Very nice middle eastern cuisine in Marylebone! This being a "small plate restaurant", you should expect to get a bit fleeced on the portion sizes for the meat dishes but they do make it up by having pretty generously portioned starters. We were impressed by the Hummus (silky smooth with some delightfully crunchy toppings) and the char-grilled chicken on sweet potato puree. The lamb had a good cook and a pleasing crust but the "grilled cabbage" and the lentils that came with it were somewhat underwhelming and did not strongly contribute to the dish.
This place can get 5stars easily for many reasons. Excellent food, lovely restaurant and nice ambience. It gets busy here so always book table in advance. Seatings inside and outside. Great selection of food on offer from vegetarian to meat and fish. All dishes are just mouth watering. We ordered shawarma and their house special Jaffa house Tel style which were awesomely good and shawarma with fried egg and hummus, tahini was at top to taste something different. I can't say prices were reasonable according to the small portion but hy it's London. All I notice one thing, there should be door at toilet entrance not curtain because it's just next to counter and in middle of dining hall which makes me feel uncomfortable when people using toilets 🙁 Highly recommended.
We had the most gorgeous evening. One of our party is vegan and there were lots of delicious options for her. The crispy mushrooms were addictive! The service was excellent and we were left to relax and chat without being hurried along. Can't wait to go back! Perfect modern Israeli cuisine.
The staff on the evening were fantastic, a surprise cake from the staff for our daughter's birthday was a treat! Again, the food was superb, and we were able to introduce someone new to your establishment who promise to be back. Every plate on the menu is worth trying but as always, the cauliflower is a winner!
