Amazing Food, Warm Atmosphere, and Friendly Service at Canteen in Wallington We recently visited Canteen, a cozy new restaurant in Wallington, and were absolutely delighted by the experience! Though it’s a small place, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a lovely vibe that makes you feel right at home. The food was exceptional—every dish we tried was full of flavor and beautifully presented. You can tell they put a lot of care into their menu. What truly set this place apart was the incredible service. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and we had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who came over for a chat. He was genuinely one of the nicest people we’ve met—attentive, engaging, and passionate about what they do. I highly recommend Canteen if you’re looking for a great dining experience in Wallington. It’s a gem of a place that we’ll definitely return to soon!
Best and the most authentic Indian food experience in many many miles radius and certainly on other so-called Indian restaurants on the same road. Soon, this place is going to need bigger premises. Highly recommended.
Popped in for lunch, had a thali. Absolutely delicious, nothing left. Absolute gem of a restaurant. Quite small so booking advised at night.
The food was tasty, we found it was a little too spicy, next time we'll ask for a little less tho 😊 We also had the Mango lassie which was really nice. Wonderful atmosphere, the decor is quaintly Indian, reminding us of a Cafe rather than a restaurant which made it feel really comfortable and chilled. Would definitely go back when we are back in the neighbourhood 😊
This restaurant is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating—they’ll adapt dishes to suit your tastes such as spice tolerance. My partner and I agree it’s the best Indian restaurant we’ve tried. The food is packed with flavor; the butter chicken is a standout and a must-try! Absolutely worth the 30-minute drive. Highly recommend!
