Perfection from start to finish. We dined there last night and the experience was exceptional. Service headed up by James was exacting, warm and courteous - without being overly familiar or intrusive - not a skill set that’s easy to master. The food was bold, daring and delicate - and perfectly executed. A real cut above - 10/10

Cocktails and food are average, but it's expensive. Not really worth it.

Good place

Went for the early bird, lots of options to cater for everyone vegetarian/halal/meat eaters. Service was good, food took a while to come out but was worth the wait. Tried the mixed starter was an extra £3 but you get a little bit of everything. Portion sizes were good ,we were absolutely stuffed.

I found the food ok. The portion sizes were very small. Service was good but I thought the food and drinks were quite pricey.

This is one of my favourite places to eat around the area I currently live. The food is always fresh and delicious while the service is outstanding. I'm going to leave our favourite dishes below. Starter: - no. 12 (Gung Chut Beng Tort - deep fried prawns) rated 10/10 by my wife. - no. 6 (Sea-Krong Moo - slow baked spare ribs in a sweet and sour sauce) rated 9/10 by my dad. I'm sure it was a 10/10 but some elders don't believe in perfection. 👀🤣 Mains: - no. 30 (Pad Gra-pao - spicy stir fry) 9.5/10 Other dishes we had in the past and loved: No. 10 (Geaw Tort) No. 15 main (Tom Yam) No. 26 (Geng Pbaa "Jungle Curry") No. 34 (Pad Pet Nor Mai) No. 44 (Geng Pet Ped Yang) No. 64 (Pad Pak Pasom) If you can't handle spicy food, ignore ny favourites and only take into account the food quality and the service.

Excellent service and very delicious food.. we saved some ££ on early bird menu . Loads of options for vegetarian and vegans. Good ambience and top class service . We even got a special sweet treat to celebrate our day..thank you ,we shall visit again .

What an amazing place. The staff were very helpful, friendly and responsive. The food was delicious, well presented and came in very generous portions.The roast beef I had was lovely and tender. Good choice of drinks, next time I might try a cocktail as they sound great. I can tell they really care about cleanliness too.

We had a family meal last night ( Saturday 21st Dec) and just had to write this review. It was absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious and it all came out perfect. The service was incredible, all the staff were so friendly and very attentive. A credit to them all… The owner ( Steve I think) was such a lovely man within the hospitality sector. We will all be definitely coming back to this beautiful restaurant in the near future. Highly recommended..

We have visited this restaurant more than any other since they opened in 2019 and the standards have always been high (in fact I think they get better!). The food is modern British cuisine using locally sourced seasonal ingredients and the flavours on offer are bold and delicious. The Sunday Lunch menu is a real highlight with 3 courses for £30 featuring a selection of Roast Dinners that are hard to beat. The Brunch menu is really varied with your traditional Full English, Eggs Benedicts, Avo on Toast as well as some new additions like Savoury Crepes and Pancake Stacks for the sweet tooths- you can also go bottomless with some refreshing Mimosas and Bellinis. The standard A La Carte has some fantastic options too- a decent list of small plates if you fancy tapas style as well as some gorgeous main course dishes to suit every palate. The signature Steak and Ale Pie is not to be missed and has been consistently good since day one! As we approach summer do not skip their stunning secret garden which on a sunny day makes you forget you are in Huddersfield- our favourite place to relax with great food and drinks. Talking of drinks, the wine list is extensive and they have picked some truly fabulous wines to pair with the food. There is also a cocktail list as well as local beers. Steve and Helen do an amazing job at running the best restaurant in Huddersfield- we highly recommend a visit but be warned you will keep going back for more

What can I say. Probably the nicest eatery in Huddersfield. Just shared a first date here this afternoon for an amazing Sunday lunch. The food was simply superb, which makes it great value for money, the service was excellent and so friendly. With a lovely busy atmosphere. Such a lovely an memorable place.

My first time here and I was really impressed. Had chicken and lamb mixed kebab and loved it. So tasty and a lovely restaurant with pleasant staff. I can't wait to come back again and try something else 💯

All the food we ordered was great. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was good.

There were 8 of us who were there to celebrate a milestone wedding anniversary. The food was excellent, especially the lamb chops! The service was attentive and smiley.

I can’t tell you how you will be looking after and what kind of the quality you will see in this fantastic restaurant. Staff are really nice and helpful. The manager call Naz she is fabulous. WOW, talk about a pleasant surprise, this place is a diamond in the rough. Started when we walked through the door. The young lady greeting us said they were booked, but she squeezed us in. She made it happen and it was a great table. Service was so good, made sure our experience was perfect. The food, my gosh, it was great from the bread to the salad(dressing was killer) to the main course to the super yummy dessert. I HIGHLY recommend this place. Reservations recommended (we just got lucky). This is definitely that Special occasion spot. Don't miss out...

Our friend recommended us we did not know a reservation was recommended but since they had tables available they sat us down. We went for lunch the food was really delicious and there avocado pesto was really good! Our waiter was really friendly and they were on top of our needs. It's a really fancy place, some of the food can be pricey but it was worth it.

9/24 edit On this date it was my birthday and my wife and second from the youngest daughter and her fiance treated me to dinner. This is our go-to place in Dalton for high-end fine dining and it's never disappointing. This evening I had the chef special blackened flounder with lobster crab sauce, and asiago grits. The flounder was cooked absolutely perfect, it was glistening and tender and the seasonings were spot on. The grits were creamy and tender and the sauce...... Just a perfect bite every time. Instead of the primary dining room, we were seated in an area of the bar connected to them through the patio called JD's. It has a masculine cocktail bar feel to it, but it is well furnished and quite inviting. The ambiance was quite relaxing. 11/23 It was our middle daughter's birthday so we decided to give her and her husband a treat. It has been some time since the last time we were there, and they have done remodeling it seems and the ambiance and decor were very relaxing and intimate. They also have a new chef, who is in his third month and he is putting up spectacular dishes. For appetizers we had a half dozen raw Cape cod boomamoto oyster platter, and fried green tomatoes with goat cheese and a jalapeno aioli. I ordered the butter poached lobster and risotto. The lobster was flaky and cooked perfectly, and the risotto was al dente perfection. The wife ordered the half rack of lamb vindaloo demi, serve over mashed potatoes. She said " flavorful tender juicy cooked to a perfect mid rare" Our daughter ordered the jambalaya pasta and said " The fresh pasta and the spices had a little bite, but it was so good" Our son-in-law had the 12 ounce ribeye cooked mid rare and said " I'll never look at another steak the same way again" The food was delicious. Our server Wilson was professional, informative and attentive without being overbearing. They also have an outdoor seating area that looks beautiful in the evening with the lights. Plenty of parking on the street, and the restaurant is clearly marked. I highly recommend this place for relaxing delicious dinner. Excellent restaurant 🇺🇸💯👏🏽🐺 Wonderful staff and service all around. The food is prepared by a chef. The menu has many phenomenal options. Any choice won’t disappoint. Located in the heart of historic Dalton this restaurant is very comfortable has beautiful design and really cool artwork. We had a wonderful night for Nicole’s birthday. Took my mum last night for her 60th, we were a party of 6. The staff were absolutely amazing no request was too big or too small. The food was amazing and we all enjoyed our visit. We definitely will be back

I had my 40th birthday fine Dinning last party at Royal City on 2nd March. It was indeed a splendid experience. The staff were so supportive, friendly, and very approachable. The food tastes great. The atmosphere was top notch, and to crown it all , they decorated my session with my choice colours. Went there with a friends family on Mother's Day, and we had a swell time. You do need to worry about car park as they have a massive parking space right at the restaurant location. I would recommend Royal City any time, any day. Please visit ROYAL CITY and thank me later.

Went to Royal City, all you can eat, with the in- laws, and was very satisfied. We did book a table but I am sure we would have been seated even if we hadn't. We tried a good portion of the starters and even ordered some more won ton. We had king prawn curry, (which I think was shrimp curry) which was very enjoyable, also beef in black bean and chicken in oyster sauce. Fried rice, noodles, garlic mushrooms and vegetables. And everything was very well prepared and tasted very nice. We left very full and happy, will return.

Been going to this restaurant for almost 30 years. The food, service have always been great. Staff have treated my family like family at times. Nice chilled relaxed atmosphere. Great value for money.

We have been going here for at least 18 years. We've always had fantastic service, excellent food and a good atmosphere. The price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get.

Really packed & busy place. Credit to the staff who manage it all very well. The staff here are amazing: engaging, courteous, accommodating & friendly. The food is nice, although a little hit and miss sometimes. Some dishes are great. Always great quality however with some dishes the flavour isn't quite there. Still, we will be back again. Car parking can be an issue as its quite small for the size of the restaurant. Overall a positive experience, worth a visit.

If I had a criticism it was that there was too much salt in the gravy, but that's it, this place is stunning, the staff bloody fantastic and the food absolutely top notch. We came for boxing day and it was worth every penny. We'll be back.

This has always and will always be my favourite uk country pub. We are regulars here as it’s on our door step - whether I eat inside or out, upstairs or down, have coffee or just drinks - with or without the children EVERY time it’s perfect! The staff are extremely professional and all the ingredients they use are divine. Plus some of the best walks you could wish for but you can’t avoid a steep ascent 😜

We've visited before for dinner, but had our first overnight stay here this weekend. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! Food was incredible as always. Special shout out to Emma for the best full English we've ever had! Rooms were immaculate and little touches made us feel incredibly welcome, while also feeling in luxury! Lily also made us feel so well taken care of during our breakfast, what a perfect start to our Sunday! Thank you all for the best stay!

It really is as good as it gets. Extremely well appointed and stylish rooms, Award winning restaurant with cosy bar and comfortable lounges. The staff bring the whole wonderful experience to life. I would love to keep it a secret but we all should experience the Shibden Mill Inn at least once, we hope to make a habit of it. It's worth travelling the length of the country just to enjoy it. Never had a bad meal from this place, I've been going years. The food tastes great, is reasonably priced and the staff are really friendly

Pop in here from time to time as we live just down the road. Chips are always nice. My Wife likes the fish, and I usually get battered sausage. Batter is always golden, crunchy, and never overcooked. Staff are friendly and always have a chat while preparing your order. Proper local community fish shop.

Friendly staff and good food. Haven’t had a good fish and chips in a while but that was top quality. Not the biggest fish but very tasty. Curry sauce was better than most I’ve had too. Friendly welcoming staff and the lady spoke to everyone and clearly cared. Will be my go to from now on 👍🏼

Best chippy I’ve had for ages! The lady serving was lovely, the portions are really generous, the quality was amazing and the curry sauce was unreal 🤤🤤. Cheap as chips too! (Excuse the pun) 10/10.

Fantastic place to come on any occasion. Went for my wife's birthday and was not disappointed. Food is amazing as always. Great service and love the decor. Can be a bit noisy later on weekends but nothing crazy and no fault of the restaurant.

Saw this place from the road as we were passing through; it looked very inviting. We weren't disappointed at all. Everything was great and I'd recommend it if you're anywhere near.

Went to Volare to celebrate a family birthday and we had an excellent time. The staff were very polite, efficient and the service seamless. The food was delicious and I say this as someone who has experience of Mediterranean food. Finger-licking meatballs. Thoroughly recommend.
