We used Take Root garden design’s “design in a day service” as our small garden required redesigning after a small extension had been built. Alison’s ideas were a perfect way to transform a large wall and some concrete bases we had struggled to integrate into the garden. Alison design included raised beds, integral seating patio and utility areas, with complementary planting ideas. The design is recently complete using a landscaping company recommended by Alison that I would also highly recommend. The garden is now another room in our home as it has been designed to be viewed from both downstairs rooms. This is the most pleasing aspect it definitely meets the saying of “bringing the outside in”. The colours of the bricks, paving and planting Alison design blends and complements our indoor room, very clever indeed, seeing is believing. If you want a garden which works for you and saves you costly mistakes I would highly recommend Take Root garden design. Alison has done a great job for us. We moved in to a new home with a expanse of grass from fence to fence and being non-gardeners didn't have a clue what to do. On her first visit we gave Alison a long list of things we like or things we've seen in country gardens and expected she would use a couple of the suggestions, but no, she managed to incorporate every single one! Over the following 12 months Alison has been there to advise on layout, choosing and sourcing the plants and helping with the planting, with the end result being a spectacular garden. In fact, her imaginative layout is almost like having three different gardens depending on where you are sitting.

During the autumn Rick dug out a large section of our back garden and using reclaimed Yorkshire stone he flagged it to a very high standard. He also built us two raised beds from reclaimed sleepers. We're really happy with the finished results and are looking forward to planting out some vegetables come the spring!

Richard is a very friendly and helpful man who tries his best to please. His decking solution at ours in Holmfirth has been excellent. There was a hitch and he came straight back to fix it. Everyone encounters problems and it is how you fix them that matters. He has also done a great job on our stone patio. I’d highly recommend Richard.

Nick came and cut our hedges, did a great job, cleaned up and took all the waste away. Good professional job done. Will be getting him back again end of summer to cut the hedges again.

Nick came along and did a full garden tidy up for me. Removed dead plants, trimmed the hedges, pruned the trees and cut and strimmed down my very overgrown grass. Nick even took the waste away which was very handy. 100% would recommend.

These guys replaced my garden fence which was destroyed in a storm. They did an excellent job. Very professional. Left the area clean and tidy and turned up when they said they would. Would highly recommend.

Did a fabulous job, prompt good service

Four Seasons carried out work to our Garden earlier this year including new stone walls, stairs, patio and pizza oven area. The job involved some excavation and they were very organised with skips and materials. Matthew, Luke & Liam did a superb job and we’re absolutely thrilled with the result. We liked to be involved with decisions and kept up to date as the job progressed and they patiently discussed ideas and came up with solutions with professionalism and humour. We’ve had work done by other companies previously that wasn’t done right leaving loose flags among other issues but Four Seasons have done the job right and we have no concerns whatsoever over the standard and finish of the work. They are also thoroughly nice people and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them or use their services again.

We are delighted with the work carried out on our garden. It was a big job, turning a rather sad & neglected garden into a veritable oasis with a new patio, lawns, pathways, wildflower area, flower beds and planting.
