Highly recommended! The food was delicious, we ordered several items, and everything was so tasty and well cooked. The vibe was wonderful and warm. Our server, Alina, was so kind and attentive! She was amazing and made our experience top notch.

Brother Marcus’s brunch had a unique blend of Mediterranean and English cuisine. I quite enjoyed the jam served with the fried chicken rösti. I’d say the shakshuka was the standout dish. The dessert brioche was a bit too sweet for me and hid the flavors they were going for. One thing of note were the ergonomics of the cup for coffee and the water bottles. They were hard to grip on full, and the coffee handle was far too small for anyone with normal-sized hands and grip strength. This can be overcome by holding the plate and drinking the coffee. Good food overall. Troublesome cutlery. Service was nice, although perhaps the waiters came and asked if we wanted more food and drink a bit too many times. Would recommend.

I had a lovely late lunch with the kids. They enjoyed the food especially the rip and dips. All three dips were so tasty. The bream was delicious! Our lovely waiter Eve made definitely made the whole experience more relaxed and enjoyable. She gave us great recommendations which were perfect for us!

Delicious food and good service. went for a midweek dinner with a friend and shared lots of vegetarian plates- the aubergine skewer and the fennel tzatziki were especially good as well as the baklava pistachio ice cream sandwich. Marian served us promptly & politely with a good recommendation of the number of dishes we should have - service was attentive throughout. Would recommend and return!

Lovely take on Mediterranean cuisine brought into the modern world. A fairly concise menu that's easy to navigate, and dishes with vibrancy, colour and bursting with flavours. We ended up going for Marcus' Choice (*see note below) which gave a great variety of dishes, including the Rip and Dip Platter with two extra Toasted Pita, Baked Beetroot, Pan-Fried Halloumi, Charred Celeriac, Crispy Aubergine Skewer, Potato Chips, Crispy Calamari, Pan Seared Bream, Grilled Pork Rib-Eye, Baklava Sandwich and Chocolate Brownie *My only niggle would be for four people at £42 pp, so £168, I totalled the value of the dishes above to be £140.8. Even though it's nice not to think, I feel like this is too far undervalued. So I would recommend essentially the above for 4 people, swapping some Mezze dishes where preferred. A selected dessert each would make this option better, instead of sharing two perhaps. But the food was delicious, and staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.

At least fourth time of visiting. I have just noticed either the chef changed or the seasonal menu is not the best this time (September 2024). Absolutely very French and nice take on the courses. Note the portions are quite big. Reserve beforehand or low chance finding a table.

After living in S.E. London for 12 years, we finally visited here June 2022, glad we did too. A little cute restaurant on the corner, sitting outside in the summer, aided with a Picon Bière, was lovely. Such top quality food, the portions were very good too. The service is inexcusably French too, so don’t mess about! ;)

We really enjoyed every single dish! Especially beef Wellington. House red wine was lovely as well. Casserole Croute restaurant is cozy, it reminds so many places in France! We will definitely be back and recommend to friends!

The food and staff were incredible. The menu changes every day but we had the lobster ravioli, snails in pastry, the lamb, Guinea fowl and duck. Followed by the apricots and rhubarb desserts. We went with the wine and champagne that was recommended and the barista definitely knew his pairings! I would recommend going at lunch time, as you have a much more relaxed atmosphere and can take your time, as dinner gets a little busy.

Lovely atmosphere and love the old school feeling and having to call and make a booking etc. As the menu changes I suppose it really depends on when you go how happy you will be. We weren’t overly impressed with tonights selection but have friends who have gone and had the beef wellington and said that it was to die for. So I think it can be hit and miss due to the menu selection

One of the best pastas in London, a lot of variety for vegetarians and vegans as well. Quick service and great wine selection. The only downside is space, we had to be crunched up on a small table which made eating quite difficult otherwise 100% recommend!

Arrived just before 6 PM and didn’t have to queue (walk-ins only). The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy. We shared three pastas, all reasonably priced, generously portioned, and delicious. The pappardelle was my favorite—perfectly al dente with rich flavors. The tiramisu was a great finish to the meal. I ordered Moscato d’Asti expecting a sparkling wine, but it wasn’t fizzy. The staff were helpful, though it seems they don’t have it in stock. Not a big deal, but the menu could use an update. Great experience overall—I’ll be back!

Fantastic fresh tasty pasta in a really authentic feeling neighbourhood restaurant. We did a Sunday lunch and had to wait outside before it opened to guarantee a table as we had an early train home and gald we did as it soon filled up and you cannot book. The service was faultless and we all had different plates of food and everyone wad a winner and very reasonably priced for the area. Highly recommended.

Been here multiple times, amazing food and warm service as always. A safe spot to bring London visitors to dine in as they’re very consistent in quality. We had to share tables with a few other groups on a long table which we’re perfectly fine with, however if you’re not a fan of that make sure to arrive early to secure a table or reserve!

Rating: 4.5 (1620) Price Level:
Our meal was genuinely 10/10. The food and drinks are fantastic. Service was ok - the restaurant was full in fairness though. It is quite cramped and the tables pushed together, but in my opinion it’s completely worth it for how good the food is. Will definitely be returning

Excellent authentic tapas, short walk from London Bridge station if you’re heading through and after dinner. So glad I found this spot! Service was super excellent and friendly- it’s a tiny restaurant and we had a short wait on a Wednesday evening but we were well cared for during and it was for sure worth it. It’s popular - very loud and tight inside but this wasn’t a problem for us

Worth the reviews and queues. Great spot for tapas around Bermondsey. 20minute wait for a seat (I went solo) though the line went down quickly. Small inside, you are seated close to others. Great menu, quick service, friendly staff. Recommend highly.

We came to José after it was recommended for us. It is a small restaurant located about 10-15 minutes away from the London bridge. There was a que when we arrived but we were seated on a small table in about 30 mins but was located in front of the restaurant. The staff were attentive and kind and gave suggestions for items on the menu. The food was very good with the highlights being the croquettes, cod and the pork! And it coming out quickly as well. All in all a very good experience I would recommend José to anyone looking for Spanish tapas food in the area!

So simple. So good Some places mess about adding too much of this or that. Jose don't. This is my third visit to one of Jose Pizarro's restaurants, and the original little tapas bar didn't disappoint. Great range of tapas and some slightly larger dishes if you're hungry. Complement that with a range of Sherry, wine and beer and you're on to a winner. Perfect for any time of the day. Will be back to try other dishes on the menu. When the cured meat, cheese, olives and seafood is so good, it's a
