Very chill and clean atmosphere 😎 £14.49 for two main meals (hunters chicken and pulled mushroom chilli) and £15.49 for the large mixed grill - very hearty, delicious and filling. Will definitely be visiting again to taste the rest of the menu! *UPDATE* - Have visited on a monthly basis and can definitely say the Mac and cheese is my go-to meal! 👌🏻

We went with a large group for a festive event. The food was lovely and served by an amazing group of staff. We watched the entertainer they had on . All our group enjoyed it and we're singing along . Some in our group had never been before and loved every minute

Wow! Just been took over and the new landlady and her team are off to a great start! Staff are super efficient and friendly too. The place is wonderful and so welcoming. Cosy corner, comfy settees and plenty of tables to dine at. A great experienced chef in the kitchen bringing out some great food with more to come when the kitchen opens fully very soon! Super dog friendly but areas to sit without dogs too. Loads planned by the sounds of it too from theme nights, food tasting, music etc. Great range of beers and wines to suit all tastes, cannot believe what has been done in just 1 week! Looks like we have found our new venue!

Spur of the moment, as we drove past, we thought we would pop in for some pub lunch. Inside was spacious, clean, and plenty of spaces to sit at. Despite the kitchen being refurbished and the venue having a limited menu, the food choice was decent. We went for the meat feast pizza and chicken strips with Mayo dip. (See pictures attached) The service was quick, and the food was great. Pizza wasn't greasy. Chicken strips were cooked just right. The price was reasonable. The only thing I could mark it down for is the atmosphere, but with it being quiet here if you like quiet, then here would be perfect for you. Would recommend visiting for a quick bite to eat if you were ever passing by.

Off the cuff call on way home from a weekend away. The kids needed some dinner. We can all honestly say was one of the best pub meals we have had in all our pub lunch experiences. Great to find an unspoken gem without intention. Definitely recommended and will be back

Went for the Christmas Day Dinner and it was great. Very friendly greeting and shown to our table straight away. Food was delicious and well presented. All staff were smart and courteous.

We booked this hotel as we were visiting a few local places and it seemed like a good location which it is. When we first checked in we were given a room for 2 adults when there were 3 of us so we were frantically looking around this small room for another bed. We went back to reception and got another room straight away with 2 single beds and a sofa bed, all had a comfortable night sleep, bathroom was wet room style which is handy, and breakfast was ok-good, maybe because we were slightly later for breakfast it had dried out the bacon and scrambled egg which made the meat hard. Great options for breakfast you won’t go hungry. Friendly staff, great steak night menu made much more pleasant but the man who served us (who has family in the south) Nice high views of surrounding town from our room. Domestic staff were great, keeping the room stocked up with tea bags and doing a great job keeping the place clean and tidy throughout our stay. Thank you for a great stay!

Nice food, decent sized menu, good drinks selection. Nicely presented interior and pleasant section of outside seating. Plenty of parking.

We ordered two J2O's, a lime and soda, and an order of pork scratching and sat out on the patio. It was absolutely perfect. A nice view with quite surroundings and an occasional car.

Staying at the hotel and the Jacobean can only be described as superb, great service, amazing food and good pricing. Don’t change a thing.

Fun pub attached to the Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel with pretty good food and quality for the price you pay. The atmosphere is good. The staff is alright, but a little busy on the day we were here (I guess because of a bigger party connected to an event in one of their convention rooms?). All in all definitely a good stop on the road

Farmer Copleys are Halloween ready and impressive as ever. Decorations are fantastic and staff get into the spirit of things by dressing up and greeting customers with a friendly smile and great service! Food is lovely, we just had sausage sandwiches to start the day but there is an extensive menu to choose from. A bit pricey but good value for the exceptional quality and generous portions. We have visited many times and it never disappoints. As well as the main restaurant, there is a new dessert cafe that we have yet to try and a fantastic shop to browse around. Their famous pumpkin festival is now on (tickets from £6) so a great time to visit.

Came on Saturday for the pumpkin festival. It was our first time and we had a lovely afternoon! My daughter enjoyed the rides, especially the Ferris wheel which gave us a beautiful view of the whole area. Lovely stalls and shows too.

I visit pumpkin festival today and it was amazing! The festival was worth to be visit, had many activities and decorative photo stops. With 8£ ticket is reasonable because we also spend some money for food and drink, pumpkin and activities. The farm is huge. I have known they having sunflower and fruit picking as well. The cafe, restaurant and shop is the best place for me, cause they have been decored amazing every corner. Staffs were friendly and good service. I impressed with their ice cream... look mouth-watering 😝 Shop is pricey but still makes pp want to buy items. That is their success. Highly recommend.

Lovely place, staff is lovely, lots of food options, beautiful decor everywhere, so many options in cafe too, ice cream is gorgeous too! There's always bits and bobs on, too, which is always great. Animals are so cute. however it's very expensive, so be prepared for that but at least you know you're getting good quality! I will definitely be back for a hot chocolate!

Being gluten free means it can be difficult finding places to eat when you're away from home. Did a quick search online and found this pub 5 mins away (by car) from our hotel. I ordered a Bacon cheeseburger (don't often eat burgers but I thought, why not?) but it came out without the bacon 😕 also had baked potato which was supposed to come with coleslaw but that was missing too so had to ask for butter so I wasn't just eating dry potato. I hope whoever got my bacon and coleslaw enjoyed them! We ordered a glass of coke, no ice (came with a lot of ice) and a gin and tonic, no ice, no slice (ended up with pink gin 🤢 and lemonade with lots of ice) So we looked for the angriest looking bar worker to order our next drinks with and result! Got what we ordered! We had desserts, which the lovely tall redheaded lady who works there was kind enough to bring me the ingredients on the actual products to check if I could eat them, she was the best thing about our experience here! I had the gf cheesecake, which I had to ask for the ice-cream that is supposed to come with it and my OH had some large thing that was missing cookie pieces 🤷‍♀️ The meal itself (apart from missing components) was actually really good. I didn't like the "Unisex" toilet in the dining area, I feel that it would have been better used as disabled/changing area. The toilet seat doesn't fit right and I had to wipe the porcelain before using the loo 🤢 also, water pressure seems to be an issue as the tap was ineffectual. All in all, not a brilliant experience but with a few tweaks, this place could be really good! On a final note, I didn't get her name but the lady with red hair who was working on 14/12/24 and had the awkward customer with the gluten/coconut issues, Thank you so much, if it wasn't for you, I'd have ended up with no dinner that night and you are the reason for 4 stars, it would have been 3 if it wasn't for you xx

All the staff at Lord Gascoigne did a great job of catering for our large party of 16. Food was usual hungry horse fayre which means you know what you are getting and prices are reasonable. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Dog friendly too.

Perfect reasonably quiet Monday night meal. Staff were super great. Suoer helpful. Food came out in timely manner. Hot and tasty as expected. Great parking facilities and easy to find. I would recommend.

Really glad that the new management has got rid of all the idiots and there is a normal DJ playing good old pop music. I was in with my mates and recently have been quite hesitant to return after all the trouble last year but the young chat behind the bar was fab and very friendly didn't get your name but nice one. Cheryl help me out with a last minute carvery 1 min before closing After 10 hours on the road today it was the perfect remedy along with a very well poured point of Guinness. I’ve never been to this part of the world before it’s true what they say about the hospitality and great service from the folks in the area.10/10

Absolutely brilliant. Wasn’t sure what to expect when we walked in. Received a warm welcome and then nice drinks, followed by amazing food. The highlight of my night was the perfect portion of ketchup I received (see picture). Will definitely be visiting again soon. Great experience. P.S. I did actually use all the ketchup too.

Absolutely fantastic experience at The Prince William Pub in Castleford! The food was delicious – perfectly cooked, flavorful, and served promptly. The highlight of our visit, though, was the exceptional service. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Prince William Pub was a top choice. Highly recommended!

We met up with family members for a get together. The food was beautiful and the staff were lovely. We will definitely be back. The only thing I would coment on is there needs to be curtains or blinds, as the sun was out today and we were getting blinded while we were trying to eat. But everything else was lovely. We did book as there was 13 if us and they put tables together, so it was nice. Lovely staff.

A great looking pub we stumbled upon after a day out. All of the staff were excellent, very welcoming and friendly. All the food was very well presented, and very enjoyable, very reasonable prices too. Top stuff!

The staff are friendly and accommodating. My daughter & arrived when there was a very large party happening with music playing till midnight. We were offered a bungalow instead of a room in the main building. This was very much appreciated as the music was loud. The room was clean and spacious, there was plenty of free parking and a great breakfast.
