My mum and I went to Desi Lounge for lunch today and had an incredible experience here! I normally don’t leave reviews but the kind service we got here was impeccable. The food was very flavourful and filling, highly recommend their half chicken and sheekh kebabs. The owner was so hospitable and friendly the whole time. As Bangladeshis, we loved the environment here, and we spent ages chatting with all the staff! We’ll definitely be coming back! :)

Food was good however the portions were small for the price that you’re paying. They mixed up our booking but quickly accommodated us. Service was really good and staff would check on you regularly. I would recommend they work on a kids menu because £9 for nuggets and chips is quite steep. Overall would recommend and would come back.

In summary, good service and the food was decent. The decor is nice and the restaurant is huge, on this occasion though it was just our group who were dining which meant it was an intimate dining experience. We went on a particularly hot day, they do not have air conditioning nevertheless the waiting staff did place a portable fan near us which helped a little bit. In relation to the food, the starters were passable however I found that the chicken wing starter was slightly undercooked. The mains were very good with decent portion size and the taste w and service was friendly and professional. Big shout out to the waiting staff especially the gentleman who was serving us. The prices are okay and as is the sign of the times, is on a slightly expensive side, a plate of loaded chips was £9! To summarise, the food was good and the service was also good.

Amazing customer service from Muhit. He was very polite and helpful. The food was impeccable and felt like I was eating authentic home cooked meals. We will definitely come back for future events. Thank you so much!

So we came across this place by accident as we were looking for a place to eat at Bethnal green. It was close to the station and it was not officially opened when we went. The staff were very nice and we were able to get a meal there. There is plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs and the place had a nicely decorated interior. We ordered and the food came out timely. They started you off with papadoms but the only thing that sucked was that if you requested more then you were charged. The food arrived nice and hot and my two companions enjoyed their meal. My food was flavorful but a few pieces were a little on the dry side as some of chicken was a little overcooked, Which was a shame as it was nicely spiced. There was enough to eat and certainly bang for your buck. There was no alcohol so be aware of that!! The price of food items were very good, not overpriced and as stated you get ample portions.I would eat here again as they have a vast menu with many dishes that I would love to try. There also have a very good selection if you are vegetarian. Also our serving staff were really nice and made us feel very welcomed I must say, they even checked to see if we were warm enough as it was a cold evening, but the restaurant was nice and warm. There seem to be some street parking nearby and they can certainly cater for large groups.Overall a must try place
