Visited for the first time, and was surprised how nice the venue was, clean, modern, and the bar staff were excellent, friendly, with a superb humour, and wonderful hospitality. Came along with family to have a spot of lunch, there was a good variety of classics on the menu. Opted for the steak sandwich, and blue and hot fries. Food was tasty and served in a reasonable amount of time, and was fairly priced. There are cocktails available alongside the standard drinks options you’d expect of a bar, all nicely presented. The music was also on point playing some old favourites that wouldn’t offend anyone, instead making you wanna sing along. But fear not we refrained. Live sports are available to watch, and if you happen to be visiting and getting the train from West Norwood station, right adjacent to the pub, there is a live feed of train times displayed above the bar, so you’re unlikely to miss your next train! A clever touch! We had a really lovely time, thank you 😊
Food was delicious! Fantastic service. Would highly recommend. Daniel was great from start to finish. He is very efficient. Can clearly see everyone there are very hard working, making all customers feel comfortable from the welcome.
Slightly bias as work for company, but just had the best roast. Potatoes were great and large portion. My son said ‘mum, the wings have chicken on them!’ . Sadly quiet as Lambeth Country show on down the road so atmosphere just picking up . Very happy and full . Thanks guys
Popped in for a Sunday lunch. Had the salt and pepper squid for starters, pork belly roast and the chicken burger for mains and ended with the sticky toffee pudding. All of it was incredible. Food was really well prepared and tasty. Compliments to the chef! Service was also really good, and super fast too. Would highly recommend.
Excellent pub with a great Sunday toast! Staff are all very attentive and lovely especially Daniel!
