We found this place while looking for a South Indian cuisine as we were close to the area. It was a good find with good food which lived up to our expectations. We hope to return again to dry more dishes.

Wonderful Onam experience today. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back in near future, you need to visit this place for a real feel of Kerala food and warm hospitality.

The food was excellent! My husband got vegetable samosas and chicken tikka for starter and lamb biryani for main. He said everything was sublime! My vegan dishes instead were tarka daal for starter (best I’ve ever had) and a peanut/coconut aubergine curry (which was out of this world!!!) with a delicious side of green beans fried with spices and coconut shavings. Service very attentive and polite as well as knowledgeable in terms of ingredients, making sure everything I ordered was vegan. A polite suggestion for the kitchen staff to be a bit quicker, as they took just over 1.5 hours to prepare 3 starters and 2 mains for the two of us (and there was only another table with guests in the restaurant, as we went early, as soon as they opened at 6pm. I don’t want to imagine how many hours it would have taken if the restaurant was busy. But a great experience all in all and we will definitely return!

Absolutely delicious Onam Sadhya. What made the meal and experience memorable was how the team served food and took care of the customers. The Onam Sandhya and the warmth felt like home away from home. Very pleased to have visited the restaurant. Kudos to the team! 🙌🌸

We loved our stay here! From the moment we walked in to this gorgeous building it was clear that everyone who worked at the Black Lion was going to ensure we had a fantastic stay. We had a king room and it was stunning. It felt so luxurious and was very quiet despite there being a pub downstairs. We very much enjoyed the included breakfast and appreciated the kind service from everyone we encountered here. They all went out of their way to help us out and we are very thankful. The location was great as we had friends living nearby, but it was also very easy to get into the city or other attractions by bus, Underground or Uber. We truly couldn't recommend the Black Lion enough. You simply must experience it for yourself!

The interior details, service, food, and environment was perfect for this hotel! The accommodations were spacious, welcoming, and beautifully prepared. The staff Were very kind, and went above and beyond more than once. They surprised me by decorating my room when I was out on my birthday. They even came and killed the spider one day that I noticed wandering the wall! They offered to carry bags, and made sure everything was clean into our liking. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, and the fireplace, warm food, and wonderful service were over the top! The only downfall is the location it is in. About a 3 minute walk to the underground, not bad - but the businesses between the hotel and tube were very unclean, unkempt, so abandoned, and a little less presentable. it wasn’t ideal for comfortably walking around at night outside. But once you were at the pub and boutique, everything changed!

A really warm and helpful welcome by guest house managers and pub staff. The room (twin) was spacious and elegantly furnished, with all mod cons including good quality coffee. Breakfast was generous. The building is 200+ years old, Grade 2 listed (historic protected) and really fine, both inside and out. Neighbourhood has many interesting small restaurants. Wishing the new owners every success.

Great weekend stay. Room was very comfortable with Rituals toiletries. Breakfast was continental style but enough to start your day (sourdough bread was really lovely). The pub was busy in the evening and had a good vibe and friendly staff. Good location - only a 5 minute walk from tube station. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby

The food here is wonderful. We were in London for a number of days so we went back for a second time. We had not eaten this cuisine before but the staff kindly helped us put together a great variety to try. All so delicious. And they just kept bringing warm bread from the oven for free. In fact, the value for money was outstanding - a meal for 4 cost £74 including drinks. Also, the staff are friendly and attentive. Do give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed

Such delicious food, we had the Beiruty hummus with pita, and chicken shish touk plate, which were both spot on. The chicken was juicy and tender and the Lebanese rice with it were so nice. Highly recommended!

It was one of the best meals I've had in London. Drinks were good flavors and not overpowering. Hummus had the right of spice, Greek salad, and chicken shawarma, all incredible flavoring. Their baklawa was the perfect finish to complete the meal. If around, I definitely recommend stopping in for a fantastic meal.

Awesome quality food with great selection for vegetarian and meat eaters. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The ambiance’s is lovely and the food is good value. It’s our go to restaurant whenever we went a good meal. Definitely worth the visit.

I went there with some family and it was an amazing experience! Food was immaculate (the Moravian smoked sausage was a stand out) and the budvar was poured the correct way!! Service was friendly and attentive and the venue was lovely. Would recommend to anyone looking to have some good Czech/slovak food in a friendly environment

Really enjoyed the food, we had smoked sausage starter and potato pancakes. For mains the goulash and roast pork. The sauerkraut had a lovely flavour. The honey cake dessert was possibly the highlight apart from the great beer. Will come again.

First time trying Slovakian food and the experience. The waitress recommended the goulash and I live the dumplings. The Marlenka honey cake was a great choice for dessert unlike the pancake with jam which was really disappointing. Good service and the waitress was lovely.

I'm really impressed with the food. It's gotten really good! Only one thing I'd say be aware of is happy hour. We weren't aware of it, so ordered what we wanted, then checked our receipt and they took my drink and my friend's started and put it together as happy hour item and we actually paid extra because his starter was cheaper than mine so I'm assuming the system has automatically put it together and instead of it being £9.6 we paid £9.9 for happy hour lol. I'd have saved if they did put both of mine items but haven't noticed till I got home so it's my bad.

The food was amazing, the service was amazing, food arrived early even though my family and I came in late, the place felt comforting, a nice place to eat without people shouting or screaming. We had a nice, the tiramisu was amazing definitely a must when ordering from the place the pizza tastes exactly like Italian pizza it reminded me of the place me and my child went to when we were in Italy, the pasta was top tier, pasta that I never tasted before my son and me were delighted by the food , it looked so mesmerising. 5 out 5 100%

Best food ever, proper Italian flavours. Rahul, our waiter was just one of the bests. Attentive, polite and never too pushy. Very attentive to our children as well. The extra mile was extended to two miles at least :-) Many thanks for the whole dinner experience.

Thank you so much Quartieri! Yesterday we celebrate my son’s 8th birthday at the Pizzeria and everything was absolutely amazing. The pizzas were delicious. The place was lovely. The team was great, very friendly, helpful and so nice in helping us to set up the cake , the happy birthday song and the atmosphere to celebrate. Thank you so much
