Alison has done a great job for us. We moved in to a new home with a expanse of grass from fence to fence and being non-gardeners didn't have a clue what to do. On her first visit we gave Alison a long list of things we like or things we've seen in country gardens and expected she would use a couple of the suggestions, but no, she managed to incorporate every single one! Over the following 12 months Alison has been there to advise on layout, choosing and sourcing the plants and helping with the planting, with the end result being a spectacular garden. In fact, her imaginative layout is almost like having three different gardens depending on where you are sitting.

I’ve just moved to a new house and am very keen to get stuck in with my garden, but was a bit overwhelmed with ideas and not sure what would be best for my space. We used Take Root garden design’s “design in a day service” as our small garden required redesigning after a small extension had been built. Alison’s ideas were a perfect way to transform a large wall and some concrete bases we had struggled to integrate into the garden. Alison design included raised beds, integral seating patio and utility areas, with complementary planting ideas. The design is recently complete using a landscaping company recommended by Alison that I would also highly recommend. The garden is now another room in our home as it has been designed to be viewed from both downstairs rooms. This is the most pleasing aspect it definitely meets the saying of “bringing the outside in”. The colours of the bricks, paving and planting Alison design blends and complements our indoor room, very clever indeed, seeing is believing. If you want a garden which works for you and saves you costly mistakes I would highly recommend Take Root garden design. It is great value for money, with a design Alison produces which works, I would highly recommend this service.

We asked Alison to help us re-design an area of our long established garden. She was meticulous in her measuring and note taking. A few weeks later we received her idea for our new patio/pergola. We were very excited to see what she had envisioned for us and we were not disappointed. Unfortunately due to ill health we have not been able to bring her vision to reality but hopefully sometime in the near future it will happen. Thank you Alison.

During the autumn Rick dug out a large section of our back garden and using reclaimed Yorkshire stone he flagged it to a very high standard. He also built us two raised beds from reclaimed sleepers. We're really happy with the finished results and are looking forward to planting out some vegetables come the spring!

Rob and the team did an excellent job transforming our very tired and messy back garden. Clearing overgrown garden via difficult access in and out. New decking in composite materials, patio and fence cleaning, new planting. All completed within a week. Reliable, hard working, no issues too much. Thank you once again. Marek and the team at ANO Landscaping took our heavily overgrown multi-level back garden into a spacious, beautiful one in over 4 weeks and in adverse weather. It is now ripe for me to add my own planting scheme. Right from Marek's initial site visit he impressed me with his approach. He listened to my ideas and provided advice together with further design ideas, verbally and via several 3D drawings. The specialist tree surgeon and the team were equally as impressive, skilled, polite, friendly, communicating well with us as the project progressed. Landscape Creations have just completed a large renovation project of our large rear garden. The work involved a total redesign which included the preparation and laying of approximately 375 square metres of turf, creating beds containing a mixture of trees, shrubs and a variety of plants. The work also involved the construction of paths and patio steps Ben and his team are very professional, delightful to work with and provide an excellent level of service. As well as the expertese provided by Ben. special thanks go to Cory, Dave and Pat who were meticulous in all aspects of the work As such we would highly recommend them for any similar work, regardless of the size of the project

Thanks so much to Ben and his wonderful team for my fabulous new decking - from Andrew who went through the initial design to Dave, Cory and Patryk who completed the installation. The workmanship is outstanding. Everyone was so helpful and the lads made a fantastic job of the entire project including dealing with a land drainage issue going back over 20 years to when the house was first built! A nicer, more professional bunch of people you couldn’t hope to meet. Highly recommended. Would go even further - don’t pick anyone else.

I contacted several tree cutting businesses, but they either didn't respond at all or failed to send their promised quotes. Sully responded promptly, made a date to assess the job and kept to that date, submitted a quote and did the job efficiently, with the minimum of fuss when he said he would. Our garden was badly in need of a makeover. A sloping and uneven lawn, overgrown shrubs, ugly fencing, lack of privacy and impractical patio were some of issues we wanted to address. At our first meeting with Shaun and Callum they took time to really understand our issues and what we wanted to achieve. Unsurprisingly, the design they produced delivered almost exactly what we were looking for and we had no hesitation in engaging them to carry out the work. Sadly, Shaun passed away before the work started and apart from being very upset at his loss we were concerned about the impact this would have on the project. However, Callum calmly reassured us that he and Kieran (his assistant) would be able to complete the work. We decided to go ahead and in just over a month they removed overgrown shrubs, scraped the existing lawn, levelled the ground and laid a new lawn, built a block retaining wall and a raised border edged with sleepers. They also built steps and a sleeper wall and relaid a gravel path. They also moved shrubs around and planted the borders with new trees and shrubs to provide privacy and colour throughout the seasons. During the build we found them to be hardworking, reliable, collaborative, imaginative and personable. They also demostrated their flexibility by allowing our builder to lay our new patio before they had finished their part of the project. We are delighted with our new garden and highly recommend Callum and Kieran for similar garden projects.

From the moment I met Shaun it was obvious his passion was garden design. I explained what I would like from my mud pit, weed filled garden and Shaun got to work with a design. He totally took on board what I wanted and came back with a design that ticked all the boxes and the finished garden is a space that we can all enjoy now! Shaun worked on a large garden project for us and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The project included a large dig-out, building new sleeper walls, installing decking, laying a porcelain tile patio, building new steps and a path, prepping and laying artificial grass, moving a garden shed, planting and much more. We had a blank canvas to start with and a strong idea of what we wanted to achieve. We were not only looking for a cost effective way to get the job done but also looking someone we could work through our ideas with to create a space that was sleek, modern and great for entertaining. We shopped around and got quotes from several landscapers. Shaun’s quote was the best value and his costs were transparent - he kindly itemised the costs for me as well so I knew it wasn’t just a figure pulled out of thin air like some garden quotes can be. Cost aside, what we really liked about Shaun after first meeting him was his upfront, honest and passionate approach to his work which you can see straight away. Shaun was fantastic to work with from day one. He kept us informed every step of the way and his daily updates meant we were always comfortable and reassured with each stage of the work. He understood our brief and was focused on making sure every detail was to our liking. Shaun clearly isn’t just a landscaper and has a real passion for gardens. His knowledge and experience in garden design and planting was especially helpful in helping us decide on a whole range of details during our project. You can tell that Shaun really believes in the importance of outdoor spaces and we had numerous conversations during the project about layout, storage, heating options, materials, lighting, planting, the list goes on! Shaun isn’t the type to rush through things so he can move onto the next job - His willingness and energy to push to make our space the best it could be was there right upto the final day of work. The finished garden is everything we hoped for and more. It’s a complete transformation of the space that has wowed and shocked our family and friends! It’s hard to explain or convey with photos the feel of the completed space. It has a balance and a continuity of materials, textures and themes that give it a real sense of atmosphere and mood - particularly at dusk.
