Been using this surgery from the day it opened. The staff in the reception are brilliant, always pleasant and helpful, nothing is a problem for them. Also the Vets are very good, they are kind and care about your pets, they explain everything to you about your pets illness and do everything they can to help. I can recommend them to anyone needing treatment for there pets

Palmer and Duncan vets have always been very efficient and informative in dealing with our dog Willow a working stock retriever and Sooty and Mittens the young cats. Mittens they saved when she had emergency major surgery after she swallowed a length of sewing cotton that got stuck in her gut. All the staff are very friendly and bubbly. When your pet needs extra care they were good to refer to another practitioner. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

After a bad experience with a large veterinary practice we decided our next pet would be cared for by a smaller more personal team. So far we feel more at home with Palmer and Duncan. Angus isn't as impressed as us!

The staff at this veterinary practice have been fantastic, not in only caring for my dogs, but ensuing a dignified and peaceful end to one of my dogs life. The showed compassion, empathy and love for both myself and my dog in her last moments. I will be forever grateful to them, thank you does not cut it.

My beloved dog, Max, was only registered at Palmer and Duncan a short time before we had to say goodbye to him on Friday evening, but the patience, care and compassion shown by all staff we met during that time was outstanding. Thank you so much for making such a difficult time that little bit easier for us. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone in Ossett with a pet.

A great experience for my first time at the vets with my kitten. The reception staff were warm and welcoming and the vet was super nice and friendly she handled my kitten very well who was very sassy and naughty. All in all a great place and super easy and convenient.

Always amazing with our Bailey who's a 14 week old miniature dachshund. He doesn't get nervous visiting and they always take good care of him every time we visit! Always quick to see you and easy enough to book appointments. Managed to get one this morning by calling up at 8.30am to see if there were any appointments. Managed to get one at 10am which was amazing. Poor Bailey's anal glands were full and needed to be expressed but the vets took very good care of him.

Excellent vets with great service from both the vet and admin team. Have been my vet of choice for 3 dogs now stretching back over nearly 20 years. Building is easy to reach, sharing an access road with the car wash, but with dedicated parking and a small grass area at the front. Ramp access to the front door is easy to manage for the mobility impared. Inside is clean, bright and airy, with toilets available and a small waiting area, including an area especially for those with smaller pets that is marked as a dog-free zone. Reception / admin staff are polite and helpful, greeting customers warmly and happy to say hello to pets and try to put them at ease. I've never had to wait more than a minute or two before being called into the examination rooms. All of the vets I've seen are equally nice, friendly and cheerful, and empathic towards the animals they're treating. The examination rooms are 'compact', but big enough for the job at hand, clean and tidy. Whenever I've taken my dogs in, the vet has always taken the time to try and treat them as kindly as possible, making sure there's a little treat to be had for each injection taken or for being poked and prodded - but it's little things like letting the dog take a moment to sniff the stethescope before they're checked over that I think makes going to the vet a non-traumatic experience for them. Vets have always been happy to discuss treatment options with me and make recommendations for their care, and the prices seem fair and reasonable in my experience. Strongly recommend.

Sad occasion. Our 15 year old cat had to go to sleep. The practice staff were very sympathetic and understanding as they have always been over the years we have been coming here. Would recommend 100 per cent!

I visited this vets yesterday with my new kitten Rodger, the reception team were very lovely and friendly which made us feel super welcome. The interior of the vets was clean and fresh. Also the vet we saw was so lovely with him and gave him lots of love! 100% recommend this vets and so glad we chose this practice

These guys have been absolutely amazing. My girl was spayed and then got quite poorly, I thought I was going to lose her. They quickly got her in and looked after her. She’s now the loving fetch & catch playing 10 month old kitten she was. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ♥️

We had to say goodbye to our beautiful Scooby 2 weeks ago. He had a terminal heart condition and we had to make the hard decision to let him go. He was terrified of the vet so I always knew he would be more comfortable at home. Alex was wonderful. Caring, patient and made the process as gentle as possible for him so Scooby could have a peaceful death at home without stress. Thank you Alex 🤍

I echo my recommendation on the FaceBook page but Alex is a true credit to his profession, he provided excellent care to our cat at the end of his life and let him slip away at home in comfort and in peace. He showed genuine care and empathy with us as both me and my wife were distraught and was professional throughout.

We had to say goodbye to our beautiful Border Collie Meg this morning. We are all heart-broken and it was the hardest decision we've ever had to make. I want to thank Alex so much for the professional and compassionate care that he demonstrated. At all times Alex helped us through the process and made Meg's last moments peaceful and comfortable, in her own bed, surrounded by her family. Thank you so much Alex, and sleep well our beautiful girl.

I'd just had a bad experience with another vet practice (not in Otley). I was nervous about trying another after moving, but I couldn't have felt more reassured. The staff were so lovely! I wasn't rushed, the vet went out of their way to make my cat feel comfortable, and gave me lots of great advice. So grateful to have such caring, professional and reasonably priced vet practice nearby who truly put animals before all else. Can't recommend them enough.

I absolutely love this vet. It's independent and works with the owner to care for their ill animal. It's not just about money. The vets are very nice and the receptionist always books me in very quickly. She also deals with me freaking out over email quite a few times (sorry but thank you). I really love this little vet practice. It's how all vets should be run.

I couldn't ask for a better , more thorough vet than Emily Legate. The surgery is amazing and the staff are highly knowledgeable and very reasonably priced which is an added bonus but ultimately I use this veterinary surgery because I had a years worth of unsolved issues with my prescious boys ear, in one visit we had swabs taken then discovered he had a deformed ear canal in the offending ear , then he was booked in swiftly for an ear flush under anesthetic, Emily filmed the ear canal and debris in it ,for me to better understand the situation with his ear. I can't praise these guys enough and they have my recommendation to any one who wants caring, thorough up to date and highly trained veterinary care . It's a big thumbs up from me and Roman dog. I wish I could put 10 stars !!

The best vets all the family has had the pleasure of using. The prices are very reasonable, ample parking at the side/rear of the surgery. Appointments can be booked in advance and also given same day or within a day or two upon phoning. We have over the years had to use the out of hours service for the dogs and we are always impressed with the high quality of service provided. We are always kept informed if any of the animals have to stop overnight or have been in for day surgery. We would not take our animals anywhere other than cross green vets !

Following the heartbreaking decision we had to make to help our beautiful (almost) 14 year old boy Axel go to permanent sleep, I can’t thank Sarah and Danielle enough for their lovely, caring nature, on what was a truly sad and devastating day... Their calmness and explanation of the whole process and what to expect, helped prepare us for Axel’s final journey. He hated going to the vets, so we wanted him to be at home, in calm and familiar, stress-free surroundings. He passed away peacefully and with dignity, laying in his favourite spot in the garden in the sunshine, getting the head and ear tickles he loved so much and surrounded by the people who loved him most. We really couldn’t have asked for a better send off for Axel 🌈🐶💙 Thank you for making such an emotionally difficult time that bit easier to bear 🙏🏼

My dog need his annual boosters, and due to my disability I’m unable to drive. This service was so less stressful than trying to get him in a taxi to the local vets, for his injections. Two lovely ladies came and did them, and he was so chilled out and happy. They were very respectful and friendly. Would strongly recommend them, and would always be my go to vet for him now. Great service and glad I came across them.

UPDATE: 01 Oct 2024. This is a very difficult thing for me to write. But I wanted to publicly thank My Home Vets, Olivia and Maaike for showing absolute empathy with our cat Mambrú. Unfortunately, two weeks ago, Mambrú suddenly started having seizures out of nowhere. In the morning she ate her breakfast normally and 20 minutes later when she was sleeping, she had some kind of hallucinations and then a seizure. She had asked me to cover her up and I put a freshly washed blanket on her that had a strong smell of detergent so I thought that was the reason. The rest of the day went by normally, until 1:30 in the morning, when Mambrú had another seizure. I didn't know what to do because I couldn't call My Home Vets because of the time, however, I requested an appointment through the questionnaire on their website and explained the situation to them. Unfortunately, Mambrú had another seizure an hour later so we had to take her to the nearest veterinary hospital for emergency care. My Home Vet contacted me very early in the morning telling me that they could give me a priority appointment for that same day around 9:00am. I thanked them and explained that we had to take the kitten to another veterinary center. Oliva asked me to keep her updated. After that, our precious kitty got worse so we had to make the hard decision to euthanize her. I don't know how I found the strength but I contacted My Home Vet to let them know that Mambrú was not going to need them anymore. After that, something totally unexpected happened for me. I received a beautiful hand-written condolence card in the mail with some seeds. I honestly didn't expect this. THANK YOU, THANK YOU so much Olivia and Maaike. You have no idea how much that gesture of empathy meant to us. Knowing that Mambrú was not just a number to you and that you actually care about your furry patients, only shows the great quality of human beings that you are. Once again, I 100% recommend My Home Vet as the best veterinarians in the area. Be completely assured that your furry children will be in the best hands. Thank you forever. Mambrú and her human parents. --o0o-- Dec 2021:The best service we have ever had! We were users of Pets at Home veterinarians in Huddersfield and these days we call to book an appointment for the annual vaccination of our 16-year-old cat Mambrú. Pets at Home told us that there was a national shortage of vaccines and that we could only have the appointment for the month of February 2022. We worry because the vaccines expired on December the 23th of 2021 and our kitten is a foreign kitten, therefore, maintaining the vaccination on time is one of the requirements to enter and leave any country. We decided to search online for other vets and luckily we came across My Home Vet. We called yesterday (Wednesday) and they gave us the appointment for today Friday. Incredible! We are very grateful, since they came to our house (very punctual by the way), vaccinated our kitten, weighed her, checked her teeth, and her heart. The appointment was extremely fast (I think no more than 10 minutes) I would have liked to talk a little more hahaha, but considering the COVID situation and how exposed they are going house to house, it seems very sensible. Thank you very much Maaike and Olivia! We were able to pay for the service by card without using cash, they gave me the payment receipt and even sent me the invoice by email. More cannot be asked! Companion Care Vets just lost a customer.

Highly recommend My Home Vet. They came to my house to put my elderly cat to sleep. I was absolutely dreading it but they were so lovely and really put my mind at ease. They explained everything that would happen and reassured my my cat would feel no pain. The whole procedure was over quickly and I take great comfort in knowing that my darling cat went to sleep on his favourite rug in the living room, surrounded by his family. I honestly couldn't recommend them more, thank you so much for making such an upsetting time as peaceful and lovely as it could have been.

The fact that after 15 years plus our beloved little dog was able to leave this world with some dignity, in her own home, accompanied by people who loved her made a difficult time a much less upsetting event than it would otherwise have been. I called Home Comforts out, as sadly we had to put our elderly dog to sleep, and we wanted her to be at home, Emma at Home Comforts were recommend to us by our regular vet. They were helpful, kind and understanding from the start. Emma came out to and was wonderful so kind and gentle to our old girl. We were happy that she could pass peacefully at home. I would highly recommend Home Comforts, as I know friends and family would too.

Emma & the team have done 2 dentals for my cats Dec & Navy at a fraction of the price my usual vets wanted to charge. Their care has been exceptional. When I had concerns about Navy afterwards Emma phoned me & through chatting to her I realised he just needed longer to get used to not having his canines & also took longer to get over the anaesthetic. We brought our new puppy along here to get his first immunisations along with micro-chipping. Us not being registered here though it was pretty quick & straight forward getting an appointment within a quick reasonable time frame (waiting 7days to be exact). Raj was the vet in charge that day & gave us a really warm very. Mylo was made to feel super relaxed & did not feel a thing. Would definitely recommend to any family or friends. Brought my cat here for surgery, we are registered with a different branch but managed to get an app with any. This branch had the earliest. Was quiet and very clean. There is no carpark but plenty of main road parking. Receptionist was very welcoming and the main vet was really lovely too. Gave great aftercare advice and booked me a follow up app at the branch I'm registered too for ease. Great service!

Thank you to all the staff at white cross! Whenever i call to enquire about appointments for all the stray cats i help , they have always gone above and beyond to book in (even when i have to rearrange sometimes) without making the kitties feel less important than our own pets. Excellent vets. One of the small chain of Whitecross vets so has a different feel to one of the larger groups of vets - feels more personal and small practice - like vets from years ago - this is something for them to be proud of. The consultation didn’t feel rushed like I have experienced elsewhere.

The receptionist Tracey was friendly, polite and explained and helped me to sign up to the pet plan immediately. She explained what was included, the price breakdown and gave me leaflets to explain. The vet Tavi was amazing. So knowledgeable and understanding of my dog and his temperament. Knew exactly what to do and how to handle him. It was the first time I came to this practice having recently moved the area and I'm so relieved I've found such a friendly, caring practice with a vet who can help my dog Noodle. Thank you so much. Next time I won't feel so nervous to come along with my pup! :)

I’ve been using this vet practice for years. I’ve always found all the staff to be helpful, knowledgeable and very professional. This morning my cat had an appointment with Tavi. Not only did Tavi look at the issue my cat had gone in for but looked at two other little issues as well. Not only is Tavi a great vet he is also a nice person. Excellent caring service, really prompt appointments, professional service by all the vets. I really feel my dog gets such good care and follow up checks. Clear aftercare and information regarding cost. He recently had a dental appointment and teeth extracted, Ted bounced back immediately after, he was a new pup again. Outstanding vets. Have all my animals with them and can honestly say they are the best around. My dog actually likes visiting them and he’s had at least two operations.
