“Amazing experience! The atmosphere here feels like a little corner of Italy. The pasta was freshly made, and the flavors were authentic and delicious. I tried the pasta (garlic&oil), and it was perfect. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. If you’re looking for genuine Italian cuisine with a cozy ambiance, this is the place to go. Highly recommend, and I can’t wait to come back!

Our favourite place for Italian. Everything on the menu is fantastic. Great place for a midweek dinner with family and friends. They have a decent priced 2for1 cocktails. We had their Signature Spritz (it had a fun bubblegum flavor which I personally liked), lasagne, and pizza with meatballs.

I found this place by accident. I stopped for a coffee and noticed a restaurant across the street. Since we were looking for a place to eat, we decided to eat here. It was a very good decision. Very tasty food (we ordered pasta), nice service and affordable prices made me recommend this place to everyone who likes Italian cuisine.

Nice place to have a pizza with a great beer Ichnusa di Sardinia. Good size portions per pizza and if you go between 12-5pm the price will be from £5, we ordered the £5 one. Nice staff and atmosphere.

In a word, excellent. We went for brunch, and were impressed with the staff, atmosphere, food and ambience. A Place for dining on your own, with friends , or family without feeling of place. Well done, SW16 Bar & Kitchen

We were made very welcome when we arrived and very good ambience, warm and inviting. We were welcomed by Kai who took us to our table. She was kind and checked in on us during our meal. We had the cured salmon royale and the spaghetti truffle carbonara with truffle polenta chips with miso mayo. Then we treated ourselves to sticky toffee pudding and pistachio ice cream. Absolutely fabulous! The whole meal was delicious! Overall, absolutely recommend this place if you are in the area. I HIGHLY recommend! Thank you so much!

Honestly so blown away by the amazing SW16 team! Booked the snug for a gathering and the team were so kind and friendly. Every tiny request we had was taken care of immediately with a smile even though it was a Saturday night so probably peak time for them. Thank you for being so accommodating and kind. The area was just so perfect and cosy and we had lots of room to sit down. I had loads of compliments from the guests on how perfect the venue was. Couldn’t recommend more and we will definitely be returning.

This place is such a hidden gem in Streatham! The atmosphere is so cosy and cute I absolutely loved it! They also do some of the best cocktails and food! They have a deal running where they give you wine and pasta for only £15 and the pasta itself was so good! Really captured that authentic Italian taste. It’s also a co working space so the perfect spot to work from while enjoying your food and drink.

Attended breakfast this morning, Saturday, September 7th, 2024. The restaurant had an aesthetically pleasing ambiance. The quality of the breakfast and the service provided were both excellent. The pricing was reasonable. Tom and Nick demonstrated exceptional customer service skills. Well done. Please be advised that there is no parking available on the premises. However, parking is permitted on the side roads, subject to parking restrictions from Monday to Friday.

As a local Italian, I come here every Saturday and not just for the amazing food but for the warm hospitality too. I had for the first time the pizza “PEAR”, but I thought it’d be better with Gorgonzola cheese, and Vincenzo made it happen! He’s such a great host and makes the whole experience feel so Italian. Big thanks to the team for always making it such a pleasure.

Rating: 4.6 (106) Price Level:
I couldn’t fault the ambient of the restaurant from the service by Ifeanyi, the music by live DJ, the security guard was polite. More needs to be done about the food though. I had fish, garnished with fried yam/dodo, snail/vegetables, dodo/pepper sauce and tasted a bit of the pepper soup but did not feel that slap of spiciness of our typical naija delicacies! Agreed, not everyone can stand spicy foods but there should be options for everyone’s desire. Other than this, the presentation was superb! Thanks to Ifeanyi for a great service👍🏽 I will recommend this place to anymore.

This place is Top Notch African restaurant. The food is awesome. My favourite is the Bitter-leave soup. Been there on a Friday and the DJ got me dancing till I was tired. Well deserved 5 star rating. Customer service 100%

We came to celebrate our Nan's 87th Birthday and enjoyed the food and ambience! It was quite a busy night, even on a Thursday so is clearly in demand. Big shout out to Omari, he was polite, attentive and made sure we were happy with everything! We'll be coming again soon!

Visiting for the first time after seeing many reviews, was a good visit, service was excellent, catered to my needs especially coming with a small family, ordered 2 small plates, fried calamari and cheese bread which were exceptional, calamari was served with fresh lemon and tartar dip. Cheese bread was soft and cheesy was stingy, defo a must try! For mains we ordered the fisherman’s planner and sea food boil. Fisherman platter was tasty, there was a selection of king and queen prawns which fell off the skin, it was served with corn on the cob which was sweet and fresh, it also came with rice and wedges which were spicy but not too spicy, also came with mac and cheese which was fresh. Overall portion was great 5/5. The sea food boil was served with corn on the cob, lobster, calamari, shrimp and potatoes served with rice, chips and extra sauce. Overall was tasty but slightly too fishy for me and my partner 3/5. Bill came to £111, expensive but worth a try for sure? Another plus is everything on the menu is halal!

This place was amazing! The staff are all so friendly, ensuring we had enough high chairs for the kiddies and that they were occupied with colouring sheets and crayons. The staff kindly took our order which consisted of chicken skewers, chicken wings, cheesy garlic bread and halloumi sticks. The starters were that good, we decided to double order!! My favourite has to be the cheesy garlic bread, it was so cheesy and had the right amount of garlic - absolutely delicious! We ordered the Fisherman Platter and it was demolished! Everything was cooked perfectly, the chips were seasoned with its own flavour and I really enjoyed that! The prawns were not rubbery or cold which is what I was afraid of, they were really good! The rice could have done with some seasoning but i wouldn’t knock if any points as the provided sauces bought ounces of flavour to the whole platter! Other items we ordered were chicken nuggets, fish fingers, chicken burgers, mashed potatoes - all of which were great, especially the mashed potatoes, they were seasoned and well presented, no lumps on sight! My younger children really enjoyed this too. We ordered a jug of Passion Fruit Twist which went down a treat, it was a great drink and I would order this again. Overall really pleased with this place and will dine again!! Thank you!

Amazing experience. We were welcomed with a smile and guided to a corner table. The waitress was friendly and patient and took time to explain the menu as it was my first time. I had the Sailor’s platter. It was a massive collection of scrumptiously delicious. Came with four sauces I loved the peppery and garlic flavoured one. The coleslaw was yummy. Berry cocktail was the best Now the quantity was enough to feed four. Such great value for money - had to takeaway. All through the meal different waiters kept coming up to make sure we were okay. It was a beautiful experience and the ambience was calm and relaxing. Such a beautiful place. Would recommend and I’ll definitely be back. 😋😋😋

Food was amazing the sharing platters are the right portion and sauces are on point. The cocktails are delicious, we had the Pinacolada and Strawberry Mojito. We ended the meal with sticky toffee pudding, which was light yet hit the right spots and fondant chocolate which was decadent! Definitely coning back to try done more delicious food.

Marinatto
Ground Floor, 27 Streatham High Rd, London SW16 1DT, UK | Restaurant P: 07913 348688
Rating: 4.6 (382) Price Level:
The £19.95 pizza and salgado rodizio is amazing. I wish more places offered this. They let you have up to 4 flavours on a large pizza so you can sample all the options, and even have desert pizza. Great atmosphere/decor and chilled Brazilian music too.
Rating: 5 / 5
Marinatto never disappoints! The variety on the menu is impressive, showcasing authentic Brazilian flavors that are truly unique. I ordered the Du chef and chicken with catupiry, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The crust was perfectly crispy, while the toppings were fresh and bursting with flavor. Each bite was a delightful fusion of tastes, which left me craving more.
Rating: 5 / 5
One of the best brazilian restaurants in london. We had the pizza rodízio and it was great - they had authentic brazilian flavors with homemade catupiry style cheese. The churros are also really good, with doce de leite filling. I saw other tables ordering pastel and picanha and it looked really good and authentic too.
Rating: 5 / 5
We had a fantastic lunch today at Marinatto. Definitely the best pizzas I've ever eaten in the UK. The menu has lots of options of Brazilian food and the waiter Eddie was very attentive and helpful. Delicious Brazilian food, great service and a welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend Marinatto.
Rating: 4 / 5
Pleasant addition to Streatham Hill dining scene. Have to say I was pleased with the warmth of the greeting we received upon arrival. This wasn’t just professional/friendly, it made me feel that we were truly being welcomed. Came thinking I’d have a pizza, but couldn’t get excited about any of the pizza combinations on offer. Instead, I opted for the individual picanha (rump steak) served with a generous hunk of cheesy garlic bread. Tasty, and well prepared, though I wish there had been some sort of side vegetables to accompany, or even a vegetable side on the menu other than a salad I could have ordered. My dining companion had the feijoada which was also quite nice. I’m not a feijoada connoisseur, but Marinatto’s was as good as I’ve eaten in Brazil. House red was smooth and reasonably priced. Only disappointment of the meal was the starter of jalapeño balls. I’m not sure if these are made in-house or frozen, but I suspect the latter. Biggest problem was an almost total absence of jalapeños. My companion honestly thought that we’d been served an order of cheese balls instead (see photo). Total meal for two including wine and service £61.11.

Excellent service and immaculate vibes. Food was delicious! Their Mediterranean prawns are so good. A special little restaurant

An absolute gem, brilliant staff and a really delicious cordon bleu. The drinks were also lovely. The restaurant feels like a traditional Mediterranean dining experience, something that is getting rarer and rarer, especially in the UK.

My husband ended up finding Bar 61 through google reviews and decided to take me for my birthday dinner. Let me tell you, he couldn’t have picked a better place! Mel and Met are amazing and gave us great personalized service. The food was exquisite!!! The restaurant is so very well decorated and makes you feel right at home. We didn’t just get amazing food at this restaurant? we got an experience and it is one I will treasure very dear to my heart. I recommend this restaurant 10000%! You will not be disappointed.

I had my 40th celebrations here over the weekend in the private venue space and had an amazing time. Arranging the day was made super easy and Elsa and her team made sure the evening was a success. My guests loved the intimacy of the space and great fun was had by all. Thank you to the team ♥️

Hired the private room for my 25th birthday and had an amazing time! Elsa the owner is so sweet and attentive to all questions and needs, she even threw in a surprise piece of decor for me which was lovely. All of the other staff were really friendly too. Thank you again, will definitely recommend the Hamlet xx

Was there last night with our group and the whole night was made even more fabulous by the wonderful staff. The room lighting was set up perfectly creating the perfect atmosphere. The tables were arranged in a square enabling us to converse with each other easily. The food was AMAZING! We had to give the chef a round of applause. The service was OUTSTANDING. We were never left alone and we were always asked if we needed anything. The beautiful owner( can't remember her name) came to make sure we okay but she didn't have to worry. The staff were friendly, happy and professional from beginning to end, considering they had to deal with 12 very happy, loud and excited ladies. Music was provided for us while we ate and chatted and the playlist was GOOD. We would have happily stayed downstairs all night..but it was upstairs to the main area where there was more dancing.. till closing😊 There is so much more I could say but I will end with a massive THANK YOU to The Hamlet for ensuring that we had a wonderful night.

Food was cooked with love, care and plenty of attention to all the right amount of ingredients making each dish delicious!!! Always a good place to come and have a bite to eat or a great place to enjoy cocktails with friends and family! Excellent customer service and a very friendly, local spot that turns into a little taste of Mexico when you step inside! The outside dining area even has cosy blankets that are much needed in the forever warm/chilly UK!!!

Well, after visiting 35 years ago, this visit was a lovely surprise. This reincarnation wasn't anything as I remembered from way back when. It's really pulled it's socks up and is not the tacky, hen night place of the past with the Elvis impersonator. We were welcomed and seared really nicely. The staff were friendly, chatty (not overly) and helped with the drinks and menu well. A few of us were non-drinkers and our mocktails were delicious. I heard about four times... "your won't go hungry here". Never has a true word been spoken. HUGE portions. The food was mighty and tasted as good as the divine smells coming from the kitchen. The ambience was still a little light hearted, we were given the massive sombrero's as a birthday table of 10. Lots of couples seated as well. The decor has stepped up and more in line with other current Mexican restaurants. Overall. I actually would be back, enjoyed it all and will not wait another 30+ years. Well done, would recommend.

Went here for dinner on a Saturday as a group of 4. There were plenty of available tables at around 7pm. Initially we thought the music was going to be very loud inside, but if you walk in a bit more it's actually fine. We had 4 cocktails, 4 mains and one portion of nachos for £107. Note you cannot leave a tip on the card machine and service is not included in the bill. I enjoyed the drinks and the food and the hats made for some funny pictures. I'll go back!

Manor Arms
13 Mitcham Ln, London SW16 6LQ, UK | Pub P: 020 3195 6888
Rating: 4.3 (780) Price Level:
A great Streatham pub close to the overground station. An offering from Young's, well done. The place is clean and tidy, also hectic on my visit. Cool staff coping well. Just a quick visit for some refreshment today so I can't comment on the food. There is an open kitchen here though, I am confident. Football is on the screens and is getting a lot of attention. Beer is lovely as one would expect with all the usual offerings on display. A good visit.

Great lunch today with family. All of the food was fantastic, nice chilled atmosphere, good service. I had the slow roast pork, really good and a decent portion. Staff all very friendly. Kids meals good too (the small adult menu). Thanks again.
Rating: 5 / 5
The Manor Arms is a true delight and a credit to the area, best pub since Pratts closed, offering fantastic food and drink in a welcoming atmosphere. The Young’s Original is perfectly poured, and the Guinness is kept to an impeccable standard—creamy, smooth, and just right. Food-wise, they truly excel. A few days ago, I had the haddock and chips, which was cooked to perfection with its crispy batter and fresh, flaky fish. And the croque monsieur? Absolutely to die for—rich, cheesy, and utterly indulgent. Add to that the friendly, attentive staff, and you’ve got a pub that’s well worth a visit.
Rating: 5 / 5
The Manor Arms has great style and a lovely atmosphere, making it the perfect place to meet friends and kick back. It serves delicious food and makes for a cosy retreat on a November night. It's very nicely set out and is a class or two above most pubs with a circular room adjoining which is great for larger gatherings.
