High praise to wonderful vet doctor/surgeon Mr Phakkey and his team is well overdue on my part (have been with them for 15 happy years!!) These professionals are warm / kind / caring and knowledgeable, also good at sharing their knowledge about our pets with us, owners - outstanding service from this surgery!! My pets have always been well looked after - thank you all!!

Genuinely the best vet, hands and paws down. Kind, caring, easy to get an appointment and reasonably priced. Mr Phakkey and his team are wonderful and a great contrast to all the nasty corporate group practices that are sadly so common now.

I moved Buddy to Animal Choice in 2022 and I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a new vet. Buddy loves going there.... and that's even after he's had to have some pretty unpleasant procedures so that says a lot! The whole team is so welcoming, kind, knowledgeable and committed to getting each pet healthy and happy again. No problem or query is too big or small for this team to deal with or respond to asap. An outstanding veterinary practice in my opinion!

This isn’t our usual vet - which is 150 miles away - but am now registered for when we are in London with our Tibetan, Ted. I am extremely glad we found such an excellent practice. Our 12 year old dog became ill suddenly and it was very worrying. Everyone I interacted with on the phone and at the practice was lovely & Jill, the vet was thorough and very reassuring. Thank you.

Great first time visiting this Vet. He explained everything really well and seemed very knowledgeable. The 2 receptionists ladies (Karlae and Huma) are wonderful! Very helpful, sweet and chatty. They also carry Royal Canin and my dog loves that brand. I will definitely come back here. Thank you! :)

My experience with Abingdon Veterinary Clinic was fantastic! From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted my cat so warmly, making us feel right at home. I’ve been coming to Abingdon Vet since 2009 and although I was very sad when the previous owner vet left, I have been happy with the current vets so far. Every staff is friendly and professional, too. I think the resident vet, Jose, is so knowledgeable. He got to the bottom of my dog’s illness and she is now stable with the right treatment and doing well. I have moved a bit further from the practice now but I’m not changing the vet any time soon!

I've been going to Abingdon for the last 2+ years with my elderly dog. They are always super helpful and supportive. The whole team at reception are especially kind and accommodating. They've made managing a tough few years that little bit easier. 🙏🏼

Our 1.5 years old female British Blue female seemed to have a UTI (on a Saturday at 8-9pm) so we called the London Animal Hospital and they said that while non life threatening she must have been in pain and they could see her soon. The vet and the nurse on call were both super kind and would explain everything in details to us. You can tell that they love animals and are super competent. I couldn’t recommend more this place to look well after your pets

A special thank you to Dr. Adam Rouan for the incredible care he gave my 7-month-old kitten. She had quite a few issues, and Adam went above and beyond to figure out the best treatment with minimal side effects. This was particularly important since my kitten was so small at the time, and many medications carried risks. He was so patient and thorough, and it’s clear he genuinely cares about the animals he looks after. I am very grateful that he treats her with so much care, has attention to detail and a sincere desire to help. And I think my adorable kitten stole his heart ;) Also, a big thank you to the lovely ladies at reception, Serena and Jasmin, who are always so friendly and helpful, making every visit much easier and nurse Jessica with her sweet little Poppy that brightens everyone’s day. You’ve all been amazing—thank you so much!

I have been to many vets over the 15 years ive had dogs and this place is by faaaar the BEST place i have taken my dogs. The doctor i saw was Helen and she was absolutely incredible. Lolas checkup lasted 30 minutes and every question i had was answered, every issue addressed and lola had a thorough checkup done. All healthy and good. The appointment didn't feel rushed AT ALL and i felt very comfortable and sensed a good vibe the whole time i was there. I was never forced to stick unnecessary vaccines into my dog, buy dog food from them or get a dirty look when i told her my 8 year old was not spayed. I find this is very common with many vets ive visited, which really puts me off and i find myself looking for a new vet every time they try to force their beliefs onto me and not respect my decision. I can already sense that i wont be changing vets again anytime soon! All the staff there were polite, kind and so lovely. Lola walked away with a tummy full of treats too, so she wasn't complaining either. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone who's looking for a place to take their dog and who genuinely cares about their dogs health.

Wonderful experience throughout! My dog Bella was referred to the clinic by our vets. She’s very anxious so I was quite stressed about the appointment. The staff were welcoming, friendly and kind from the receptionist to the consultant. We saw Dr João Loureiro who is simply wonderful. He clearly explained Bella’s diagnosis and all the necessary steps to manage her condition. He treated Bella with patience and kindness. I’m so so grateful and happy about the experience. Thank you!

From the moment I walked through the entrance warmth, kindness and empathy was shown to my kitten Archie and me. Their expert knowledge and calm assurance gave me full confidence that Archie was in the best possible hands. After examination and x-rays I was given a full explanation as to the cause and the impacts of his condition. We were able to discuss both the short and long term prognosis and then what course of action would be best given his young age. After he was admitted for surgery I left feeling confident and re-assured that he was in the best hands. I received regular phone calls with progress updates, immediately after surgery and then regularly until I picked him up to take him home, giving me the reassurance I needed that he was progressing well. Kikki is wonderful, a knowledgeable specialist who genuinely cares about her patients. She explains everything in a calm, clear way with great patience. I would not hesitate to recommend London Vet Specialists to anyone who has a pet in need of their expertise.

I cannot thank the team enough for their services during what was one of the most difficult and stressful times of my life a few months ago. All of the staff were super helpful and went above and beyond, (big shoutout to the ladies on reception who are all superstars) and I am particularly grateful to Helen for everything she did for my cat, ultimately saving her life. Their services, professionalism, and dedication really goes above and beyond anything I have experienced - not just at a vets but probably at any establishment! I really cannot not thank the LVS team enough for their truly remarkable support towards my fur-baby and I will genuinely never forget it - you’re all brilliant.

The care our little terrier received after being bitten by a big dog last week has been exceptional. Our vet, Samantha Nightingale, could not have been more compassionate, explaining the process and rationale behind all of her decisions, putting our worried minds at ease. We really felt he was in the best hands possible. Our little guy is well and truly on the mend now with a (very neat) bruiser scar...soon to be covered by scruffy fur again! I had to find vet in emergency. Elizabeth st were great. The vet I saw was kind and caring and did a great job. Prices were really reasonable compared to other emergency vet’s. I would recommend this practice. Only one negative point. They took ages to fill in my simple insurance form over 5 weeks. Way too long . And although promised call backs I never got them. This needs addressing.

This morning my dog had some blood in his urine and when I called the Elizabeth street veterinary clinic, they were very helpful and found an appointment for me very quickly. When I came in, everyone was absolutely lovely and nice. The vet I met with took time to understand what was going on, asking a lot of questions and not jumping into conclusions. She took some time to reassure me and explain the next steps in order for my dog to receive the proper care. Thank you so so much! I am very grateful!

Honestly I came across this vet today on a Saturday afternoon as an emergency as my 18 year old cat was not well at all. I previously took him to Bluecross Victoria & they were no good and was telling me I had to leave my cat overnight for scan and that he might not make it the night. I called this place and they said they were able to do a scan straight away after a vet examined him. They then discussed with us that my cat was very weak and had too many health issues and me and my sisters just decided to put him out of his missery. This vet honestly I will sing its praise out loud I’m so grateful I came across you lovely people and so happy that my baby was able to have peaceful sleep and can finally put to rest. Thankyou guys so much we really appreciate you !!!!!!

Have been with the practice for 4 years. Nara, our Shiba Inu, has been looked after really well through joint issues, infections, allergy diagnosis, vaccinations & Animal Health Check Certificates. The team have been thorough, helpful and personable. There is always useful advice made available and it is explained in a simple way (for example the animal health check certificate process was well explained in person and followed up over email with the courier for our dog when travelling to Spain) It has always been straightforward to access medical records and make insurance claims. We have been very satisfied with our experience at the vets. There's a handy shop inside too should you need anything from hypoallergenic food, to toys and puppy training gear. Thanks team, one happy pooch (and owner)

I’ve had many vets in many places over the years and have been lucky that most of them have been very good. This practice is at the very top of my list. The facility is nicely designed, clean, welcoming and doesn’t have that cold hospital feel. The people that work there are all very kind, and clearly know their patients. They provide factual feedback about a situation with the animal’s health in their best interest. It’s also in a nice area with coffee shops, cafes, and a park. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a vet.

After being with many different vets taken over by big vet corporations.. charging us a fortune and not sorting out our dogs problems, seeing a different vet each time you go in to review his condition. we were so happy to find Amwell vets. They sorted out his problems so quickly. It’s so nice that you see the same person each time you’re here, they know your pet and really care. So so so happy to have our pup in their care, we just feel like he is in the most capable hands possible.

This isn't my usual branch of Village Vet, but I have been here before when my normal branch in St John's Wood was flooded. Had to bring my poorly cat Arthur here during the festive season as there were no appointments at our usual - and they were just as great as our regular vets. Friendly, honest and expert professional service. The vet was lovely and my cat was looked after with care and treated for a reasonable price. Fingers crossed, he seems to be back to his bright-eyed and bushy-tailed self now! Thanks so much to everyone at Village Vet Primrose Hill.
