Friendly and helpful service. We enjoyed our meal! Beware ordering too much as quantities generous! Not much in terms of sweets, some rasmalai kulfi or gulab jamon would have been good. Nice mango lassi and relishes. A selection of ice creams available (the coconut one was nice). BYOB which is great! Highly recommended! Returned today for another lovely meal!

This small, family run restaurant is definitely worth making a detour for. The food is excellent and the service is outstanding. If you want to tailor your meal, just ask. Everything on the menu is superb. Five stars are not enough.

Absolutely fantastic sandwiches, the Italian and the tuna crunch are amazing. ( even if you’re a vegetarian) you can’t leave this world without trying it. ( true story )

Great place yo pick up a sandwich. We have called in a few times, and the sandwiches are made to order,using really fresh ingredients and have always been really good with enough filling. The sausage rolls are excellent and really great value for money. The people running it are really friendly and helpful, so all in all, it's a lovely local sandwich sop and deli.

Excellent food and service. I like how the Victorian charm of the building and its old timey feel contrast but somehow complememt the innovative menu! Each sandwich on the menu has been thoughtfully put together, and every order is made fresh with care. 10/10 would recommend.

Hearty sandwiches and superb brownies. Samosas and sausage rolls are amazing too. They do a good value salad box. Recent addition of an ice cream machine which will come into it's own this summer. My 6 year old rates this as excellent. Coffee is ok. Sells all sorts of sweets, crisps and various ready meal things. Really friendly family team behind the counter. I'm looking forward to when they start doing hot sarnies again.

My meal was flipping marvellous. Owner, when you read this can you comment on where you got your chairs from as they were usually comfy and I'd like some for my kitchen. Antipasti platter to share, so a selection of meats, olives and breads. Fabulous, what is not to like. Could have eaten that on my own it was so delicious. Carbonara. Yes I know it is very 90s, bit I happen to like it and it was cooked UK style to perfection. Home made tiramasu. Perfect. I don't give many eateries 5 star and this hit that balance between excellent service, a reasonable price FOR the quality of food. It is not cheap but it is proportionate for the quality of the food. This is my 3rd visit and won't be my last. Parking available nearby. Wheelchair accessible. All diets catered for. Ps I have just hit 8.8 million views. Very pleased with myself.

Beautiful little Italian restaurant in Ilkley. Great wine list, and we enjoyed glasses of the Italian Soave. Staff were friendly, and there was a lot of delicious dishes to choose from on the menu! We opted for the calamari and zucchini fritti and the mussels starter, followed by steak, and a seafood pasta. Seafood was good in quantity and size, fresh and flavoursome. The 2- or 3-course set menu is very good value.

Went with some friends and we all had a fantastic time! The food was amazing and ws couldn't have asked for a better service! I highly recommend going!

A small friedly local pub with a good srlectoon of hand pulled beers. There is no food and no credit card facility, it is cash only at the bar. Dogs and children are welcome. It is particularly good in winter. when the log fire makes the pub warm.

Had Sunday lunch at the PB with friends. I had the beef, which was good, but husband had the pork, which was excellent. It came with REAL crackling, (not the stuff that's a bit of extra skin cooked separately). Washed down with a point of Black Sheep Bitter. Good service and a good atmosphere.

A gorgeous overnight stay and meal. We recent stayed in the Large room at the Penny Bun and had a wonderful time. The whole place has been decorated beautifully with lots of lovely small details (such as herbal teas for the room and bath salts for the huge free standing bath) that make the stay even more enjoyable. The food was also great, we opted for the fish pie and steak for our mains with a delicious bottle of white wine. Will definitely be back again.

Lovely Sunday lunch in a fabulous location. Very stylish surroundings. Warm and engaging staff, friendly welcome from the barman. Roast pork and roast beef cooked to perfection followed by sticky toffee pudding and lemon curd parfait. Delicious. Special mention to Jade who looked after us so well. Our first visit and we will be back.

We had an exceptional dining experience and stay at the Penny Bun. Both of our meals were absolutely incredible—beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly prepared with the highest attention to detail. Compliments to the chef for an unforgettable meal! The staff were fantastic from start to finish, making us feel genuinely welcome and ensuring that every aspect of our evening was perfect. Their attentiveness, warmth, and professionalism truly set the experience apart. We’re already looking forward to our next stay in the new year and can’t wait to return for another wonderful meal. We went for Sunday lunch 3of us 2 adults and our son (11) we had the beef, pork belly & pizza. All delicious. The beef I had was cooked to perfection. We couldn’t fault anything. A warm welcome from all the staff. We will be definitely coming back.

We were driving past and noticed it was a Free House so decided to stop for a quick bite to eat. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We chose a light lunch - husband had a mushroom and tarragon soup and I had potato and leek soup. Both delicious and served with sourdough bread. The menu and the food that was being served looked very good. If we had not already booked a table elsewhere that evening we would have gone back for dinner. Also a good selection of ales. Upper terrace has stunning views.

Our server Georgina was very attentive and looked after our big party very well. Great atmosphere, lovely food, cosy pub and great staff.

As first-time visitors to The Hermit Inn, we were impressed by the ambience, standard of service and the quality of the food. It's obviously a very popular spot, based on the number of customers when we visited on a Saturday lunchtime. The pub is on the route of a number of popular walks, and arriving by foot to such a welcoming pub is pleasant indeed. If you're planning to eat, booking a table is recommended; the booking slots are a generous two hours. The staff dealt with the steady flow of customers professionally, and with a friendly and welcoming demeanour. The menu has a good selection of dishes. Our food arrived quickly, a credit to the staff in what looked like a tiny kitchen. The food was tasty, and well-received by all our group. Would definitely visit again.

Anniversary weekend, so we thought we would try Ilkley Cow as we both love our food and the ratings looked good and reviews to match it. For starters we ordered the Teriyaki Pork Belly Skewers & Shell on Argentinian Tiger Prawns. The Skewers were delicious, Tiger Prawns taste was nothing amazing but still set a good starting point before mains. Mini Steak Sampler & Glazed Pork Belly for mains. Pork Belly was like butter, melt in your mouth gooeyness with the the crackling on top to finish the layers. The Steak Sampler was good, too much salt flakes covering the plate which for me was a little overpowering on the steak but it’s personal preference as my partner liked it. FYI I thought the chunky chips would be a crispy beast of a chip but sadly not, still tasty just let down when seeing previous images so use that as a reference for the future. Unfortunately we had a slide issue with one of our dishes but after speaking with our waiter who was sincere and apologetic we continued on with our meal with no problems and full bellies. This place has been on my visit list for a while and we were not disappointed! Came as a family for a celebration meal at 5pm on a Friday and the place was lovely and quiet, we had one whole side of the restaurant to ourselves more or less the whole time ! We had the sharing platter for starters, everything on it was absolutely delicious, in particular the scotch eggs!! Me and my partner shared the special tomahawk steak for 2 which was to die for with the chimichurri sauce on!!! All the sides were gorgeous too and my little boy loved his kids steak! Highly recommend and would definitely love to return to try more of the menu!! Would like to say our waiter was absolutely lovely too !!!! Thanks 😊

The first time I visited was good. I visited for a second time yesterday with my partner and we had an amazing meal. Chicken wings and pork belly for starters - the sauces were great and the pork belly was particularly delicious. We had the sirloin steak which was cooked beautifully. I got fries but my partner's chunky chips were even better. We had crème brûlée for dessert - also great. I had cocktails, which were well made and there was a good selection. The Old Fashioned was particularly good. The staff were pleasant and welcoming, they cleared our plates and took our orders quickly, and were very attentive. Thank you for a wonderful evening - we will return!

Lovely little tap bar. 3 draft and one cask beers plus a great range of Saltaire beers in bottles. Nicely chilled and every one a winner. Super little community business.

Got to be the nicest Chicken and Spinach Karahi I've ever tasted. This place was recommended and they weren't wrong. The portion sizes are very generous, staff are friendly and quick to ask if you need anything. We were working near and even had a second visit it was that good. Masala fish was nice and the prawn Puri. Would definitely recommend.

Westbourne is our absolute favourite. Always great food and service. Babar is one of our regular waiters and he is so polite and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant!

The fish and chips from Burley Fisheries are some of the best I have ever had. Even better than most of the fish and chips I’ve had at the coast. The staff are friendly and polite.
