We asked Alison to help us re-design an area of our long established garden. She was meticulous in her measuring and note taking. A few weeks later we received her idea for our new patio/pergola. We were very excited to see what she had envisioned for us and we were not disappointed. Unfortunately due to ill health we have not been able to bring her vision to reality but hopefully sometime in the near future it will happen. Thank you Alison.

Alison has done a great job for us. We moved in to a new home with a expanse of grass from fence to fence and being non-gardeners didn't have a clue what to do. On her first visit we gave Alison a long list of things we like or things we've seen in country gardens and expected she would use a couple of the suggestions, but no, she managed to incorporate every single one! Over the following 12 months Alison has been there to advise on layout, choosing and sourcing the plants and helping with the planting, with the end result being a spectacular garden. In fact, her imaginative layout is almost like having three different gardens depending on where you are sitting.

I’ve just moved to a new house and am very keen to get stuck in with my garden, but was a bit overwhelmed with ideas and not sure what would be best for my space. I had a really useful 90 minute consultation with Alison and now have a much clearer idea of what I’m aiming for. She gave me great recommendations for plants, trees and materials that would work in the space with my limited budget. Thank you Alison!

We used Take Root garden design’s “design in a day service” as our small garden required redesigning after a small extension had been built. Alison’s ideas were a perfect way to transform a large wall and some concrete bases we had struggled to integrate into the garden. Alison design included raised beds, integral seating patio and utility areas, with complementary planting ideas. The design is recently complete using a landscaping company recommended by Alison that I would also highly recommend. The garden is now another room in our home as it has been designed to be viewed from both downstairs rooms. This is the most pleasing aspect it definitely meets the saying of “bringing the outside in”. The colours of the bricks, paving and planting Alison design blends and complements our indoor room, very clever indeed, seeing is believing. If you want a garden which works for you and saves you costly mistakes I would highly recommend Take Root garden design. It is great value for money, with a design Alison produces which works, I would highly recommend this service.

We recently had a really bad experience with a landscaper who we paid a lot of money to and who left the project in a mess. Fortunately we had kept some of the fee back when we sacked him and then went out to find someone to put everything right. Enter RS Groundworks! I spoke to Rob and explained the situation and he came to look within a couple of days. He made a plan, fully explained it, and then told is his fees. We knew he had other work on and would fit us in when he could, but within a couple of weeks he came along and got on with the job. It's now all done and looking like we wanted it in the first place. Rob is very hard working, punctual, professional and experienced. His fees were fair. Our only regret was not getting Rob in the first place! (We actually tried)!! I would thoroughly recommend RS Groundworks.

We used RS Groundworks to redesign and landscape our back garden. This involved construction of a retaining wall, earthworks, patio relaying/extension and turf installation, amongst other things. We agreed a date for the work to take place and Rob turned up on time with all the equipment. We had some last minute changes to the design which Rob was happy to accommodate, he also gave us advise on how to make the best use of some of the spaces in our garden. We were really pleased with the quality and consistency throughout and the finished work was exactly what we wanted. We will definitely be using RS Groundworks again and can't recommend highly enough.

Amazing job by Rob at our place over the last 3 weeks. He and Ash worked tirelessly on our patio and driveway and have completely transformed our outdoor space. Rob was great from the minute we spoke to him - he had some cracking ideas which was great as we weren’t really sure what we wanted. Some contractors want to know exact details of what work needs doing right from the start but Rob worked flexibly with us throughout to take into account our changing priorities. Can’t speak highly enough of Rob - he has a mantra of seeing a job through to the end which was great as we weren’t really sure what “the end” should look like. Thankyou for an absolutely brilliant job, especially so with it being just before Christmas. After the last storms, my complete back garden fence had come down blocking the park snicket behind my house which a lot of people use this snicket as a short cut to park. Not only did Rob come highly recommended but him and his team worked hard and even managed to finish a day before the due finishing date, proper grafters. They were there first thing and worked through each day until just before dark. The finished job was exactly what I wanted, Thankyou again and Merry Christmas 🎄

We got our first blue spruce from Ripponden Christmas Tree Farm and were very impressed! The staff were very helpful and the tree itself lasted from 30th November - 14th January (trying to prolong Christmas for as long as possible, not because we’re lazy...!)

Brought a tree here today on a busy Sunday. Staff were great helping with parking, massive range of trees and other bits and bobs. Got the tree and help ya self to clippings! What more could you ask for?

Fantastic experience with Garden Revamps, laying artificial grass and building planters and decking. From getting our initial quote from Graham to agreeing on the works to be done, the team couldn’t have been more helpful. Once they started on the job they kept us well informed of their progress and got the job done to a great standard, love our new outdoor space. Would highly recommend!

I would just like to say a massive thank you to Graham for taking my garden work on. From start to finish the lads have being awesome and I'm quite picky with tradesmen but have to say that Tom and Shaun have been brilliant and do work thier socks off and the finish product is awesome. I've had my front lawn taken up, cultivated and returfed and the back garden fence has been pulled down and a new one put up. The lads were punctual, reliable, friendly and very knowledgeable. Overall if I need anymore work doing then these are my go to indeed and will be recommending them to others

I can’t fault Graham and his team. They were putting in a long concrete path to give a flat access to our church hall. They were working by the Church and school and were really helpful to people by trying not to get in their way when dropping off children. Graham kept in touch every day to ensure we had everything we had asked for and the path is perfect and many parishioners have commented on the excellent work. I would definitely recommend Garden Revamps. Adding to this review as they have now finished the second section of work putting up a 6ft fence and two more gates covering a large area. Just as with the other job, arrived on time did the job professionally and worked hard to finish it for us. Looks great. Again would highly recommend and we will certainly use Garden Revamps again.

Graham and his team were excellent. Friendly, hard-working and a great price. The lads turned up early every day and did a fantastic job. Turned our derelict garden into a gorgeous patio and level grass area within a couple of weeks, around 140sqm. Their ideas on how to solve tricky challenges with differing heights and awkward corners were well thought out and their attention to detail was outstanding, they really care about what they do. Thank you Barry and Adam for all your hard graft and thank you Graham for managing everything in the limited time that you had.

We are approaching our 70s now (it had to come sadly!) so we had a plan to improve access around our garden and to minimise future maintenance. This involved changing half of the garden but we wanted the changes to intergate with the remaining untouched part. James and his team sucessfully did this for us and we are absolutely delighted with the results. Throughout the process James, and indeed all members of his team, were approachable, listened to what we wanted, suggested improvements, delivered reliably and on time and were thoroughly professional. As with any job of this sort, there were a few bits of snagging to do but this was undertaken without fuss or delay. A few months on the garden is looking much improved and we can now see a couple of years down the line, when we've got our planting sorted, we'll have a superb, manageable and accessible back garden for our dotage! James & John replaced my fence at very short notice. They arrived, gave me a super competitive quote and were back in under a week to complete the job. The finished result was excellent despite horrendous weather and James not being very well. I would have no hesitation in recommending James and his team and I will go nowhere else in the future. From the get go this was 1st class service. I contacted Danny via the website and he made contact me with next day. We agreed a time and date for him to come around and evaluate the work I needed completing. He arrived on time and listened to what I wanted, and a price was discussed. I had the team come around today (arrived on time) and they completed the job efficiently and to a high standard. The team was friendly upon arrival and go straight to it. We have been delighted with Mark and his team in transforming our ‘new build’ garden into something mature and quite beautiful. Having been very happy with the creation of raised beds and the planting to front and side borders we asked Mark to come up with a plan to discuss for our very large rear border already housing 8 fully mature trees. “A walk in the Woods’ was an inspired design with steel moon gates, seating areas, pathways, water features and an outstanding planting design. We couldn’t be happier. The icing on the cake was just how personable and professional Mark, Jackie and Craig were. It was as if they’ve were doing their own garden !

Mark and his team have looked after our garden for a few years now. Mark is reliable, hardworking, knowledgeable and trustworthy. No job is too big or too small. He keeps our leylandii in check and has improved our front lawn no end. He also looks after my father-in-law's garden. I always look forward to his visits (and a chat!) and enjoy looking at the garden when he has been. He provides a first rate service with a smile!

I contacted Mark's Garden Services to prune back some Leylandii trees which had gone wild. Mark and his Team arrived early one morning, no messing about, they were right in there to tackle the job. All the time they were professional, kept tidying up as they went along and left the area looking very neat, tidy and above all a nice clean cut hedge. Stuart worked incredibly hard to transform my garden from plain old grass into a wonderful place where I love spending my time now. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Stuart and he was professional throughout the entire process, keeping me updated throughout with regular communication, and ensuring he left everything completely clean and tidy at the end of the job. Stuart originally did our next door neigbour's garden and we were very impressed with the work so asked him to look at our front garden. He provided guidance and recomnended the best options for extending the drive so that 2 cars can be parked on it. The end result is perfect with a sleeper border which we have yet to put plants in. We had made a start on the back garden and were looking at doing the fencing ourselves but asked Stuart to quote and were more than happy with the price and so he went ahead. Stuart recently converted our very dull front garden into a fantastic outdoor space complete with porcelain tiles, cedar cladding, drystone feature wall and turfed area. We were so thrilled with his immaculate workmanship that we asked him to block pave our drive at the back along with a raised seating area made from our old Yorkshire stone path. Just to finish off, again a turf grassed area was also done. Stuart always goes above and beyond to ensure complete satisfaction every time. Thanks Stuart, you are the best!
