Delicious food, very tasty and freshly made. Pork was tender with crispy crackling, bao buns light and fluffy and dutty fries super tasty. Felt full after but not greasy and stodgy like after most takeaways. Brilliant quality and excellent addition to the village!

Amazing little gem of a spot to eat. Food is amazingly tasty and full of flavour. Great portion sizes and the staff so friendly and warming. Bao bros I will be back.

Gluten Free options are few and far between for take away in Kirkburton. This place is perfect for it. So much of the menu can be made GF. The food is outstanding, nearly been through the whole menu now of various visits and it's been amazing. Fully recommended!

We've ordered this incredible food every time the truck has been local to us in Denby Dale, so were really thrilled to hear that they were opening a perm takeaway in Kirkburton (we know they have restaurants in other locations, but none as close to us). In the 3 weeks they have been open we have been 3 times already! The sauces are off the charts, bao fluffy and the loaded fries are incredible. Very generous servings and lovely staff. I could not recommend them more - go try them out!

Visited several time after since the takeover by new people. Consistently brilliant food, amazing service and very reasonable price. Definitely recommend others to come and try, I am sure you won’t be disappointed. If you a curry lover, this place is a must try. Surely come back many more time.

We took our little niece for a Friday, early night tea as a treat. It was the first time in the place and won’t be the last. The staff were really lovely and seemed to be authentic in wanting to know how the food was, or if we needed anything else. I’ve been to places where serving customers looked like a chore for the staff; it’s certainly not the case at this restaurant. We loved the open kitchen and the chef came out to check on everything too. Nice touch. We had the platter starter which was really delicious. Our curries were gorgeous also. There was plenty of food and for a good price. I’d heartily recommend. Thank you all for your hard work.

Millennium Dine is one of those rare gems I keep coming back to. The ambiance is absolutely captivating, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you step in. The service is exceptional, especially when dining with young children—attentive and friendly throughout our visit. The restaurant is spotless, and I was especially impressed by the cleanliness of the restrooms. As for the food, it truly exceeded my expectations. The flavors are perfectly balanced with a great mix of spices, and the portions are generous. I wholeheartedly wish Millennium Dine continued success and look forward to many more visits.

It was fantastic experience. The Millennium Platter was outstanding—an incredible mix of flavors and dishes that were both fresh and expertly prepared. The Curry Keema Buna was a standout, with a distinct Bangladeshi flavor that made it especially memorable. The rich, spiced minced meat was delicious and authentic. Went to The Barn for the first time tonight with a group of friends. We were so impressed. Lovely quirky little restaurant with a great atmosphere. Ben and the team are so lovely and welcoming and the service was spot on. The food was absolutely gorgeous. I had prawns to start - sublime. Then steak - perfection with a sauce that was so moorish I could have eaten a whole bowl of it on its own. To finish- churros- served hot and crisp with a dusting of sugar and cinnamon and a warm dipping chocolate - just divine. The rest of our party had goats cheese salads and chicken taco starters, followed by either steaks or sea bass. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We will definitely be going back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stumbled across this pub while walking around Kirkburton. What a little gem, friendly staff, very welcoming pub, with a great selection of beers. Also dog friendly if you have your furry friend with you

Sunday 1st September 2024 Today, I visited this beautiful old-fashioned rural pub near Kirkburton. This old tqlashioned coaching house today was well staffed and had a good local following. There was an ample range of real ales on, and we had a fantastic pint of Abbeydale moonshine, which was,,spot on,, I would gladly come here again if out this way

Visited a friend yesterday with my sister and his Mum. We were treated to a lovely Sunday lunch. Really good food and the chef should win a prize for roast potatoes! Great freshly cooked food and a lovely pub with good service. Thank you to all the staff for making such an effort for my sister, who is a coeliac. Much appreciated 👏

Really good pub lots going on nice atmosphere lots of corners to sit in and have a nice drink. Just a shame they called last orders so early

We had our dinner there the food is great the fish butty was delicious and they did a pear cheese and potato soup and the other dishes that other people had looked very nice. And there is a Christmas market on until the end of December. If you go for a meal it’s best to book as it’s very popular.

Great Food and a Lovely Market. I visited here on a cloudy Sunday afternoon for brunch at Hide & Hoof and found The Barn Market was open too. The Barn has a nice selection of local Yorkshire independent stores selling unique goods like stylish prints with Yorkshire slang and hand made jewellery. At Hide & Hoof Farm Restaurant, it was very busy on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant has a large capacity with both ground floor and upstairs eating areas but despite this it was very busy for Sunday lunch. I’d recommend booking a table ahead of schedule if possible. I had a group of 7 and was seated upstairs. The restaurant atmosphere is lovely as was the interior decor of the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and served me and my friends promptly after we decided what we wanted to eat. I ordered the 3 stack of American Pancakes with crispy chicken, chargrilled back bacon & maple syrup which costs £10.95 and I also ordered a Pot ‘a’ Tots (hash brown bites) from the special menu which costs £3.95. The food arrived within 40 minutes on a very busy Sunday. The crispy chicken was cooked beautifully and was paired well with the bacon and syrup, the tots were lovely, fried and cooked to perfection! Worth the wait. After brunch, I ordered ice-cream from The Udder Room. Downstairs in the restaurant the ice-cream counter was very busy and I was asked to visit the outdoor store instead. There is a nice selection of ice-cream available (see my photos). I ordered the double scoop of Biscoff & Raspberry Ripple in a cone which costs £4. The ice-cream wasn’t particularly special but topped off the lovely brunch. Overall, I had a lovely afternoon at Hide & Hoof Farm Restaurant. The service was good and the food was great. I would like to visit again and try different food at the restaurant. I think next time I would also give the ice-cream a miss.

First moved to Kirkburton over a couple of years ago...due to health reasons could not venture out for a year or so. Found the Junk...everyone down to earth...made great friends..loyal and honourable people...log fires...great beer...plus sport on tv which is great. Dog friendly ...they love our Bonnie...if your passing please visit you won't be disappointed... Then go and visit the Secret Garden...same owners and staff...Brilliant ...was a Mancunian...now a apprentice Yorkie man...

Incredibly kind and friendly staff here, me and friend came here at the end of a long walk and they really didn't have to serve us as they were closing. Not only did they serve us, but at a very reasonable price. Superb people that run it - recommended.

We have not been in for a long time, so called in Sunday around 5 it was very loud with sport on TV and young footballers enjoying themselves, the young lads having a good time but we couldn't hear ourselves talk. It is now very much a pub for younger ones that enjoy watching football and drinking. They have removed John smiths and Guinness to cater for their younger clientèle which is a shame if the older generation want to call for a pint. It was buisy, loud and unfortunately no longer for us. We won't be returning anytime soon on our Sunday trips out.

This place is a fantastic country pub with rooms set in the countryside of the peak district. It has all the characteristics you could want. The staff were fantastic and couldn't help enough, I will definitely come back here. Log fire, great accommodation, and really good food and drink.

Food very good, and service was also great. Amazing location and scenery. Rooms could do with an update as getting g a tad tired. Also our ground floor room had no security windows, which was poor as meant we had to sleep with the windows closed all night.

Stayed over for a new year's eve wedding and it was a lovely venue, everywhere is clean and looks beautiful. Our hotel room was comfy and spacious, comfy beds and fluffy pillows. All the staff were great even though it was new year, even new years day they all had a smile on their face. Food both during the wedding and breakfast the next day was delicious and plentiful. Would have been better if the weather was nicer, especially as the toilets for the wedding part are outside, but the venue did provide some umbrellas and the marquee was very warm. Only criticism I could have is there was a few young children at the wedding but no fruit shoots or similar behind the bar so it was blackcurrant cordial in fancy glasses- we were very lucky there was no major spills or breakages! It also seemed that any time we went to the bar for cokes etc the glass sizes and prices were always different, not a major issue but was a little odd.

What an absolutely stunning venue which we had the pleasure of having for our wedding! From the first time we walked through the doors at a wedding fair to walking out as husband and wife the day after our wedding we were absolutely blown away by not only the beautiful setting but also the staff who really make the Woodman the perfect place to say I do. Nothing was too much trouble with all our guests saying we’d found a diamond and that they would definite be revisiting for weekends away. You made our dream day become reality, taking our ideas and rolling with them while adding in your expertise along the way. Always an amazing experience to dine in/ takeout at Harvey’s. Food is consistently amazing quality and fresh. The restaurant itself is nice to dine in both inside and out and is very clean. Will always choose to come back, my favourite place to dine in Huddersfield. Only slight negative would be that parking is limited making it harder for assess especially if you are blue badge owner.

Arranged to meet a work colleague , I stay in the Las Vegas of the North , Blackpool and she travelled up from Digby. I’d looked on line for somewhere half way and found this little gem . The reviews prior to our visit were really good and looking at the menu we decided to get it booked and meet up. No dramas booking on line. Arrived in plenty of time and the staff got us menus with lunch specials and the mains and drinks whilst we looked through the menus . It took us an age to decide as there was that much choice and people were ordering around us and we were getting food envy , everyone the staff bought something else out from the kitchen. We eventually went for dough balls and chicken Goujons starters. We shared as they were to good to keep to ourselves . For the mains we both had the hanging chicken kebabs, one chilli and one garlic . You could select what fries you wanted with it and came with pitta and sauces. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better , we checked out the desserts and even tho there was plenty of selection , we both went for biscof cheescake , which I can only say was , life changing . Top surroundings , unreal food and staff on point . GET YOURSELF TO HARVEYS

I recently had lunch at Harvey's Bar & Restaurant and it was fantastic. The weather was gorgeous, so we sat outside, enjoying the pleasant atmosphere. The staff were attentive and friendly, making us feel very welcome. The food was delicious with plenty of options, and the drink selection was impressive. Overall, a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommended!

Held my baby shower at The Secret Garden and it was wonderful. Jodie and the team went above and beyond with the food, decor and drinks. A gorgeous venue perfect for a couple of wines and a charcuterie board or a special occasion!

This is an amazing place! The atmosphere is fantastic, the live music is brilliant and the actual garden is beautiful. The staff and owners are so friendly and accommodating. You couldn't have anywhere better. Treat yourself to a sharing board and you won't be disappointed but you will definitely be full! Well done to Jodie and the team.x

I haven’t found a more friendly bar in a long time. First time tonight, and we were made so welcome! It won’t be our last visit! There is a wonderful outdoor area with heaters and such a lovely vibe. I can’t wait to try the charcuterie specials and come back for cocktails!

Just popped in to have a Sunday Lunch at the Foxglove in Huddersfield. First time we’ve visited. Was lovely in side, real fire burning on a snowy day. I had a beef and partner had the pork. Both was lovely, with right amount of vegetables and Yorkshire pudding, but the Pork was the best I’ve ever tasted, anywhere. Will go back just for that. everyone was really friendly and helpful, from the manager and especially Grace. Will definitely visit again..

Six of us there last night for our grandson's 8th birthday and served by Grace. She was fabulous. Polite, friendly, helpful, courteous and professional. We all said, that was the best service in a restaurant we had received in years. And the food was great too.

its always a pleasant atmosphere when we visit but this was our 1st time in the evening and it was just lovely . the staff are excellent ,making sure the fire was burning , taking orders when they noticed we had finished drinks . after finishing our meal we asked for the tab to be moved from our dining table to the sofa area and they were very accommodating. will be calling again :)

Staff were very warm and friendly. Room was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. We had a family room and both beds were exceptional. We are on the pub and food here was also lovely. Breakfast was pricey but it was delicious.
