I have got to know this wonderful vets over the last few months as the charity I foster cats with use them. I absolutely cannot fault them, whether an injection, check over, microchip or major operation every single member of staff is polite and friendly. They clearly care a lot about animals and treat each pet with compassion and love. No question or query is ever too much trouble for them and they have helped put my mind at rest as a new cat fosterer. When my plan ends with the vet I use for my own cats comes to an end later in the year, I want to move them to LVC as I know they will be in excellent hands.

I've been taking my cat Bertie since August 2022 as a tiny kitten. He's been there on and off every month for one thing and another since that time, this last 8 months have been hard as he was diagnosed with hip displacia, especially this last week! I cannot thank Katherine his main vet and all the team for all their care, and going the extra mile for him and kindness. If I could give more stars šŸŒŸ I would. Massive thank .. you all deserve it

Thank you so much for helping our dog. This is a very clean, welcoming practice. The receptionist was very kind too. Thank you.

Excellent vets with great service from both the vet and admin team. Have been my vet of choice for 3 dogs now stretching back over nearly 20 years. Building is easy to reach, sharing an access road with the car wash, but with dedicated parking and a small grass area at the front. Ramp access to the front door is easy to manage for the mobility impared. Inside is clean, bright and airy, with toilets available and a small waiting area, including an area especially for those with smaller pets that is marked as a dog-free zone. Reception / admin staff are polite and helpful, greeting customers warmly and happy to say hello to pets and try to put them at ease. I've never had to wait more than a minute or two before being called into the examination rooms. All of the vets I've seen are equally nice, friendly and cheerful, and empathic towards the animals they're treating. The examination rooms are 'compact', but big enough for the job at hand, clean and tidy. Whenever I've taken my dogs in, the vet has always taken the time to try and treat them as kindly as possible, making sure there's a little treat to be had for each injection taken or for being poked and prodded - but it's little things like letting the dog take a moment to sniff the stethescope before they're checked over that I think makes going to the vet a non-traumatic experience for them. Vets have always been happy to discuss treatment options with me and make recommendations for their care, and the prices seem fair and reasonable in my experience. Strongly recommend.

Always amazing with our Bailey who's a 14 week old miniature dachshund. He doesn't get nervous visiting and they always take good care of him every time we visit! Always quick to see you and easy enough to book appointments. Managed to get one this morning by calling up at 8.30am to see if there were any appointments. Managed to get one at 10am which was amazing. Poor Bailey's anal glands were full and needed to be expressed but the vets took very good care of him.

Vets for Pets - Leeds Colton

Colton Retail Centre, Selby Rd, Colton, Leeds LS15 9JB, UK | Veterinary Care
P: 0113 390 9093

Rating: 4.8 (408) Price Level:

Have taken a couple of kittens here to be neutered and unfortunately our eldest cat go to sleep. The receptionists and vets are absolutely fantastic. They make sure your checked in and seated in the right area and the vets are told your there. The waiting are is always spotlessly clean and if any pets have an accident it's instantly cleaned up and disinfected. The vets are caring and not just there to make money like I have experienced at other vets where they want you to throw money at them to keep a animal going. When our elderly cat had had a diagnosis they were honest and up front and explained everything perfectly which was great for my elderly mother (no wasn't getting her euthanized yet) so I didn't have to explain it to her. The receptionist made sure we were looked after and we were shown to a low lit room with a nice fluffy blanket for our cat. After it was complete we were given a card with a collection of paw prints. This made a sad time easier. Other vets can charge Ā£15 and over for print. If you want a place to take your loved fur / non fur babies to be cured , fixed etc then go here as the service is second to none.

I have my own doggy daycare and boarding business and every time I have had to use this practice I have been impressed with all of the staff. My own dog has had to come a lot recently and the nurses are lovely with him. They are always so friendly and helpful, both on the phone and in person. The vet David is excellent! He always goes out of his way to explain everything clearly, and I have complete faith in him, which is not something I have ever been able to say about any other vet. He is the right combination of friendly and professional, and I think that is so important when you are an owner, and trusting your pet into the care of someone. When he operated on my dog Bruno recently, the wound healed really well, so clearly he's a good surgeon as well! Bruno and I actually look forward to our visits to the vets now, which is amazing. A vets practice is only ever as good as it's staff, and they are fantastic here.

Iā€™ve had a great experience today for my first visit to Vets4Pets. I phoned up prior to discuss costs and the monthly plan, and Emily was so helpful. She was very informative and was very patient with all of my questions and queries. Upon my visit I saw Emily and again she was extremely informative and very nice to talk to. The Vet I saw (Iā€™m not sure what his name is but he was young) was very nice, polite, gentle with my kitten and really informative again. A brilliant experience for me and my kitten, both as newbies to Vets!

Been dealing with Oakwood Veterinary since 2001, never been disappointed. Dr. Kothari is very professional and very straightforward. He did a major surgery on my Husky in 2016 with which I was very satisfied. Very kind and very reasonably priced. I would recommend them to everyone if they're looking for a professional and reasonable veterinary help.

We always have a wonderful experience when visiting the vet and we have to come once a month for our cat's injections. You can tell that the vet really cares about animals and the well being of them. He is highly knowledgeable and only prescribes what is really necessary. I wouldn't go to any other vet after bringing our cat to him.

Weā€™ve been with Oakwood Vets for well over 15 years and they looked after both our cats that have now sadly passed away. We have nothing but praise for the team. Our cats received expert care for many years and we cannot thank them enough for the compassion shown when our eldest cat passed away earlier this year. I have recommended Oakwood Vets to others and will continue to do so.

Our beautiful Puka has been spayed in Oakwood veterinary surgery. I think it was the best decision we made to bring her exactly to this vet clinic and we was travelling from ls12 area because clinic was recommended to me. I was impressed with that care what they was given to each animal there. Thank you to Oakwood Team for this great experience I felt calm from surgery day to our recovery period at home .

Our beloved old timer, Sylvester - a gentle, loving and stoic 18 year old cat sadly passed last month. There was no question that it should be a home visit, his last moments were free of stress and where he wanted to be. I'm grateful that Jess provides this service, as the practice he had been with for 18 years didn't. It was all arranged with care and consideration of the limited time we had and Jess was professional, caring and kind to us all - including the thoughtful card that came after. Heartfelt thank you from us.

I contacted Jess after becoming disillusioned by our local vet practice who seemed to focused on financial gain rather than the animal. Jess is professional, friendly and caring. The fact that she visits our home she can see our dogs in their natural state, nice and calm and happy. Jess immediately understood the situation with our OAP Jack Russell and has provided brilliant advice based upon our dogsā€™ best interests, focusing on ensuring he has the best quality of life possible for whatever time he has left. I am so relieved that Jess will be with us for his last chapter and for our other pets, hopefully, for many years to come.

A huge thank you to Jess and Lynne. I contacted Jess very last minute when my elderly cat, Polly, became very unwell and we knew it was time to put her to sleep. She was so helpful and amenable and re-arranged some plans so she could come round that day. Both Jess and Lynne were so kind and compassionate and helped ease my nerves and listened to the circumstances surrounded Polly and her nervousness. They were both just so lovely and I highly recommend them. They will offer support and advice along with care and love at those difficult moments.

She has been so compassionate, a good listener and we really appreciated her expertise in helping us make some difficult decisions. It brought much comfort that Annieā€™s ending was carried out with such compassion and care and in the comfort of her own home where she felt safe and loved.

My number one choice for pet care. The surgery is always clean bright and welcoming nothing is too much trouble for all the staff. I particularly like the separation of waiting area for cats and dogs - which shows they care how their clients are waiting without getting stressed. My Howie is extremely vocal even without seeing any other animals. All the vets are happy to answer questions & nothing is too much trouble. They care about our pets as if they belonged to them.. And thatā€™s a big plus for me. Wouldnā€™t go anywhere else, 100% pet friendly & good price point. Also situated in an accessible area with available free parking. Thanks to all at Westwood

Canā€™t recommend this vet enough. After using beechwood vets which were a total rip off and unfriendly staff we moved my dog to this vets from a recommendation. My dog is very anxious about attending the vets and the vets and staff here are very friendly and have the animals best interests at heart. We took my dog as he had a lump on his chin the vet took a look at it and said it was likely a piece of bone that had grown out and there was no point doing a biopsy as with my dog been anxious he would need sedating- many vets would have said to do the biopsy to get extra money! The best part of all the vets didnā€™t even charge us for this consultation! That is how you know the vets are good and caring about animals and not out to rip you off!

This is purely the best vets in town. They look after my elderly rag doll Valentino, who had a bad experience at a previous vets. They go the extra mile for him and have kept notes even down to scent cats love and are sure to have it on there hands when they see him. They are so caring and patient with him. I have also just adapted a dog that I found dancing in the traffic, they helped me with checking him over and what to do. They now have him on their records and have welcomed him with open arms that he loves to see them. He is all chipped vaccinated n ready to love life. Thank you all at Westwood Vets, Garforth. Used this vets for years having dogs . Now having lost my last dogs due to old age, now have a cat 17 years old and becoming concerning. The lady vet we saw was absolutely spot on . Listened and discussed the problem which was heartwarming. The lady in question was called iris and was one of the best we have ever seen. Could have gone down the road of blood tests and xrays but at 17 years old is too much. Cats have 9 lives, maybe he's on his ninth.

My cat knows his own mind, and he knows that he DOESNā€™T like vets. Heā€™s been very roughly treated in the past by other practices - pinned down, scuffed, wrapped in towels like a burrito by nurses and he fought like a bear - he remembers! It wasnā€™t like that last night at Abbey House Kippax. Yes, he was nervous, he hissed and grumbled but he was spoken to kindly, stroked and cajoled throughout by the lovely vet. I was explained her thought processes throughout, possible diagnoses, meds, tests, etc and when heā€™d had enough - it was quickly back in the box ā€˜so we donā€™t upset himā€™. A relatively painless procedure. He returns next week. Iā€™d highly recommend Abbey House Kippax.

Rushed my cat for emergency and have been seen as soon as we arrived. I was welcomed by friendly staff and vet was taking seriously her condition. They have good equipment in place for closer check up and could target on time abdominal leak which was deadly to my cat and emergency surgery was successfully performed. After 3 weeks she is recovered well and scar is healing well. I will be forever grateful to surgeon and team taking good care of my cat and for keeping me informed. People here truly care about pets and my catā€™s behaviour shows she was comfortable being there when before she had big stress going to vets. She has been diagnosed with lymphoma and unfortunately our journey will continue with Cancer Care for pets in Huddersfield. I was offered the treatment here, but must to admit price was rock high, however, referral was made same day when requested. I trust this place and would recommend to others.

Popped in a spoke to them about our Nervous and Reactive Mali. He'd had a very bad experience at another vets while quite young which makes regular boosters etc difficult. Got to say that the vet and vet nursing staff were fantastic with him. Spending time to put him at ease. Even treating him in an open area rather than the confines of a consultation room. Very positive experience for both him and us.
