Always feel so welcome at this Vets. All the staff are super friendly, compassionate and helpful. Micky (or Nicky?) is always super helpful and friendly on the phone and when you go in, as is Steph. All the vets I see also always very loving towards my cats. I know cats can be sassy little things but mine are such cuddle bears that the vets always pinch a cuddle and say how friendly they are. Always manage to get the right diagnosis and gets them better. Could recommend them enough. Thanks as always :)

Fantastic, friendly and caring team at Denby Dale and feel the same about their Penistone practice on the occasions we've had to visit there. Always met with a friendly face and they have always provided a calm and welcoming environment for my past and present furbabies. Great team.

The vet was training also on our visit and simply could not have been more professional towards us and our dogs check up and subsequent booster. Excellent service and was talking to the trainee at every part of the examination too. Very professional.

Great vet surgery. Reception staff are amazing, friendly and always make you feel welcome. The vet Alison that I’ve seen the last couple of times is fantastic, she’s great with my cat George, always explains things in detail and genuinely cares. Couldn’t ask for a better service, all the staff there are brilliant.

I called to book an appointment for our dog Stan. He needed to be vaccinated as he will be going into kennels in March. The staff couldn't be more helpful in booking an early appointment and explaining the process. When I went to the vets our dog was very scared. Both the staff & the vet did a great job at calming him down. Great vets, great people and a very good experience. Thank you 😁

Absolutely heartbroken at having to put our boy, Buddy the cat, to sleep but from first consultation to sending him off the service was wonderful. The first vet we saw, John, gave a thorough examination with great care and gave us a diagnosis we could understand, unfortunately, Buddy just deteriorated after that and we made the painful decision to stop his suffering. The second vet we saw, Kate, was more like a bereavement counsellor than vet she was so sympathetic. We were there for 50 minutes whilst we were given a full explanation of procedure and time with Buddy before he went. My wife and I cannot praise them enough and highly recommend them to any concerned pet owners.

I have been visiting Shipley and Idle Vets since I moved to the area in 2019, with my three indoor cats, and I've recently taken my 9 week old puppy for his first visit. They are so friendly and professional, putting me and my animals at ease. The welcome at reception is warm and they always make sure that any animals in the waiting area are OK together - they are very aware of the temperaments of the animals. On one visit they suggested I move my cats briefly into another room while a large, excitable dog left the vets room and left the building. Any of the vets I've seen have been great with all my animals and I never feel rushed, even when I'm asking lots of questions. I can't recommend them highly enough.

After waking up to find my 23 year old African Grey very weak and in respiratory distress I rang round trying to find an emergency avian vet appointment. After being advised he needed to go into hospital we made the trip to Holly House. Everybody was amazing, explaining everything, keeping us informed about his progress and the cost at all times. I was happy he was in good hands. He made a rapid recovery and I would like to thank everyone for taking care of him.

The staff do an amazing job, I took a Woodcock in that flaw into the side of a building, sadly the bird didn't make it due to it's injury, but the staff we're amazing and do an amazing job looking after animals, thank you

My dog Wally was very poorly and we almost lost him with a pneumonia and stomach issue. These are the best vets I've ever been to. Communication was clear/objective, and the caring is in the little things they did, like a nurse running to Tesco to get tuna to get him to eat at least something. Shout out to Francisco, Jenny, Katrina, Cathy, Tom, Dan and the ones I didn't get the name of. Everyone was outstanding.

We recently took my mum’s beloved cat to Holly House Vets, and we are so grateful for the kindness and compassion they showed us. The team was gentle, understanding, and treated our cat with such care and respect. They created a calm and peaceful environment, ensuring her final moments were handled with dignity and love. Thank you for your incredible support and thoughtfulness—it truly meant so much my mum. You have an incredible team!

Have been using Two Counties Vets for our cats for a number of years. Just recently we sadly had to have one of our cats put down, the second in two years. Had no hesitation in going to Two Counties Vets as they were so good on the previous occasion. All the staff are very helpful and sympathetic and both times the vets eased me through a very sad time with genuine understanding. We even received a hand written card of condolence from the staff. Thoroughly recommended.

On Friday the 1st of November I took my cat Celly to Two Counties Vets after getting appointment by ringing at 8am. Celly had been poorly for sometime and was getting worse. That morning I saw vet Dewi who was very understanding and patient answering and explaining all my questions. He also gave me time to ring my son to make a decision about Celly. When I went back I said that I thought it was best to let Celly go and could he do it while I was there. He said yes but would do thing’s between his other patients. He took me to a room on my own with her to have a quiet time. Throughout all this Dewi was kind, patient, sympathetic and understanding, explaining what he was going to do at all times. Also the nurse who helped him was lovely and laid Celly out beautifully when it was all over. Thank you to all concerned, not forgetting the lovely reception staff. I haven’t been with them very long but would highly recommend them to anyone.

I lost my baby, (Venus) Had to put him to sleep after 16 years. The vet (Dewi) he was so patient and kind he allowed us the room for some time with our baby. Let him eat tuna and cheese made a huge mess! They were perfectly kind and gentle and never got agitated with us. I BROKE DOWN once he told me how sick my baby was. I ran out and broke on the floor and Dewi came outside and sat on the floor with me and was very kind and direct at the same time. Which I appreciated. The break down of what was going is what I needed to get my head around it. As i couldn't take it in. They left us the room while we waited for my partner to get our son from school and spend more timeas i wasn't ready to let him go. I didn't dream i would take him and lose him not a couple hours later and go home without him Its the worst I've ever felt that day was unbelievably hard and sad it hurt me bad (still does) and Dewi was incredible. They were all very gentle and caring with my Venus. They gently shaved some fur so i could keep it and made some cat paw prints from ink and paper it was just what i needed as i couldn't even think! They covered everything and covered every thought for me because my brain wasn't registering. I would have been heartbroken later if i went home without his fur and paw prints when it clicked in my mind after the shock was over. The lady was so lovely she made 6 envelopes with his fur and prints all labeled. I dont have enough words to explain all this as so many emotions still running round my heart. But I am truly grateful for all they did. This man is in the right job and knows what he's talking about. Thank you. And sorry for how hard work I was. Thank you for understanding. I loved my baby so much. Best 16 years I could have asked for. ❤️ Venus 15/09/2023

Lovely friendly welcoming staff, very caring. They go above and beyond. They invited myself and Ted to just pop in for a chat and a treat, to help Ted familiarise himself so that he won't feel anxious when he has to come to see the vet.

I’ve had dealings with this practice for many years - and always been treated with courtesy and professionalism. My latest trip was yesterday after my collie Tara frightened the life out of me with a nasty turn. The young vet was so kind and reassuring and the receptionist was particularly friendly and welcoming. Thanks to the whole team

Booked to have my cat seen as she was clearly unwell, despite not being registered I was signed up in minutes and had an appointment within the hour on a Saturday morning. Amazingly compassionate staff at a very difficult time. My pet was handled with care and respect until her final moments. I will trust Donaldsons with all my future pets, thank you.

Outstanding vets. Have all my animals with them and can honestly say they are the best around. My dog actually likes visiting them and he’s had at least two operations. Just shows you how much they look after and care for them when they have to stay overnight. 10/10. I would give them more if I could. My dog Blu gives them a solid paws up :)

Excellent caring service, really prompt appointments, professional service by all the vets. I really feel my dog gets such good care and follow up checks. Clear aftercare and information regarding cost. He recently had a dental appointment and teeth extracted, Ted bounced back immediately after, he was a new pup again. Unfortunately Ted has to have another operation but I feel confident he will recieve the best care. Thank you .

Donaldsons are fantastic! They are caring, knowledgable professional, people who have always been there when my many rescues have needed them.

Nick and the team have been fantastic with our dog, who wasn't always the easiest patient 🤣. We were seen quickly when needed and Nick went above and beyond trying to find a diagnosis and meet our dogs complex needs. At the end, he was treated with much compassion and kindness.

When we lived in Selby we used the Dam Vets. The staff are so friendly and professional and our dog Teddy received excellent care. The price was reasonable for services too. Would recommend to anyone local to the Selby area.

Excellent service. I took my kitten in for neutering and I was felt at such ease. Reception staff were incredible, as well as the nurses and vet. I was felt knowing my cat was in great hands. They showed love to my cat (marshmallow) and it made me feel at great ease knowing she is with people who genuinely care about her. Aftercare was explained really well and I’ve had 3 other cats neutered elsewhere but it was the first time I’ve seen such clean results. My kitten was up and about within hours and felt great and I know this is down to the excellent service she’s received. If there is anyone to register your pets with I’d highly recommend Caldervets.

Excellent veterinary practice. Better than one I can name. These actually care about the animals and listen to the owners concerns. Receptionists are always polite and helpful. The vets at calder are always helpful and polite. The only thing that let's them down slightly is the consultation price. £52 for a 5 minute appointment. 9/10

Moved to Calder Vets from another practice after being unhappy with the service there. I couldn’t be more pleased that I chose this practice and have been treated in an extremely friendly and professional manner since day one. The care and attention to detail has been second to none. Our cat is very relaxed and comfortable with the team and their passion for their profession really stands out.

Can't say a bad word about Calder Vets Waterloo. The team are amazing and they always go above and beyond to help us with our two dogs 🐾 Our youngest dog has to visit the vets every two weeks and she gets to see her favourite Fran 🥰 She absolutely loves seeing Fran and gets so excited to see her. Fran is amazing with her and after surgery and visiting every 2 weeks she always runs to Fran with her tail wagging and little bum wiggle! Our oldest dog isn't the biggest fan of vets but this is nothing to do with Calder Vets it's just the fact she's a princess. She still loves seeing Fran and the team. Also a big mention to Louise on reception as she again is amazing when we attend or call to make our numerous appointments. The whole team are great and nothing is ever too much for them.

The vet was great with my anxious cat, who can become aggressive during consultations. He switched rooms to create a calming environment for him away from external noises.

My usual vet unless my pet needs anything serious and then it's off to Calder Vets in Dewsbury. The expansion has done the place a lot of good and now they have specific waiting areas for cats away from other pets where they can be more relaxed. Knowledgeable and friendly staff and never had a bad experience there.

Friendly staff. Very efficient. Caring and knowledgeable vets. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend.
