What an amazing place, a great manager, and she was a wonderful host for the sad occasion, and the staff team was amazing. We attended a friends wake. The food and the service were a class. I massive thank to the chef and the kitchen staff. Thank you guys. We will be back for a drink and something to eat.
A lovely pub which is well run. I've visited here many times over the years and always had a pleasant afternoon/evening. There's 2 bar areas, a large side which shows sports. The other the smaller side which we call the old bar is a bit more relaxed and seem to have a older crowd. Both sides are welcoming. They are some good large function rooms with garden and catering available which I've attended in the past for wedding receptions. Staff are polite and attentive. Its been a while since I've eaten here so can't review the food or the hotel rooms unfortunately. Off street parking available.
Excellent food. My husband and I both had the Beef Roast and it was delightful. Generous portions too. We were very kindly offered extra complimentary drinks as an apology for the wait, although it hardly felt like a long wait at all. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the staff attentive and professional.
