Visited this restaurant a few weeks ago as a big party of 15 for a family birthday meal. I would say the young lady that serviced us was amazing and we had a section to ourselves with a curtain which was very convenient. I've only marked down the food due to not having enough curry goat pie available on the day which was disappointing with such a large group but food and drinks all tasted beautiful.
We visited Maroon this afternoon after reading the reviews online and it certainly didn’t disappoint. We didn’t book ahead but the staff were lovely and managed to find a table for two despite it being busy. If you have a bigger group I would suggest booking a table in advance. My brother and I had the jerk chicken roast with a side of Cauliflower cheese. The fusion of flavours worked perfectly, the gravy was lovely and thick and the portion was big, one of the best roasts we’ve had out in a long time. Staff were so friendly and attentive. Overall 10/10 would definitely recommend!
Been wanting to come here for ages! My dad, son, dad’s friend and I came here on a Saturday evening and we all loved it and will definitely be back! From our greeting, to the ambience and most definitely the food and cocktails, this place has it in spades. The Caribbean and South American fusion really works. My dad (who is quite the restaurant critic!) was very impressed with the setting, decor and ambience. Our server was friendly, funny and very gracious and I’m sorry that I didn’t get her name! Our cocktails were really good (heavily scrutinised by my son who is a cocktail bartender!) and heavy on the rum! I will happily go back for two plates of the ackee empanadas! So so good. My dad, son and I had the jerk seabass which we all agreed was absolutely delicious and his friend had the yam & vegetable rundown and said it was the best thing he’d ever tasted! Every flavour popped! The chef and his/her team are excellent. The service was impeccable. We’ll be back!
My husband booked Maroon for my 60th birthday and what an amazing experience it was. Alima looked after us from the outset and was the sweetest, most attentive server while Keisha pulled out the stops to ensure I was able to enjoy my special day. The food was amazing, every course was on point and the portion sizes were impressive. Very happy diner indeed and we will definitely be back.
