Great ambiance, personable and efficient service, excellent beer on tap, and delicious food. I had the seared monkfish tail (with curried lentil puree and crispy cabbage bits) and it was one of the best things I’ve eaten in Leeds. Highly recommended.

This is a wonderful organic restaurant in the centre of Leeds. Great for a full meal or an after work drink. It has a frequently changing menu using the best seasonal organic produce, with something for everyone. The drinks selection is comprehensive, with lots of natural wines and beers to choose from, and plenty of alcohol-free drinks too. The staff are great and always helpful. Highly, highly recommend!

Really really delish food. Pricey but worth it. I wasn’t a fan of the wine but that’s likely a personal taste. The cauliflower and potatoes were incredible but the show stopped was the leek mayo

Unpretentious interior decor and service but the menu is on the higher end of dinners out. As soon as you walk in, you can smell the smoke from their open kitchen which adds to the fact they’re known for their wood fire cooking. Service was good overall, our server explained the specials in detail, answered my questions about the menu well. For starters, we got the oysters (specials), beef tartare and sourdough with chicken fat as starters (all stunning, my firm favourite was the beef tartare). For mains, I ended up with the guinea fowl with sweetcorn puree and it was absolutely divine. It did not taste gamey at all. My husband got the sirloin on the specials menu which was good, he just regret not asking for medium instead of “chef’s choice” (ended up being more medium rare but this is a personal choice). Glad we came here instead of Flat Iron as it was suited to the occasion (husband’s birthday meal).

Fabulous meal, the chicken with chicken hash brown was mind blowing. The sauce it came in had me like the astronaut in the spacetime corridor at the end of 2001 A Space Odyssey. The rump steak also great. The staff were so friendly and fun. Great value too!

Visited here tonight (06/09/24) with partner, son and daughter in law. The food was absolutely delicious. Very authentic tasting. Along with a great friendly atmosphere. The service was fantastic , We recently returned from a trip to marakech in Morocco so thought we'd try a Moroccan restaurant We weren't disappointed. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. All 4 of us will definitely be returning here. Can't wait !!!

Visited at the weekend, one of my party has dairy and gluten allergies. The owner was lovely and ensured that everything cooked for my friend was allergen free. The food all round was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant and will visit again.

Lovely experience. Unique styling with a sustainable feel. Food was simple and delicious. Smoothie absolutely delicious. Quiet when we first arrived but got busier and had a nice atmosphere. Tucked away on a quiet street but so worth a visit

Stopped in here on a sunny Saturday and the atmosphere was nice and chill with the full length window open. Staff are super friendly and really helpful. We ordered the samosas but as we got there close to closing, we were told the last ones left were not perfect and offered us them smashed and mixed with the sauces and veg as a chaat, it was amazing! The eggs and salmon tasted super fresh and the daal was delicious. Loved the fact that on the menu needs I told you about all the ingredients came from. And of course we could not leave out the amazing chocolate flapjack 🤤🤤 and great drinks. Will certainly be returning and recommending.

Delicious afternoon tea today. Opted for the Indian infused one with bottomless Prosecco. Excellent value. Delicious food, fab service and a lovely setting. We will be back.

There’s a reason this place is my favourite Italian! The ambience and food are just incredible. Everything is so tasty, particularly the Arancini to start and the beef ragu parpardelle. I would also highly recommend the Italian afternoon tea as I’ve had this twice and it beats any English one hands down.

Livin well in Livin Italy Livin Italy has been on my radar for ages, but somehow, I always ended up at San Carlo or somewhere on the Headrow instead. Well, not anymore. Now that I’ve been, I can safely say I’ve been missing out—and I’ll definitely be back. From the moment you walk through the door, it’s clear that the customer journey was front and center in the design process. As you make your way to your table, you’re greeted by the sights of a bustling deli, the sounds of a lively kitchen, and the smells that leave you wondering why you didn’t come sooner. It’s an entrance that sets the scene for what’s to come. We were seated in a charming, cosy nook, where our waiter, Andrea, absolutely stole the show. A fountain of knowledge and charm, he guided us through the menu, sharing recommendations and explaining Livin Italy’s ethos: “Start with the best ingredients, give them to the best chefs, serve the best food. It’s that simple!” His enthusiasm was contagious—and his suggestions were spot on. Now, let’s talk about the food. Simply put, it’s exceptional. No watered-down flavors here—just bold, authentic Italian dishes that sing on the plate. The Crab Meat Pici and Porchetta Crostone were beautifully balanced and exciting, but the Carbonara? A total showstopper. Every bite was a testament to the quality and care that goes into each dish. Livin Italy has officially won us over. It’s not just a restaurant; it’s an experience—warm people, stunning food, and a little slice of Italy tucked away in Leeds. Or as the Italians might say: La vita è troppo breve per mangiare male! Livin Italy is the perfect Italian restaurant. To start with the atmosphere is perfect. Low lighting and the occasional train passing above you really adds to the experience. To start, the carbonara arranchini was so peppery and creamy. The ciabatta bun with marscapone and fried veggies was the perfect starter. Main courses of the short rib parpadelle, which was so rich and melt in your mouth, alongside the tender lamb chops paired perfectly with the potato terrine, capers, and olives were the real stars of the show. The gin collins was the perfect refresher against the richness of the food. Would definitely recommend checking it out!

My wife and I had lunch and what a lovely meal it was. As it is a French restaurant I had Fish soup and it didn't disappoint. I have not had Fish soup for a long time and it brought all the memories back from going to France on holiday. I had Calves liver for my main course and it was beautiful. The price was good and reasonable. Would I recommend and return, I definitely would. If you like my honest reviews please follow me as I review on a regular basis.

This has been an amazing dinner tonight. The menu of the day was an incredible value and for excellent food. My prawn tempura and steak were perfectly presented and both cooked as requested. The dark chocolate fondant was so delicious. My husband had the chicken liver parfait and then Yorkshire pork. Both were just as good as mine. We did dinner with wine which were very good for the price and were nice addition. Cushla and John as well as all staff were professional and wonderful servers. As many new places come and go this restaurant has been around a long time and my only regret is not coming g in sooner. I will certainly be back!

Amazing good with such outstanding flavours. Creative presentation. Very professional way pf managing a very busy restaurant without fuss or delay but with complete calm. We were pressured unto buying an additional rice as the waitress thought we needed it and didn't listen to us but we didn't let it spoil the Amazing meal. We will definitely return next time we are in Leeds and would recommend this experience to anyone who loves good food

What a gem of a place. We’ve been visiting Tharavadu for a number of years now. It’s been a while since our last visit due to circumstance but we managed to get there on Saturday afternoon with some friends for a long overdue catch up. My word, we were NOT disappointed! The menu since COVID has been reduced but that is certainly not a bad thing. I feel the team have concentrated on their core dishes and have made the menu so ‘understandable’. Better descriptions of food therefore making it easier to select the right dish and accompaniment . The food was absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to go back. i can wholly recommend the king prawns to start and the fish stew as a main, just superb. As always the service was excellent. My wife and I had the most wonderful experience at Tattu, between waiting for trains. We were served by Amber, who was attentive, diligent, warm and courteous. Any establishment is lucky to have her. She recommended the perfect amount of dishes and pairings for us both and guided us through the menu. As halal diners, the menu provides plenty of appropriate options - a stand out dish has to be the mushroom spring rolls. A must go for Leeds foodies.

The drinks are very expensive. The food was absolutely amazing & definitely worth it with 40% off. We had the £90 per head set menu & in all honesty there was too much food. Our dessert was changed as they’d run out of sticky toffee which is a bit disappointing given we dined at 5pm. Also we were given the same cutlery for each wave, which personally I’d have preferred new. Our waiter was great, explaining everything & was really knowledgable & friendly. Would definitely return while they have offers on or for a special occasion but probably not affordable for a general visit

Had an absolutely incredible dining experience at Vice and Virtue last night with the kids. Chef Jono is, without a doubt, the best chef in Leeds—his creativity and attention to detail shine through in every dish. The food was nothing short of phenomenal, and the drinks pairings, including the bespoke non-alcoholic option made just for me, were out of this world. The service was impeccable—attentive, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The whole experience was elevated by the amazing atmosphere, making it the perfect place for a special night out. We had to miss a previous booking, and to my surprise, Chef Jono went out of his way to prepare some of his legendary Rhaman Broth for me to take home to my wife—a true testament to the hospitality and passion at Vice and Virtue. If you're looking for exceptional food, a warm and inviting atmosphere, and first-class service, this is the place to go. Absolutely five stars—highly recommended!

Stunning experience, adapted food as much as they could for wife’s garlic intolerance. Only thing missing was able to have a jus with the Sunday dinner as that meant her Yorkshire pudding was dry. But flavour combinations, combined with high quality cooking blew our minds. The service was high class and is how hospitality should be done, just brilliant from everyone making us feel so welcome. I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Bison Leeds. The service was impeccable the staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. The highlight, of course, was the steaks. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, they were some of the best I’ve ever had.
