Jack has done another fantastic job of trimming our ivy that grows up one side of our house. People have commented how neat and well kept it looks. Everything is taken away afterwards like they were never there which is great. Jack is really friendly and professional and I would highly recommend him.

I recently had a One Day garden consultation with Sarah to give me some inspiration and advice on what to do with our garden (we’ve recently moved into a new build house with a fairly large garden area that we wanted to make the best of with some lovely planting while also making it kid friendly for our toddler and find space for a shed!). Sarah spent the morning with me thoroughly going through ideas for types of plants, positioning of plants, garden layout and helped with lots of problem solving too (as the garden space we have has a fairly challenging layout). It was a really enjoyable morning and I liked the collaborative approach that Sarah took, exploring my preferences at every point. From the morning’s session, Sarah produced a wonderfully detailed garden proposal for us and specific instructions for planting. Sarah’s plant knowledge is really impressive, she knew exactly what was best for our soil and the Yorkshire climate. As someone with minimal gardening experience, I now feel like I have a route forwards to creating a beautiful garden whereas before I didn’t know where to begin!! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend! First used this company a few years ago to revamp garden after building work. Sarah provided an amazing plan making sure all the areas most viewed from indoors were exciting and colourful. We now have a beautiful cohesive garden. We have been pleased to welcome Sarah back to our garden to enhance further areas which she has done with much success. Because she listens so carefully and then actually tries to fit our brief so closely it has been a very painless experience. Would not have known where to start to get what we had in mind - but now we have it! We are currently liaising with Sarah over a few tweaks and additions and as usual she has some brilliant ideas. We really enjoy our garden now both viewed from inside the house as well as in this glorious leisure space. Very happy to reccomend this company.

I recently had the One Day Consultation with Sarah at North Leeds Garden Design. It was brilliant - a really useful morning spent going round our garden and talking through solutions to the various problem areas and Sarah sent through an incredibly detailed report after spending an afternoon back in the office. She came up with some great ideas for the garden and I've already implemented a couple of the simple ones. I don't normally do things like this but it was well worth the money - I now know where to spend money on the garden and what plants will work well in our soil, which will avoid wasting money in the future on unsuitable plants. I am also more confident about going forward with projects in the garden.

I have a small to medium sized garden on a slope, a long list of things I want to do in the space and a relatively small budget - a triple challenge! Sarah really listened and talked through all my ideas and came up with a brilliant design that incorporates lots of planting space for veg, herbs and flowers, a fruit garden, wildlife pond and seating area, whilst dealing with the slope and somehow making it seem bigger than before! It's a joy to be in and wows everyone who visits. Sarah was friendly, knowledgeable and professional and went the extra mile to help me. Jason did various jobs for my elderly mum. Chopped down a small tree, trimmed some bushes, cleared all the autumn leaves up and fixed a fence broken by the wind. I cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful group of people. The design by John and the installation by Darren and his team was of the highest quality. My uninteresting lawn with borders and a tiny patio was transformed into something wonderful with a pergola, raised pond, large planters and patio but still with enough grass for a game of football or cricket to satisfy the grandchildren. Darren and the boys worked virtually non-stop for 5 weeks, often arriving in early morning darkness. Their attention to detail was remarkable and as the saying goes "You get what you pay for", it is worth every penny. Visitors always comment at how wonderful the garden looks. Thank you to everyone involved, especially to Darren and the boys.

Hands down the best landscaping design and installation professionals in this region, if not the UK. The team are very patient and attentive to every detail in the garden. Our garden came a cost but we can say without doubt we are overjoyed with the outcome and the follow up service. John and his team have kept an eye on the garden to ensure the warranty period is honored and have been proactive in providing follow up care at no further cost. If you want outstanding design, installation and after care then you must go with these guys.

FirstLight Landscaping are a good company to work with when you're looking for a competent landscaping company that can project manage really well. We were looking to refresh the garden, as how we use the space is functionally different than the previous owners of our home. With FLL's designs (via Neal), we were able to discuss and alter them as often as we needed. When we eventually got to the work actually beginning (on Liam's side), their team were really flexible, and allowed us to add or change things in the design when we realised other needs for the space. Also, Ian and Rich, who worked on-site for the duration of the project, were lovely people who did great work, and knew a lot from their own experience, that helped inform when there were potentially better design choices. Overall, FLL are a trustworthy company, and I'd be happy to use their services again if the chance came up.

FirstlightLandscaping first built our raised decking 14 years ago so when it needed replacing we didn’t hestitate to contact them again. As before Liam, Neal & their team were so respectful & professional & did a fantastic job replacing our wooden decking for composite. There were a few hiccups with the delivery of materials from a third party but we were kept informed all the time. We had an absolutely brilliant experience working with the FirstLight team. After being disappointed by several companies Neal really took on board what we wanted. The team (headed up by Dave) were informative throughout, even keeping me up to date while I was away on holiday. Incredibly clean and tidy at the end of each working day. The FirstLight team were great from start to finish. We wanted a patio doing after having some work done on the house - Neal was really helpful with ideas, designs and advising on ways to keep to budget. All of the team were extremely professional and friendly. Most importantly we’ve been really impressed with the quality of their work. It has been finished to a really high standard. They kept the site as tidy as possible. We were also away on holiday for some of the work and the team kept us updated with pictures and were always available to chat to if needed. One of my fencing panels had blown completely off, so i contacted Hemingway fencing and they called out the next day gave me a great price as it was only a fix up job and completed the work later on that day. Work was carried out very attentively, neatly with no fuss. Was very happy from start to finish. Roy was very friendly, kind and respectful. Just seemed a genuine guy. Roy was fantastic ! Our fence had blown down in the bad storms we had recently, I called Roy after researching fencers in Leeds and he came up as one of the the highest rated. Roy was very polite and helpful, you can tell that he is very experienced and gave me sound advise on how he is going to do the repairs and gave me a very reasonable quote. The work was completed timely and without any mess, Roy is very hardworking he was working in sub zero temperatures and into the night just so he can get the work completed for me, I would have no hesitation employing Roy again. Definitely the right man for the job !
