Excellent cream-based carbonara and risotto. Loved that they can do half portions. Table beside me had a rare steak and it looked perfectly done.

Had a best dinner so far with my family. We had an absolutely outstanding meal here tonight, so friendly and welcoming staff, highly recommend to all, it wasn't a cheap meal but you get quality, cooked to perfection, worth every penny!.

What a fantastic little place. The steaks are amazing. Not just for the price but because they really are one of the best steaks in leeds. It’s really good to have another family friendly and good value Italian in Headingley.

Our recent dining experience at Casa Alba truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we stepped in, we were warmly greeted and ushered to our table by the friendly staff, setting the tone for a wonderful evening. The appetizers were a true revelation of Italian flavors. The cheese garlic bread was crispy yet fluffy, had a perfect blend of cheeses. The mixed seafood starter was a tantalizing medley of fresh, succulent seafood. From the perfectly seared shrimp to the tender calamari, every element on the plate was seasoned to perfection, showcasing the chef's culinary expertise. As for the main courses, both the pasta and risotto dishes showcased the restaurant's dedication to authentic Italian cooking. The pasta was cooked to perfection, with a satisfying al dente texture, and the sauce was rich flavored. The risotto was creamy and flavorful delight, brimming with fresh vegetables and perfectly cooked rice. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and ever-ready to cater to our needs, making us feel like esteemed guests throughout the evening. Their recommendations, especially when it came to wine pairings, were spot on and further enhanced our dining experience. Can only highly recommend and we will def be coming back! Delicious Yemeni chicken mindhi and tasty veggie curry and the Yemeni gracious and humble service. Place was filled with Yemeni people eating so a good sign of good food original tasting food. While sitting there saw many large take out trays leaving the place. It’s a small place but nice. Try to get there before 7 on Friday nights if you want mindhi meat otherwise there’s a good chance they’ll run out. They have a traditional private Yemeni family room great for a large family to eat in. Also used as a prayer room. Tried to give a tip but they wouldn’t except it totally refused.

It was a take out. I don't know about rest of the food but the Mandi is 10/10 for sure. I took 1/4 Lamb mandi home, everyone enjoyed and ate it to the belly full. Thank you.

Delicious traditional Yemeni meals and desserts cooked fresh to order, in very big portions. Very helpful service on which options to choose from as a vegetarian, but I'd say its mostly geared for meat-eaters (particularly if you like Lamb). I returned here as a meat-eater (after being Vegetarian for 3 years) before leaving Leeds for their Maandi Lamb. Has to be the best lamb dish I have EVER had. I haven't seen their kitchen but I'm pretty sure they use the traditional method of an underground oven or something alike to make the lamb slide off the bone. Spices were amazing.

This place has great food and excellent portions. I’ve been quite a few times and regularly get a takeaway. The plated gyros is amazing. I’d like to give some constructive feedback though - the atmosphere can be a little quiet. I think it would be helped if they could inject a warmer atmosphere by maybe turning the music up a little bit and turning the lighting down slightly , particularly in the evenings to create a warmer feel.. Perhaps the staff could be a little more lively too (although they are friendly). The food is excellent though I do recommend.

Very tasty Chicken Gyros Plated. Huge portion with shaved chicken, tasty fries, lovely bread and a small salad with a good dressing. Thoroughly recommend this place. Food was served quickly and hot (not reheated!), and the service was friendly. Only a few people in the restaurant so atmosphere was quiet or non existent, but this was a Wednesday evening, so maybe to be expected. Come here for the food - it's delicious.

We are from Newcastle visiting family. Driving by saw this Greek restaurant and decided to try it. Very nice, clean ambiance and we were greeted by atue owner. Well, the food was delicious and the portion was very big. We only got the main course and wine. I had the lamb with chips and my husband the chicken with rice. We both loved and forgot to take pics….just took of our finished meal which we ate taking home now the leftovers. :)

If you live in Leeds and you've not had the pleasure of dining at Zucco, you are missing out! Brilliant food and service, great atmosphere! We can't wait to come back.

We've been coming to Zucco since shortly after it opened, and I've never been disappointed! Really a testament to them to have kept the quality up for all these years. We recently visited for a celebratory meal and were pleased to see it was relatively busy even on a Wednesday night - so I would recommend booking. The offering has changed ever so slightly since the early days in that I would say the portion sizes have now increased and it's less 'small plates' now - we were slightly caught out by this a we ordered four plates between two, which probably would have been just right in the early days but was perhaps a bit much now. Needless to say, we still demolished the lot We ordered the seafood risotto, chicken diavola, beef pappardelle, and the gorgonzola and walnut pizzette. The beef pappardelle has always been my favourite as the beef is so tender and flavourful and the dish itself is very understated and simple in flavour profile but I'm afraid this has now been usurped by the seafood risotto, which was unbelievably good. Aside from the food, the FoH team are always so friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is calming and intimate, and the drinks offering is very impressive - both alcoholic and non alcoholic options with a range of fancy italian soft drinks. We've been coming for years and we will continue to come for as long as Zucco remains open - probably even after we move out of Leeds! It's worth noting we really pushed the boat out with a bottle of wine, soft drinks, and four dishes and it still came to less than £100. Exceptional value for what you get here.

Zucco isn't just the best restaurant in Leeds, it's arguably one of the best in the country. Great food, attentive (but not over-attentive) service and a lively yet relaxed atmosphere. Starting with the food, we had several plates shared across the table and each was mouth-wateringly delicious. A special mention for the arancini which are world-class! Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the decor in the restaurant is beautiful. A real gem of a restaurant that deserves every accolade it has received. A big thank you to all the staff from all of us.

We came to Zucco on their winter tasting night. We’ve been a few times and have always been impressed with the tasty food and the friendly staff. Tonight the highlights were the breaded artichoke, bean and whipped ricotta salad and the strawberry sorbet! Every course was really flavourful and there were a couple of treats thrown in! Can’t recommend this place enough

Taken aback by this wonderful treat! A warming and inviting environment with an intimate table/bar dining, wonderful menu and all the food, wine and cocktails we had were superb. Excellent value for money too- bonus!

Wonderful, delicious choice of small plates. Hard to choose a favourite but the pig cheek bourguinon is up there. Would recommend over-ordering to try as many dishes as possible and graze away. Great service too.

What an absolute gem of a place. Great food, lovely staff, and fantastic value for money. Strongly recommend a few things, including the baked camembert board, the chicken and egg (which was utterly incredible - so many flavours and textures), and the lobster croquettes. We had five sharing plates, a dessert each, and a cocktail each. Came to £100. Absolute bargain for the quality.

It was a good experience. Food was awesome. Service was also good. We order Wraps, Cappuccino, Nachos and Coffee Buttercream cake. Flavors of wraps was very hot and flavorful. The cake was very tempting taste of coffee. I felt the problem in Nachos(not recommended). I didn't like the sauce(dip), the chips was good.

On arrival, it was quiet. The place is clean and nicely set out. The breakfast menu had some good choices. We had the Full English breakfast and a bacon sausage and mushroom sandwich with a latte. (Please see photos attached) The coffee was very nice. The service was fairly quick, and the waiter was polite. It was well presented, and the food was decent. Compared to other places I've been to, it wasn't amazing, but it was more than good enough. They aren't very giving with the butter, though, so don't be afraid to ask for more. I think this place is more on the expensive side. Would come here again.

Delighted to have this restaurant/cafe recommended to us. We received good service, nice, food served quickly. We had the halloumi starter. My friend was amazed at the size of the breaded Halloumi and chunky chips. Table red wine was nice. The mains were very tasty. Price was good - we took advantage of the early bird deal. Good wholesome food😀

What a lovely evening we had. Catered for a big group of us for my son’s 21st birthday. Food was absolutely spot on and the service was brilliant. We were probably a bit loud when the drinks were flowing but these guys were amazing! Thank you so much

Visited Fat Hippo on 15/05/24 for a Special Birthday Celebration From the moment we stepped into Fat Hippo, the atmosphere was perfect.The cleanliness of the restaurant was also impeccable. My food journey began with the cheese balls starter, a blend of beautiful cheese and the most tasty sauce, creating a memorable beginning to our meal. The main course, the signature Fat Hippo burger, was nothing short of a masterpiece. It was gigantic, not just in size but in flavor. The quality of the ingredients shone through, earning a solid 10/10 from all of us at the table. It was very satisfying and filling, The staff at Fat Hippo deserve a special mention for their friendly and helpful demeanor.. The availability of a gluten-free menu is a thoughtful touch that speaks volumes about the restaurant’s commitment to inclusivity. In terms of food quality, Fat Hippo stands out. The taste and presentation of each dish was exceptional and the variety offered something for everyone. While the portion sizes were generous, they did not compromise on quality. The prices for a group of 4 were reasonable. I was very happy with the bill. Well worth it. Would I recommend Fat Hippo? Absolutely, Fat Hippo delivers an experience that is both satisfying and memorable. I am looking forward to our next visit.

The food here is beyond restaurant quality. It is absolutely superb. I haven't had a take away curry this good ever before. I have tried a number of different dishes and each one is stunning. You simply must give it a try.

It's been a few months since we visited but I thought I'd better get round to posting a review as we had a very good experience. I have somewhat complicated dietary restrictions which they catered to very well, and overall the food and service was very good. The service was polite, friendly & attentive without being overbearing, and the food was really tasty, we had quite a range of dishes between 6 of us and all left satisfied! Edited to original review: we have since visited 2 more times, and I remain impressed by the quality of the food, the service, and their willingness to cater to my food intolerances.

We missed the breakfast menu by 20 minutes, we wanted the Trio. So I ordered the breakfast stack and the other half the Reuben sandwich. The stack was really good, breakfast with some different flavours, a little spice and jammy sweetness. The fries were crispy, excellent. The Reuben was meant to have corned beef and beef. It seemed to be just pastrami, but she enjoyed it anyway. Good food, friendly service. We made breakfast this time! They don't have eggs trio on the menu anymore but they kindly did a player for us for £17. I had the traditional, very nice.

Popped in for breakfast it was very quiet at 9:00 a.m., What a surprisingly nice egg and avocado Breakfast was okay but I feel like I always miss beans if it's not there. The coffee was nicely presented and okay but not as strong as I like it

First time, booked birthday lunch 10 adults 3 kids. Atmosphere good, one issue background speaker in roof to loud, found conversation difficult. Staff very helpful and friendly 10 out of 10. Unsure if large party was issue because we all said food warm to cold. This did put a damper on the occasion. May have to return just the two of us try again see if better.

Great place, we were shown to a table straight away even though we didn’t book. Didn’t have to wait long in-between courses. This was my second visit here and the food did not disappoint. A little gem on the outskirts of Leeds. Our waitress Grace was very accommodating, helpful and polite. Grace looked after us and she seems to have really settled into her role. On our first visit she had just started and wax in training.

Really enjoy having dinner in Gusto. The foods are really delicious. Service also very good! Oli was really nice and friendly that made us really enjoy and happy during the meal time. It’ s so amazing. I really recommend it. I must come again.

Lovely restaurant with parking outside and outdoor seating. Ordered 2x pizza bread for starters and lovely sweet tomato sauce and fresh slices of garlic. Mains ordered the burger which was really good with fries. Loved the burger sauce and the mustard sauce offered.. Chicken, fries and peas on the kids menu. Pepperoni pizza 🍕 and lasagna. Not sold on the 3 meat lasagna.. I thought it lacked the tomato sauce and made it a tad dry but that’s only my opinion.. don’t mess with classic recipes. Add 3x glasses of wine. 2x white and 1x red with 1x pint of lager and 2x pints of Pepsi. Total cost = £135 Overall 4* recommend.

All food and drinks taste delicious!! Service is great too!! Oli (the waiter) is humorous~ We had a great time there Overall had a really nice experience will definitely revisit!!!
