Alerted me when my dog was rehomed 3 months ago in a difference area turned up at thr vets 3 months later been dumped they were amazing looked after her til I got to collect her

These guys are amazing. My dog and I were attacked recently and they made room in their schedule for an emergency appointment. The vet on call knew exactly what they were doing and after inspecting her wounds said she needed to be referred to their larger practice. By the time I had got there they were expecting me and accepted my pup strait away. Minor operation later she's now back to herself Thank you guys!

I found them very caring when I had to have my poor Tia, a loving Staffordshire terrier put to sleep . They were so kind and gentle with her

This place!! I dont have enough praise for these guys. My dog Frank was in there more then he was out. He loved going here, me not so much. But the love, attention and care he got from every vet he saw there was amazing. It was hard to see him go but knowing he'd been cared for so much by this vets helped heal a little. The receptionist we're also as amazing. Getting him in as soon as possible. I'll always be thankful.

Vet grace came out to my pony yesterday after he had a fall in the field, she gave my pony a very in depth examination the decided to X-ray,finding a fracture to my pony’s pedal bone. Grace spoke through all next steps with my pony we didnt feel rushed. Will certainly be using Grace again. I couldn’t Thankyou enough for the care given to my boy x

For over 30 years I’ve been a client and had numerous of horses cared for along the way by Hirds . Peter is an amazing vet, finding most issues straight away. Tim is amazing and we thank him again for all that time done for our horses. We have our riding school horses cared for the past 17 years and Hirds are professional and caring. We also use Hirds small animal in Halifax town for our other animals. Thank you to every team member as there are so many team members taking part in our horses care. Amazing vets, highly recommend.. Only been using this vets for 3 years after I rescued my dog from her horrible previous owners.. They have been amazing with her.. She makes herself well known at the vets as she's reactive around other dogs (she's had a really horrible life before coming to me so understand why she's the way she is).. Always felt listened to by the vet, always seen the same guy who is ace with her even though she's a little cowbag with him, poor guy he tries his best with her.. The receptionists always end up putting us in our own room to stop my dog barking n lower her distress which I think is really good.. Consultations never felt rushed, always explained in detail then worked out the cost for me after I've agreed to whatever treatment they suggest.. As you can see by the photo attached my frenchie Blossom is looking very happy at the reputation she's gained at the vets after our last visit on 7th June 2023, being shunned into our own room again cause she thought she was harder then 2 dogs double the size of her 🤦‍♀️🙄 #SmallDogSyndrome

The staff at this surgery treat your pet as though it was their own. I have received the most wonderful care for my 5 dogs and 1 cat over the last 8 years and yes I have used 2 other vets previously in Halifax. The receptionists are very helpful and especially good when you are struggling with a poorly animal. I had to have one of my Great danes put to sleep recently after a 3 year battle with epilepsy and wobblers, the staff are amazing and the treatment standards for your pets is outstanding.An update this surgery is the best I have moved 8 miles away and still travel to this surgery all of the staff are outstanding.

I unfortunately had to say goodbye to my four year old cat earlier this year. The staff at West Mount were absolutely fantastic throughout the whole process. Understanding and supportive at every step! I couldn't have asked for a better team to care for Wonder, or to support me and my family through a very difficult time.

Excellent caring service, really prompt appointments, professional service by all the vets. I really feel my dog gets such good care and follow up checks. Clear aftercare and information regarding cost. He recently had a dental appointment and teeth extracted, Ted bounced back immediately after, he was a new pup again. Unfortunately Ted has to have another operation but I feel confident he will recieve the best care. Thank you .

Booked to have my cat seen as she was clearly unwell, despite not being registered I was signed up in minutes and had an appointment within the hour on a Saturday morning. Amazingly compassionate staff at a very difficult time. My pet was handled with care and respect until her final moments. I will trust Donaldsons with all my future pets, thank you.

Donaldsons are fantastic! They are caring, knowledgable professional, people who have always been there when my many rescues have needed them.

Outstanding vets. Have all my animals with them and can honestly say they are the best around. My dog actually likes visiting them and he’s had at least two operations. Just shows you how much they look after and care for them when they have to stay overnight. 10/10. I would give them more if I could. My dog Blu gives them a solid paws up :)

Not many cats enjoy a visit to the Vet' and mine is no exception. However careful and compassionate attention resulted in a stress free visit for annual booster injections. Even the bill was stress free.

Took my puppy here for her first vaccines and definitely made the right decision. Signed up for the vet plan which is such a good idea and so reassuring. Cant thank the staff enough, so lovely to me and offering advise with what I need as an essential as it’s my first puppy. And they all fussed her so she’ll definitely never be scared of the vets!! Lovely people working there!
