First used this company a few years ago to revamp garden after building work. Sarah provided an amazing plan making sure all the areas most viewed from indoors were exciting and colourful. We now have a beautiful cohesive garden. We have been pleased to welcome Sarah back to our garden to enhance further areas which she has done with much success. Because she listens so carefully and then actually tries to fit our brief so closely it has been a very painless experience. Would not have known where to start to get what we had in mind - but now we have it! We are currently liaising with Sarah over a few tweaks and additions and as usual she has some brilliant ideas. We really enjoy our garden now both viewed from inside the house as well as in this glorious leisure space. Very happy to reccomend this company.

I recently had the One Day Consultation with Sarah at North Leeds Garden Design. It was brilliant - a really useful morning spent going round our garden and talking through solutions to the various problem areas and Sarah sent through an incredibly detailed report after spending an afternoon back in the office. She came up with some great ideas for the garden and I've already implemented a couple of the simple ones. I don't normally do things like this but it was well worth the money - I now know where to spend money on the garden and what plants will work well in our soil, which will avoid wasting money in the future on unsuitable plants. I am also more confident about going forward with projects in the garden.

I have a small to medium sized garden on a slope, a long list of things I want to do in the space and a relatively small budget - a triple challenge! Sarah really listened and talked through all my ideas and came up with a brilliant design that incorporates lots of planting space for veg, herbs and flowers, a fruit garden, wildlife pond and seating area, whilst dealing with the slope and somehow making it seem bigger than before! It's a joy to be in and wows everyone who visits. Sarah was friendly, knowledgeable and professional and went the extra mile to help me. I have no hesitation in recommending North Leeds Garden Design.

I recently had a One Day garden consultation with Sarah to give me some inspiration and advice on what to do with our garden (we’ve recently moved into a new build house with a fairly large garden area that we wanted to make the best of with some lovely planting while also making it kid friendly for our toddler and find space for a shed!). Sarah spent the morning with me thoroughly going through ideas for types of plants, positioning of plants, garden layout and helped with lots of problem solving too (as the garden space we have has a fairly challenging layout). It was a really enjoyable morning and I liked the collaborative approach that Sarah took, exploring my preferences at every point. From the morning’s session, Sarah produced a wonderfully detailed garden proposal for us and specific instructions for planting. Sarah’s plant knowledge is really impressive, she knew exactly what was best for our soil and the Yorkshire climate. As someone with minimal gardening experience, I now feel like I have a route forwards to creating a beautiful garden whereas before I didn’t know where to begin!! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend! FirstlightLandscaping first built our raised decking 14 years ago so when it needed replacing we didn’t hestitate to contact them again. As before Liam, Neal & their team were so respectful & professional & did a fantastic job replacing our wooden decking for composite. There were a few hiccups with the delivery of materials from a third party but we were kept informed all the time. We had James and Murphy in for two weeks (with Liam supervising) putting in some raised decking in the back garden. They were extremely considerate of us and our neighbours at all times, and kept us fully informed about the progress of the work, even when we didn't ask. Our garden has restricted access so some of the aspects of deliveries were complicated but this was handled seamlessly. Their quality of work is very good and they involved us when decisions needed to be made, giving advice but leaving it ultimately up to us. They left the space incredibly tidy when they left, and it looks like we have a completely new garden! They were one of the best contractor teams we've had working on the house.

FirstLight Landscaping are a good company to work with when you're looking for a competent landscaping company that can project manage really well. We were looking to refresh the garden, as how we use the space is functionally different than the previous owners of our home. With FLL's designs (via Neal), we were able to discuss and alter them as often as we needed. When we eventually got to the work actually beginning (on Liam's side), their team were really flexible, and allowed us to add or change things in the design when we realised other needs for the space. Also, Ian and Rich, who worked on-site for the duration of the project, were lovely people who did great work, and knew a lot from their own experience, that helped inform when there were potentially better design choices. Overall, FLL are a trustworthy company, and I'd be happy to use their services again if the chance came up.

We had an absolutely brilliant experience working with the FirstLight team. After being disappointed by several companies Neal really took on board what we wanted. The team (headed up by Dave) were informative throughout, even keeping me up to date while I was away on holiday. Incredibly clean and tidy at the end of each working day. Any changes we made were taken onboard without any fuss. The quality of workmanship is clear to see and we now have a beautiful back garden that we can really enjoy and show off. Ben and team were brilliant from start to finish. Ben gave a really competitive price and did a great job getting my 4 trees under control and tidied in time for spring. I couldn’t recommend Gardener in Leeds any more highly 🌳🌳🌳🌳

Our gardens were very overgrown with hedges, shrubs, fruit trees and conifers needing trimming/pruning. An excellent job was carried out and all cuttings were taken away leaving everywhere neat and tidy. All done quickly and at a good price. Would recommend and will be returning customers.

Fantastic experience using Ben and colleague for a very large hedge trimming. Work is exceptional, all waste was taken away and the site left tidy. Definitely recommend and will be using again for future works.

Excellent Job. I had a row of substantial overgrown conifers next to a train line and a large hedge to trim back. I found West County Landscapes 7 years ago - I was thrilled - up to that point I had only found garden maintenance firms that let me down - regularly not turning up due to issues with weather or short staff - and often seeming to lack the level of professional expertise and knowledge I expected. I don’t know how West County Landscapes manage to do perfectly what other firms struggle to do - but they are brilliant. My initial arrangement was a fortnightly maintenance contract - they never missed a visit - whatever the weather - they were there - very impressive. Over the years I have been so glad I found them - their work ethic, their level of knowledge and expertise - and the standard of their work is consistent and really high. It is just wonderful to know my garden is in good hands and that I can completely rely on them. I cannot recommend them highly enough - I am a complete fan!

My wife, and I, asked Andy to remove some conifers and trees, trim back some trees, and our hedge. Him and his colleagues did exactly what we asked for. With the least amount of disruption. We would thoroughly recommend this company

After years of trying other local gardening services its such a relief to finally find a reliable, trustworthy and knowledgeable company. After an initial full visit on my garden to get it back under control I now have the team every 2 weeks to keep it looking its best. Family and friends now use west county landscapes also due to my recommendation. I can assure you they are just as happy with there services as I am. Went looking for a growing Christmas tree yesterday and there was so much choice that our heads were spinning, so asked a really lovely assistant who we’d spotted selling trees. She was incredibly helpful and also asked the manager Mark, who was so knowledgeable - a real expert! We are indebted to the garden team, and to Mark in particular, who was encyclopaedic and gave us sound, impartial advice, so we were able to buy the tree that suited our needs, with confidence. It’s now in situ and looks amazing! We wouldn’t hesitate to return to this garden centre

A first visit to Leeds Garden Centre and was a pleasant experience. A visit to the cafe we really enjoyed the scones were delicious the lady with the blond hair on the till was very friendly and gave the feeling nothing was too much trouble. All in all a great way to spend a morning.

The best garden centre with the best staff! It's not as big as others I've been to, but their range of houseplants is fantastic and they're all such healthy plants. Clearly well kept! The prices are very reasonable!! Best in all the other garden centres in Leeds imo. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and have a good sense of humour too. Brilliant place!
