Myself and my partner recently lost our first fur baby, Rodney the hamster. Kriek and Gibson have been nothing short of amazing throughout the entire process, treating all of us, including Rodney, with immeasurable respect and sensitivity. We are forever thankful that the staff at Kriek and Gibson allowed Rodney’s last moments to be safe and full of comfort.

Dealt with the loss of our pet with respect and care. Even once our little one had passed on, we still heard from them with cards and even a paw print that we never asked for, but are very grateful for. Cannot recommend them enough. Thank you to everyone at the vets.

This practice is one of a kind. As “mum” to two beautiful doggies I’ve had a terrible time the last 3 weeks with both my boys falling ill. I have been a nervous wreck and phoned them and visited so often. Tania has been so patient with me and so kind to my boys and they r thankfully both on the mend. Even the receptionists have been so understanding and caring I’m so greatful to all they have done xxx thank you so very much everyone who have been so kind and made my boys better xx couldn’t recommend enough

I've been bringing my black Labrador, Felix, to Kriek and Gibson Veterinary Surgery for the past two years, and my wife and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the care he has received. The team is consistently professional and compassionate, making both Felix and us feel at ease. They provided excellent assistance with the health certificate we needed for traveling abroad, and the process was top-notch. They took the time to explain every detail of Felix's treatment and answered all our questions thoroughly. Felix is always treated with kindness and attention, which puts our minds at ease. The clinic is clean and well-organized, contributing to an overall positive experience. We highly recommend Kriek and Gibson Veterinary Surgery for their exceptional care and dedication.

Excellent service across two visits at Medivet Chipstead for my boys Tom & Jerry who unfortunately were suffering from an upper respiratory tract infection and Laryngitis as they had both lost their Meows. The treatment there was fantastic especially as they were fitted in us in at the last minute. Excellent, knowledgeable and very friendly vets one of which was called Francesco but the other I unfortunately don’t know the name of the lady but she apparently specialised in older cats. She was also excellent and extremely friendly though and the nursing staff were also lovely and very friendly too. The other person who deserves a mention is the lovely lady on reception who is super helpful and extremely polite and friendly and is just the sort of person you need to chat to when you’re worried about your fur kids. All in all I’d recommend Medivet Chipstead to everyone.

I cannot express my thanks enough to ALL the staff at GVG for the empathy and compassion shown to me in the final few days of my cat Max’s life, but also for the thoughtful words in the card sent to me after his passing and for the 4 paw prints from Max that were enclosed. Max, a small but mighty cat pictured here with his best friend Murphy, enjoyed 17 years of life and his final few hours couldn’t have been handled any better than they were by the professionals involved. Thank you to Andy and the team for helping me make the difficult but right decision at the end.

Simply incredible care from all the team at Anwell. After a poor experience from another vet we came here & so glad we did. Looked after a very poorly Greyhound so well. Talked me through all the tests needed & upfront with very reasonable costs. After an X-ray it was clear that she had an incurable tumour. Greg was incredible with his compassionate way of dealing with both us & the way we had to have her put down. Made a horrendous time as smooth & peaceful as it could have been. I would highly recommend Anwell to anyone.

This vet practice is so lovely. Having my two puppies registered here offers real peace of mind. All the vets we have seen have been just amazing with the boys. The reception staff are always warm and interact with the pups. They’re always very generous with the treats too, which the boys appreciate. The puppy plan and level of care is excellent value for money. You don’t feel ripped off with the treatment costs either. And they bent over backwards to correct a admin mistake and took full responsibility. You can tell everyone there really cares and loves animals.

All the staff go above and beyond to ensure the animals in their care are looked after with professionalism and love. I can't praise the care highly enough. They have always respect the age and temprament of all our cats, and offered appropriate treatment. Such a lovely vets! They have been seeing my Cat Bella since she was a kitten, they were brilliant with her from the day we first took her there and so caring. Bella was unfortunately given to me at 6 weeks old and wasn’t the healthiest but they brought her back to life and checked up on her with phone calls to see how she was. They really are so caring and brilliant with the animals in their care. I couldn’t recommend enough

Our rescue dog recently attended her annual visit for vaccine and check up. This is her third/fourth visit here, the first was during the covid period where she had to go in alone with the staff. As she had only been with us a short time and a reactive rescue we were probably as nervous as she was. She was fine and behaved for the staff. This latest visit she had a tender abdomen which appeared to be due to her glands. She was unusually reactive when having them emptied, (no dog probably enjoys this anyway), especially if it’s making you a little more uncomfortable than usual. The vet remained very calm and patient with her and suggested ways to calm her before future visits over a period of time to desensitise her. The vet remained professional throughout the consultation and considered the anxiety levels in our dog before proceeding with the next check, never making us feel like the appointment was taking too long and suggesting resources that may be useful as owners of a rescue dog. Taking on a rescue is never easy as they can be unpredictable. You never know how badly they have been mis-treated in the past and are constantly learning new triggers for them. Vet on the hill takes your pet at face value and shows them the same care and respect as a dog without ‘issues’, making you as the owner feel more relaxed on a visit.

Windmill Farm Boarding Kennels & Cattery

Rating: 4.3 (103) Price Level:

Used Windmill farm and kennels for the first time this weekend. My boy Dice is a big boy, but this wasn’t an issue at all for the team! He was well looked after, happy and had nice muddy paws when I collected him! Showing he had a good time out in the fields. The following day now he is absolutely shattered still! Being an Amstaff he is sometimes subject to breed discrimination. However this wasn’t the case at windmill! The positive comments at collection were lovely to hear. The booking with Jonathan was smooth and he was accommodating to my changing dates. Thanks to the whole team! I’m sure we’ll see you again soon.

We've used Windmill Farm for about 2 years now and we were nervous that things would change with the new owners. We needn't have worried! It's still great! So glad that the staff have remained the same, special shout out to Neil who is always so friendly and accommodating. I also got speaking with the new manager Lynn, briefly, when picking up our dog this time. She kindly saw I was juggling my newborn in the car with our dog in the boot and brought the card machine out to me to help me out. Thank you for that! Our dog Winston loves it there, and the staff seem to really care about him, which is what we want :) If they are working with suggestions - a kennel we used at our previous house would give the option to bathe the dogs before pick-up. Not a groom-style bath, just a wash and dry. After all the great walks & play time, maybe its a Service that could be added? Already booked for our next kennel stay, so see you soon.

Have used Windmill Kennels for 2 years now must say the new ownership under Robbie and Amy has been a breathe of fresh air. They have big plans and I throughly recommend them far more reasonable and the dogs are so looked after unfortunately I lost my 15 year old staff in July air he felt at home there and my other staffie has come home again looking happy and healthy . Booked in for a few more trips this year and I know he’s well looked after . Lyn is fantastic also thanks X

I have never used kennels for my dogs before but discovered Windmill Farm when I was let down by our dog sitter. The kennels are big so that Gloria and Snoop can keep each other company, and when I collected them recently the indoor part of their kennel was so much warmer than I had expected which was my main worry. Gloria can also be very temperamental at times but Lyn and the team were brilliant with her, and kept me updated during their stay. I will definitely be recommending Windmill Farm Kennels to my friends, for their pets in the future. Thanks to all the team. x

Rating: 4.4 (347) Price Level:

Brought my poorly dwarf hamster here and couldn't have asked for a better, more sympathetic, experience. The vet laid out possible treatment options for me but we also discussed euthanasia given the severity of her condition which is what was sadly decided. Seeing a sympathetic vet who I felt valued my hamster as a living being helped me make one of the hardest choices a pet owner ever has to make.

Recently, one of my dogs had to undergo his first ever surgery, and the level of love and care provided by everyone at the practice was truly exceptional. Their attentiveness to both my needs and my dog’s needs made a stressful situation much easier to handle. Following the surgery, he didn’t seem to realise anything had happened, which I believe is a testament to the quality of the surgery and post-operative care. I’ve been bringing my two dogs to Companion Care Croydon since 2017, after my previous practice closed, and I’m consistently impressed by their professionalism and compassion. Joining the Care Plan a couple of years ago was one of the best decisions I’ve made. The routine urine and blood tests have provided early warnings for potential issues – something I wouldn’t have thought to book and pay for separately. The inclusion of flea and worm treatments, along with some free consultations, makes the plan excellent value. The practice has also been incredibly supportive during urgent medical situations. Whenever I’ve had to bring one or both dogs in, they prioritise our needs and ensure that I’m fully informed of all treatment options. I’ve never felt rushed or pressured, even when making difficult decisions. In fact, there have been occasions where I’ve had to specifically request more expensive treatment options because this practice always strives to try and keep costs low while still providing the best and required care for their patients. When one of my dogs had a bad reaction to a new type of annual vaccine, I rushed him back to the practice without having any time to call in advance, and when I presented him at reception they rushed to get him seen and sorted within 10 minutes, which was truly amazing service. The reception staff are consistently welcoming, and the nurses and vets are kind, caring, and professional. Even when delivering less-than-ideal news over the phone, they handle it with the utmost courtesy and sensitivity, making it easier to process and plan for next steps. The free parking is a huge bonus, especially in Croydon, where parking can be a headache. The recent expansion of the reception area has also been a welcome improvement, adding to the overall positive experience. I’m genuinely happy with this practice and highly recommend them to anyone seeking compassionate and professional care for their pets.

I took my gorgeous little cat Taco in for dental surgery last week followed by a check-up a few days later. The service there is second to none. The reception area is clean and inviting (great revamp) and the receptionists are very friendly and welcoming. The exceptional vet Obi and fab nurse Katie carried out the procedure and took superb care of my baby as did the rest of the team out back post-surgery. I would highly recommend taking your pets here - they are treated as if they are one of their own. Thank you all at Croydon Companion Care for being so FAB-U-LOUS!
