Called ahead as I wanted to register my shynx'. The receptionist was really knowledgeable, and registration was easy. Cats were really calm with the male vet, who was great and allayed any concerns I had about spay/neuter for this breed.

Thank you so much to Zack for picking up on Baby’s heart murmur after two vets missed it!! (Not Donaldson’s). Somerset Road were also brilliant and my little boy is home and fine. ❤️ Donaldson’s may not be the cheapest but the vets are brilliant and I completely trust them with all 3 of my babies. Absolutely brilliant vets! I’ve transferred from abbey to here as they are just fantastic! My fur baby was expecting puppy’s and I had a few questions that they didn’t hesitate to answer! And then I brought the pups here at 3 days old to have tails docked and they was brilliant from start to finish! Where back again soon for the pups to have vacs and microchips and I know they’re all in good hands! Thank you so much! Couldn’t recommend this vets enough!

What a fantastic service from start to finish. After being let down, so badly, by our now previous vets, Dr Gabor stepped in and looked after our fur baby. He was kind, clear and extremely thoughtful in his actions with our dog Bella. We cannot recommend the service of all staff enough. This will be our go to vets from now on. Thank you ☺️

Highly recommend this vet practice. My puppy was registered here by my sister when born. Since coming to her forever home I decided to stay with the practice that knew her. Even though we don’t live in the area. The staff are very friendly and caring. When appointments have been needed they’ve accommodated me quickly. The practice is very clean and Fairly priced.

UPDATE: 01 Oct 2024. This is a very difficult thing for me to write. But I wanted to publicly thank My Home Vets, Olivia and Maaike for showing absolute empathy with our cat Mambrú. Unfortunately, two weeks ago, Mambrú suddenly started having seizures out of nowhere. In the morning she ate her breakfast normally and 20 minutes later when she was sleeping, she had some kind of hallucinations and then a seizure. She had asked me to cover her up and I put a freshly washed blanket on her that had a strong smell of detergent so I thought that was the reason. The rest of the day went by normally, until 1:30 in the morning, when Mambrú had another seizure. I didn't know what to do because I couldn't call My Home Vets because of the time, however, I requested an appointment through the questionnaire on their website and explained the situation to them. Unfortunately, Mambrú had another seizure an hour later so we had to take her to the nearest veterinary hospital for emergency care. My Home Vet contacted me very early in the morning telling me that they could give me a priority appointment for that same day around 9:00am. I thanked them and explained that we had to take the kitten to another veterinary center. Oliva asked me to keep her updated. After that, our precious kitty got worse so we had to make the hard decision to euthanize her. I don't know how I found the strength but I contacted My Home Vet to let them know that Mambrú was not going to need them anymore. After that, something totally unexpected happened for me. I received a beautiful hand-written condolence card in the mail with some seeds. I honestly didn't expect this. THANK YOU, THANK YOU so much Olivia and Maaike. You have no idea how much that gesture of empathy meant to us. Knowing that Mambrú was not just a number to you and that you actually care about your furry patients, only shows the great quality of human beings that you are. Once again, I 100% recommend My Home Vet as the best veterinarians in the area. Be completely assured that your furry children will be in the best hands. Thank you forever. Mambrú and her human parents. --o0o-- Dec 2021:The best service we have ever had! We were users of Pets at Home veterinarians in Huddersfield and these days we call to book an appointment for the annual vaccination of our 16-year-old cat Mambrú. Pets at Home told us that there was a national shortage of vaccines and that we could only have the appointment for the month of February 2022. We worry because the vaccines expired on December the 23th of 2021 and our kitten is a foreign kitten, therefore, maintaining the vaccination on time is one of the requirements to enter and leave any country. We decided to search online for other vets and luckily we came across My Home Vet. We called yesterday (Wednesday) and they gave us the appointment for today Friday. Incredible! We are very grateful, since they came to our house (very punctual by the way), vaccinated our kitten, weighed her, checked her teeth, and her heart. The appointment was extremely fast (I think no more than 10 minutes) I would have liked to talk a little more hahaha, but considering the COVID situation and how exposed they are going house to house, it seems very sensible. Thank you very much Maaike and Olivia! We were able to pay for the service by card without using cash, they gave me the payment receipt and even sent me the invoice by email. More cannot be asked! Companion Care Vets just lost a customer.

My dog need his annual boosters, and due to my disability I’m unable to drive. This service was so less stressful than trying to get him in a taxi to the local vets, for his injections. Two lovely ladies came and did them, and he was so chilled out and happy. They were very respectful and friendly. Would strongly recommend them, and would always be my go to vet for him now. Great service and glad I came across them.

Highly recommend My Home Vet. They came to my house to put my elderly cat to sleep. I was absolutely dreading it but they were so lovely and really put my mind at ease. They explained everything that would happen and reassured my my cat would feel no pain. The whole procedure was over quickly and I take great comfort in knowing that my darling cat went to sleep on his favourite rug in the living room, surrounded by his family. I honestly couldn't recommend them more, thank you so much for making such an upsetting time as peaceful and lovely as it could have been.

Many thanks to the 2 ladies who came to our home and made Molly's passing such a peaceful event and for showing the compassion that our local vet had sadly not been able to show. The fact that after 15 years plus our beloved little dog was able to leave this world with some dignity, in her own home, accompanied by people who loved her made a difficult time a much less upsetting event than it would otherwise have been. Excellent vets with great service from both the vet and admin team. Have been my vet of choice for 3 dogs now stretching back over nearly 20 years. Building is easy to reach, sharing an access road with the car wash, but with dedicated parking and a small grass area at the front. Ramp access to the front door is easy to manage for the mobility impared. Inside is clean, bright and airy, with toilets available and a small waiting area, including an area especially for those with smaller pets that is marked as a dog-free zone. Reception / admin staff are polite and helpful, greeting customers warmly and happy to say hello to pets and try to put them at ease. I've never had to wait more than a minute or two before being called into the examination rooms. All of the vets I've seen are equally nice, friendly and cheerful, and empathic towards the animals they're treating. The examination rooms are 'compact', but big enough for the job at hand, clean and tidy. Whenever I've taken my dogs in, the vet has always taken the time to try and treat them as kindly as possible, making sure there's a little treat to be had for each injection taken or for being poked and prodded - but it's little things like letting the dog take a moment to sniff the stethescope before they're checked over that I think makes going to the vet a non-traumatic experience for them. Vets have always been happy to discuss treatment options with me and make recommendations for their care, and the prices seem fair and reasonable in my experience. Strongly recommend.

A great experience for my first time at the vets with my kitten. The reception staff were warm and welcoming and the vet was super nice and friendly she handled my kitten very well who was very sassy and naughty. All in all a great place and super easy and convenient.

Always amazing with our Bailey who's a 14 week old miniature dachshund. He doesn't get nervous visiting and they always take good care of him every time we visit! Always quick to see you and easy enough to book appointments. Managed to get one this morning by calling up at 8.30am to see if there were any appointments. Managed to get one at 10am which was amazing. Poor Bailey's anal glands were full and needed to be expressed but the vets took very good care of him.

I visited Calder vets in Mirfield today for my bunny. The service provided by the veterinarian and receptionist were amazing. My rabbit was treated by Iwona who was so kind and helpful, and I could clearly see she cared about peaches (my bunny). Amazing service I couldn’t be more satisfied x

The vet that as just seen my dog Alfie was fantastic she cares and was so informative and understanding I would definitely recommend calder vets at Denby Dale. No waiting, appointment on time and receptionist was polite and friendly. Overall I felt confident with the service and my dog was in good hands. Unfortunately I had to have Alfie put to sleep I cannot thank the vet and staff enough for all the care and support given to us. I now go to the same vet with my dog Peggy who Unfortunately became a diabetic and again I cannot say enough about the vet and staff that have been fantastic in all her care needs I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Always feel so welcome at this Vets. All the staff are super friendly, compassionate and helpful. Micky (or Nicky?) is always super helpful and friendly on the phone and when you go in, as is Steph. All the vets I see also always very loving towards my cats. I know cats can be sassy little things but mine are such cuddle bears that the vets always pinch a cuddle and say how friendly they are. Always manage to get the right diagnosis and gets them better. Could recommend them enough. Thanks as always :)

Rushed my cat for emergency and have been seen as soon as we arrived. I was welcomed by friendly staff and vet was taking seriously her condition. They have good equipment in place for closer check up and could target on time abdominal leak which was deadly to my cat and emergency surgery was successfully performed. After 3 weeks she is recovered well and scar is healing well. I will be forever grateful to surgeon and team taking good care of my cat and for keeping me informed. People here truly care about pets and my cat’s behaviour shows she was comfortable being there when before she had big stress going to vets. She has been diagnosed with lymphoma and unfortunately our journey will continue with Cancer Care for pets in Huddersfield. I was offered the treatment here, but must to admit price was rock high, however, referral was made same day when requested. I trust this place and would recommend to others.

So we bought a dwarf Syrian hamster. Got everything there, cage, wood shavings, food, toys, the cage is big and was only £40, way cheaper than the big online stores.

We lost our little staffy 'Stella' in August. Even though it was busy, the reception staff were absolutely brilliant. I personally want to thank the vet who looked after Stella and the family that day. Truly passionate about her work, cared for us (the owners), and a true support through one of the worst days of my life. Thank you all. We will forever be greatfull 👍

Can’t recommend enough, the vets/nurses and reception staff genuinely care about your pet and you. My pup needed emergency wound care and she was loved like she was their own. I love this vet practise - i’ve had some negative experiences elsewhere, but Churchfield are always spot on. We have multiple pets and they are all treated with the same kindness and enthusiasm, no matter which member of staff we see. The communication is excellent and the practise just has a really good energy!

Churchfield vets are one of the longer operating and trusting vets in Barnsley. The veterinary nurses are always thorough, patient, and knowledgeable. The prices aren't the cheapest, but they have different pet plans that can be beneficial. Tip! If parking outside the vets, nip in and ask for a temporary parking permit from the reception to save having to pay at the ticket machine. The traffic wardens patrol the area, too.

Excellent service. I took my kitten in for neutering and I was felt at such ease. Reception staff were incredible, as well as the nurses and vet. I was felt knowing my cat was in great hands. They showed love to my cat (marshmallow) and it made me feel at great ease knowing she is with people who genuinely care about her. Aftercare was explained really well and I’ve had 3 other cats neutered elsewhere but it was the first time I’ve seen such clean results. My kitten was up and about within hours and felt great and I know this is down to the excellent service she’s received. If there is anyone to register your pets with I’d highly recommend Caldervets.

The vets at calder are always helpful and polite. The only thing that let's them down slightly is the consultation price. £52 for a 5 minute appointment. 9/10

Moved to Calder Vets from another practice after being unhappy with the service there. I couldn’t be more pleased that I chose this practice and have been treated in an extremely friendly and professional manner since day one. The care and attention to detail has been second to none. Our cat is very relaxed and comfortable with the team and their passion for their profession really stands out.

Can't say a bad word about Calder Vets Waterloo. The team are amazing and they always go above and beyond to help us with our two dogs 🐾 Our youngest dog has to visit the vets every two weeks and she gets to see her favourite Fran 🥰 She absolutely loves seeing Fran and gets so excited to see her. Fran is amazing with her and after surgery and visiting every 2 weeks she always runs to Fran with her tail wagging and little bum wiggle! Our oldest dog isn't the biggest fan of vets but this is nothing to do with Calder Vets it's just the fact she's a princess. She still loves seeing Fran and the team. Also a big mention to Louise on reception as she again is amazing when we attend or call to make our numerous appointments. The whole team are great and nothing is ever too much for them.
