Fantastic South Indian food, amazing choice for any time of year, not just for Veganuary.

Updating my review after my second visit for the Keralan festival where we were served the banana leaf feast. Overall this place is great, traditional South Indian cuisine. I recommended the banana leaf experience, it was great to learn and experience something new. The atmosphere was also great. I probably wouldn’t do it again though. However, I’d go back again and again for the dosa.

I had an absolute blast enjoying the dosas! They were incredibly crispy, and the masala packed just the right amount of spicy goodness. Exactly what I was hoping for!

I had a fantastic experience at Puraan! The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great service and a tasty meal!

A beautiful meal from start to finish. The staff were courteous from the moment we walked in through the door and the food was just delicious. It’s no wonder it has an excellent reputation as the food is purely wholesome but incredibly flavoursome and tasty. Alongside a great wine menu and cocktails too, it’s worth a trip out of the centre for, if you’re visiting London!

Traditional, perfectly executed food. Good choice of dishes plus a specials board. What is really worth mentioning, is it was extremely good value. I felt the customer is respected, food that does not cut corners, quality ingredients, cooked with care and the plating was assured. Sometimes that is exactly what you want but rarely find. I highly recommend booking at jumping into a taxi for a perfect dinner in a lovely brasserie.

What more can i say than Les 2 Garçons being now my favourite place to eat. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by the jovial and wonderful J-C who makes sure to keep a smile on your face. Safe to say we ate like kings from the pictures, i would recommend the Scallops with the endive butter sauce, and the Pear Tarte Tatin as being outrageously good. But by all means our other courses were beyond anything else i’ve had from any other restaurants. To keep an insanely delicious array of dishes and have it be that way consistently throughout the course of our meal made us question how it was possible for food to taste this good. You have to thank the larger than life character that is Chef Robert who you can see in the dining hall taking orders and talking with clients. Which adds a dimension to Les 2 Garçons that you rarely see anywhere else. Anyway if you’ve not been, you’re missing out big time

Make sure you book before you go! We booked and came in a hot summers day. suffice to say, there is no air conditioning and they had a few oscillating fans but was still suffocating hot inside… Despite that, the food we got was all so delicious. It felt like a very family owned restaurant where the chef cares about each individual dish served. All but one was absolutely delicious… would still come again but not order that one let down. We didn’t quite like the confit ducks it felt dry, the skin had peeled off, and just tasted bland. the sauce was also sub par… not sure how this dish got served when everything else was 5/5. Highly recommended still !

An absolutely wonderful little gem in Crouch End. The restaurant is very small and cosy, with a handful of guests. Makes for a very intimate and quiet setting. It’s nice to pay in advance and have certainty around the bill. It’s also exciting to discover the menu on the evening. Absolutely recommended.

What a lovely small restaurant ! Cosy, cosy, and delicious food! We had a great time! I liked the idea of everyone getting the same food at the same time. Like a family meal when your mother will say, "You eat what I give you!" Last night, the chef prepared delicious food! I enjoyed the tomato dish, the dessert, the bread, and the beef. Overall, I enjoyed every dish! Thank you!

£50 set menu Thursday night. Matches wines for £25. Delicious well cooked meals with balance and care. Service was swift and on point. Highly recommend.

This was the most special dining experience I have ever had. Me and my partner came here the weekend before Christmas and every moment for us was perfect. Our host was so attentive and made sure the whole room was well looked after. Every course from the fresh baked sourdough to the poached pear pudding was perfectly cooked, amazingly balanced and beautifully presented. We spoke briefly after with the owners and they were just as lovely as the evening itself! I love their way of running the restaurant that means there is little food waste and are able to cook seasonally. I couldn’t recommend coming here more and we will be back very soon.

We came to Miller & Carter Muswell Hill for a birthday meal, and it was fantastic. Our waiter, Barash, introduced himself and was really great throughout the evening. He explained the menu clearly and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious, and Barash’s friendly service made it even better. We had a lovely time and would definitely recommend it for a special occasion.

Atmosphere was amazing as always! Food was absolutely banging ! 10/10! I had the lamb rump - beautifully done. Our server Elena was a delight! - Great energy and great recommendations!

Had dinner at Miller & Carter tonight and we had such a great time. The place looks amazing and the interior design it’s magnificent. Food was really good as well. The cherry on top was our waiter Antonio, who was very polite, cheerful and explained our menu to us since it was our first time here. He also recommended us a few nice starters. Definitely coming back and totally recommending it!!

We booked a table at Miller and Carter in Muswell Hill. It was our first time at this particular venue, as we've usually been to the Miller & Carter's in West London. Firstly, the decor is beautiful. It is based inside of an old church and the detail is exquisite. The dimmed lighting sets such a romantic atmosphere. Miglena was our waitress and she was super friendly and helpful. The food was really tasty and the drinks went down well. An overall fantastic dinner experience, we would highly recommend

The best Turkish restaurant I’ve tried in England! Having been to Turkey, I can confidently say the flavors and cooking style are authentically Turkish. The dishes are incredibly flavourful, served in generous portions, and reasonably priced. I’ll definitely recommend it to friends and look forward to returning!

When I go to a Turkish restaurant, I immediately thought of mixed grill platter and this restaurant definitely top the notch! You can ask for bread and salad to refill as complimentary if you have the stomach to eat all that and the meat platter! The meat was juicy and tender. Not only that, the sauces they come in the bottle were just extraordinary. Spicy sauce was just divine! My wife and I poured more than half of it to our plate. Goes really well with the meat. Overall, great experience. The restaurant has plenty of space and get busy during evening. I was there around 5.30pm with my 15 months infant, we were given a corner area for us and felt really comfortable. Suggest to call in advance to get a table secured! Price may be a bit high but I think with the quality of meat and the condiments that come with it, it’s definitely worth it. The restaurant does a lot of other Turkish dishes to select as well. So you won’t come in with nothing to eat for sure 😄

Great food as per usual, great value for money. As soon as I sat down, I was offered a large salad and warm bread, sign of excellent service. I then had the Sama Beyti, I think, as pictured. Perfect. The staff were friendly and kind, very North London. Lovely place.

Stayed on site at the Green rooms and came back to the restaurant after a gig at Ally Pally…what an unexpected find. Beautiful vibe, fabulous service from Monica, delicious food. This little gem will be worth a visit each time we’re in London, it’s worth the extra few tube stops out of the City. Absolutely fantastic!

Update: I decided to give Oita another try, and this time, my food was really good, so I've updated my 3 stars to 4 stars. The service was better my first visit, but the food was much better on my second visit. I will definitely be coming back 😁 ------ Original review: I will start by saying that the service was great here... staff were really friendly and attentive. However, my food was just a little disappointing. I had the spicy seafood ramen and prawn gyoza. Gyoza was slightly burnt, and ramen was ok but lacked a bit of taste if I'm being honest. If I do come back, then hopefully, I can try something else. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. It's a lovely little venue, I just would've liked to enjoy my food a bit more.

Amazing mixed grill is served here with freshly warm baked bread and salad to complement your meal. Portion sizes are great and is fair to the price. I will definitely be making a return visit here next time I’m in town! There is Great service here with authentic flavourful food.

I recently dined at Selale, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, setting the perfect tone for a wonderful meal. Our waiters, Dilara and Sinan, were outstanding—Dilara was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations, while Sinan added a lively, friendly vibe that made us feel right at home. The food was beautifully presented and full of flavor, clearly prepared with care. Selale is definitely a place I’ll be returning to, especially with such excellent service!

The food tasted great. It's street food with fancy prices. But to be fair the salad, bread and desserts are included. All were tasty though. Tea is included as well but we did not have any. Probably why the dishes are a tad bit higher than usual. I don't go to Turkish restaurants often and I'm not sure if that is the norm and it would have been great if they told you these things. We got the dessert, I think it was baclava but they did not say what it was. We also needed to know what was in it to be sure, in case of allergies etc. Whilst service was good, it would have been better if they communicated better and told us the names of the dips. A solid 4 stars.

I had the best service from the lady in the morning… she made me feel like at home, recommended what to have and always had a smile on her face. We had Ali Nazik lamb and mixed kebab which was beautifully cooked and served… great portion even had a meal to take home. Thank you for everything, defo worth the two hour drive for the food xx

The 29th of November, I went to this amazing restaurant with some friends for dinner. Given that some of its walls are embellished with flowers and LED lights, which provide for a great background for a striking shot, the restaurant has a very modern architectural design. In addition, the meal is amazing; In my opinion, the meat they serve is of excellent quality, and I heartily suggest it to everyone who enjoys lamb. This is my second visit to the restaurant, and the customer service is excellent as they greet you warmly and with a warm grin as soon as you walk through the door. To everyone who want to enjoy a really delicious Turkish cuisine, I heartily suggest it.

The taste of every dish was just like in Turkey. We went as a group of friends from four different countries. All my friends mentioned how hospitable the place was and found the food absolutely delicious. Moreover, the prices were very reasonable compared to other places. The service and attention were excellent. I definitely recommend it. Many thanks to Mr. Abbas; we’ll definitely be back! :)

Exceptional service, attention to nutritional details. A la carte menu and set menu give customers a wide variety of delicious dishes for both meat and veg eaters. Friendly warm environment and polite, courteous, hospitable staff. The ambience is truly welcoming. Thank you for making our little girls birthday memorable.

Great spot. Brilliant t value for money as the food was well priced and tasty. Server was friendly, attentive and welcoming. Could do with a couple more veggie options but what there was was very tasty, so no complaints.

⭐ I have frequented this restaurant very regularly over the last ten years and, every time, the food is exceptional. I have made some lovely memories in this place and it's dear to me. This particular visit saw me sitting by the window. The waitress is lovely and recognised me even though I hadn't really visited in about a year. I ordered my usual English Breakfast with no milk. She brought me a little dish with sliced lemons without being asked. I love when the staff show attention to detail like that. I ordered beef bourguignon which was very hearty. The beef was tender and everything in it just went so nicely together. Other dishes I would recommend is the duck breast with cherry liqueur sauce and the steaks (my favourite is the rib eye) which are done to perfection, especially when combined with truffle butter. The seasonal soups are always good and the bread platter with a trio of special butters are to die for - that's called the starter bread on the menu. I had the seafood linguine (Linguine de Mare) every trip like clockwork for years but alas pasta doesn't agree with me these days, a reflection of my age and not the dish! The decor of blue and wood and what appears to be stacked wine crates make you feel like you're in a little slice of Italy. The creme caramel was the best here but they've taken that off the menu, which is a shame. They used to have a screen that played old silent movies. I miss that too. But maybe that's a good thing there are no screens here. No matter how busy it gets here, it's never so loud that you can't hear yourself speak. Mélange is such a unique and beautiful restaurant with great character and professional staff that go the extra mile and are genuinely warm and inviting that it receives the Conscious Humaning's Star of Excellence.

I visited this restaurant with one of my Romanian friends. She recommended a few of the vegan dishes from their menu, and I must say each of them were so delicious and perfectly crafted by chefs. The service was so up to mark. The man who served us was very kind and friendly. He guided me with best vegan Romanian food. I absolutely loved it and highly recommend anyone who is looking forward to explore. This place is located at very Silent area so you can have a chill while enjoying food.

Lovely service and a nice chill atmosphere! The venue is absolutely beautiful just like the food. Lonut was attentive and generous which added to such a wonderful experience! A well deserved 5 star experience.
