I echo my recommendation on the FaceBook page but Alex is a true credit to his profession, he provided excellent care to our cat at the end of his life and let him slip away at home in comfort and in peace. He showed genuine care and empathy with us as both me and my wife were distraught and was professional throughout.

These guys have been absolutely amazing. My girl was spayed and then got quite poorly, I thought I was going to lose her. They quickly got her in and looked after her. She’s now the loving fetch & catch playing 10 month old kitten she was. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ♥️

We had to say goodbye to our beautiful Border Collie Meg this morning. We are all heart-broken and it was the hardest decision we've ever had to make. I want to thank Alex so much for the professional and compassionate care that he demonstrated. At all times Alex helped us through the process and made Meg's last moments peaceful and comfortable, in her own bed, surrounded by her family. Thank you so much Alex, and sleep well our beautiful girl.

Brilliant vet. Alex offered my family wonderful advice when it came to saying goodbye to our beloved, Jim Bob. I highly recommend his services. He was very compassionate and gave us peace of mind in the last moments.

Alerted me when my dog was rehomed 3 months ago in a difference area turned up at thr vets 3 months later been dumped they were amazing looked after her til I got to collect her

Our dog suddenly fell ill, and without going into detail, was massively let down by our regular vet. Desperate for help, I rang Hird & Partners who gave me some advice and then after several back-and-forth phone calls with his usual vet (to no avail), saw him the same night, treated him, and saw him several times within a couple of months before eventually being put to sleep. They were compassionate and helpful throughout and the vets and reception staff really seemed to genuinely care. The only regret I have is not bringing our dog here from the beginning. I cannot thank Hird & Partners enough for buying us the extra time with our beloved family pet - thank you all! Update: today we received a sympathy card from the vets - a very nice, and appreciated, touch!

Called ahead as I wanted to register my shynx'. The receptionist was really knowledgeable, and registration was easy. Cats were really calm with the male vet, who was great and allayed any concerns I had about spay/neuter for this breed.

Compassionate, caring, understanding & honest. Can't praise the staff at Mirfield & Huddersfield enough for how we and our fur babies were treated recently, would highly recommend.

Been using this surgery from the day it opened. The staff in the reception are brilliant, always pleasant and helpful, nothing is a problem for them. Also the Vets are very good, they are kind and care about your pets, they explain everything to you about your pets illness and do everything they can to help. I can recommend them to anyone needing treatment for there pets

The staff at this veterinary practice have been fantastic, not in only caring for my dogs, but ensuing a dignified and peaceful end to one of my dogs life. The showed compassion, empathy and love for both myself and my dog in her last moments. I will be forever grateful to them, thank you does not cut it.

My beloved dog, Max, was only registered at Palmer and Duncan a short time before we had to say goodbye to him on Friday evening, but the patience, care and compassion shown by all staff we met during that time was outstanding. Thank you so much for making such a difficult time that little bit easier for us. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone in Ossett with a pet.

After a bad experience with a large veterinary practice we decided our next pet would be cared for by a smaller more personal team. So far we feel more at home with Palmer and Duncan. Angus isn't as impressed as us!

I had used Companion Care for 14 years and. 5months under Mr Tavi Galla and his staff. I Highley recommend them. Sadly my lovely Border Collie Molly has just passed over the Rainbow Bridge.

The receptionist Tracey was friendly, polite and explained and helped me to sign up to the pet plan immediately. She explained what was included, the price breakdown and gave me leaflets to explain. The vet Tavi was amazing. So knowledgeable and understanding of my dog and his temperament. Knew exactly what to do and how to handle him. It was the first time I came to this practice having recently moved the area and I'm so relieved I've found such a friendly, caring practice with a vet who can help my dog Noodle. Thank you so much. Next time I won't feel so nervous to come along with my pup! :)

Bring 9 out of 10 pets to companian care ( the other goes to a local vet as he hates the car). Never had an issue at all, all staff very friendly, and the vets take their time to allow the pets to relax, only thing is their prices have jumped up since lockdown.

Came for the first time with my African Grey Ruby, Matt was amazing with handling and with giving me useful information. I was nervous of how it would go but it couldn't have gone any better! Back home now whistling as usual!

My girl had her annual Booster done, the vets here are amazing with my pets, exceptionally skilled, highly recommended, the nurses are fantastic, not forgetting the receptionist they company wouldn't function without a dedicated team.

Donaldsons are fantastic! They are caring, knowledgable professional, people who have always been there when my many rescues have needed them.

Outstanding vets. Have all my animals with them and can honestly say they are the best around. My dog actually likes visiting them and he’s had at least two operations. Just shows you how much they look after and care for them when they have to stay overnight. 10/10. I would give them more if I could. My dog Blu gives them a solid paws up :)

Andy Jennings has looked after our dogs & cats for well over 20 years - I wouldn't take them anywhere else. He & his team have looked after our pets throughout thick & thin. From routine boosters & medication to trauma & lifesaving operation, even astounding acupuncture treatment years ago when all seemed lost, that gave our precious terrier a further 7 years of fantastic & fun filled life. During each animal's lifetime & as they've come & gone, always too soon, Andy, Catherine & their excellent staff have always cared for our pets in a professional & at the same time personal way. Fantastic health care & advice always given & genuine sadness & compassion at our loss when that inevitable time comes around. The wellbeing of your animal is his life's work & with those fantastic waistcoats giving a distinctive air of James Herriott, this for me at least, has always inspired a confidence & familiarity, which goes a long way in times now where such a personal service can be hard to find. I would have no hesitation in recommending Andy & his team to anyone.

Great service, fantastic vet and vet nurses. The out of hours service is awful and all the way in bradford which is pretty rubbish

Lots of mixed reviews on here. Around 6 weeks ago I contacted the vets and asked can I register my dog Rocky as I thought he had conjunctivitis that he seemed to of had for a fair few weeks. Eye drops etc didn't work. Andy seen to him and gave him an injection and prescribed him with some anti biotics. That cleared up brilliantly. Today I got home from work to find Rocky coated in lumps. I rung the vets and asked if I could bring him down asap. Within 15 minutes I was at the vets and there was a few people waiting but they stopped what they were doing (on the phone etc) and seen to Rocky straight away. Again Andy gave him a injection and I'm now writing this review 6 hours after his injection and it's nearly cleared up. Fantastic service. Can not fault them.
