The vet that as just seen my dog Alfie was fantastic she cares and was so informative and understanding I would definitely recommend calder vets at Denby Dale. No waiting, appointment on time and receptionist was polite and friendly. Overall I felt confident with the service and my dog was in good hands. Unfortunately I had to have Alfie put to sleep I cannot thank the vet and staff enough for all the care and support given to us. I now go to the same vet with my dog Peggy who Unfortunately became a diabetic and again I cannot say enough about the vet and staff that have been fantastic in all her care needs I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Fantastic, friendly and caring team at Denby Dale and feel the same about their Penistone practice on the occasions we've had to visit there. Always met with a friendly face and they have always provided a calm and welcoming environment for my past and present furbabies. Great team.

The best vets, I am so glad my dogs are registered here. They are so lovely and genuinely care for the animals, not just about money. I have been many times now for my dogs Coco and Bruno’s vaccinations and now castrations. The care and service they provide is amazing, from booking them in at reception right through to follow up appointments. The staff are the best and go above and beyond as my dogs are anxious. I never feel rushed at the appointments either. Bruno had his castration today and I explained I was anxious, they said they would call as soon as he was done and I got a call from the nurse before lunchtime. You all work hard and should be proud. We recently took our dog, Cleo, to see Badr and we couldn’t be more grateful for the care and attention she received. Cleo can be quite anxious at the vet, but from the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was calm, and the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. It was clear they genuinely care about animals and understand the importance of making them feel safe. Badr went above and beyond to make Cleo feel at ease, taking time to gain her trust before starting the examination. They spoke softly to her and let her approach at her own pace. The patience and gentle approach worked wonders; Cleo relaxed in a way we hadn’t seen at previous vet visits. During the treatment, Badr explained each step, which put us at ease as well, knowing she was in skilled hands. Thanks to Badr, Cleo had a positive experience, and we now feel confident bringing her back for future visits. If you’re looking for a vet who is not only knowledgeable but also exceptionally caring and skilled at handling nervous pets, we highly recommend Badr and their team. Amazing vets! Saved our dog's life- we cannot thank them enough. They treat our pet as though she is their own. All staff are lovely and so helpful. Peter, Caroline, Will, Daniella are wonderful and so skilled in what they do. Always take the time to explain things and answer all our questions. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

My usual vet unless my pet needs anything serious and then it's off to Calder Vets in Dewsbury. The expansion has done the place a lot of good and now they have specific waiting areas for cats away from other pets where they can be more relaxed. Knowledgeable and friendly staff and never had a bad experience there.

The vet was great with my anxious cat, who can become aggressive during consultations. He switched rooms to create a calming environment for him away from external noises.

Our dogs recently went in for their jabs one of them is usually quite nervous and will always bark when in the vets but not this time I’m not sure how she does it but Suzanna managed to keep both dogs calm they loved her and so did we she was fantastic you can really tell that she cares about your pets and loves her job both the ladies working on receptions we’re too very helpful.

Moved to Calder Vets from another practice after being unhappy with the service there. I couldn’t be more pleased that I chose this practice and have been treated in an extremely friendly and professional manner since day one. The care and attention to detail has been second to none. Our cat is very relaxed and comfortable with the team and their passion for their profession really stands out.

Can't say a bad word about Calder Vets Waterloo. The team are amazing and they always go above and beyond to help us with our two dogs 🐾 Our youngest dog has to visit the vets every two weeks and she gets to see her favourite Fran 🥰 She absolutely loves seeing Fran and gets so excited to see her. Fran is amazing with her and after surgery and visiting every 2 weeks she always runs to Fran with her tail wagging and little bum wiggle! Our oldest dog isn't the biggest fan of vets but this is nothing to do with Calder Vets it's just the fact she's a princess. She still loves seeing Fran and the team. Also a big mention to Louise on reception as she again is amazing when we attend or call to make our numerous appointments. The whole team are great and nothing is ever too much for them.

I took my service dog Loki to Calder vets Waterloo and was so impressed with the care and friendliness of the staff . They have an award for cat care and the surgery is warm and comforting . Thank you to the team from me and Loki

Excellent veterinary practice. Better than one I can name. These actually care about the animals and listen to the owners concerns. Receptionists are always polite and helpful. The vets at calder are always helpful and polite. The only thing that let's them down slightly is the consultation price. £52 for a 5 minute appointment. 9/10

Excellent as always. Nice to see a vet that is there for your much loved pets. My daughters cats are always at ease and usually purring away when Michael is examining them. Been with Calder vets for years and wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

Could not say a bad word about the staff from first visit and through a long healing process after her operation (due to her not leaving it alone to heal )everyone was amazing Skye just loved visiting the vets couldn't wait to get in and see them all would definitely highly recommend thankyou for putting up with her 😊

My Persian cat was in distress during the night, I called the practice at 8.20 am and was immediately connected to Maxine, I explained the problem, and she then arranged the appointment for 9.30am. Michael the vet attended to Tom and after a thorough examination prescribed a medication for him. I would highly recommend the practice

Nice female vetinary surgeon. Clean and calm waiting area. Lovely reception staff. Pain killers are majorly expensive since vets are no longer allowed to prescriptions cheaper human drugs.

Vets are friendly and professional, they take time to explain what is wrong with your pet and what and why they are prescribing and how it is likely to affect your pet. Reception staff very efficient.

Looked after our cat incredibly well during and after an operation. The staff genuinely feel as though they care about animals and are not just profiteering. Treatment is still expensive but we were looked after with care and consideration.

Our pets are new to vets4pets and right from the initial telephone call to make appointments for vaccinations and spaying the staff were amazing. Julie with the dark hair and the young lady with dark hair and glasses are so professional, friendly and polite. The nursing staff are polite, friendly and very informative. All staff very supportive. My daughter is autistic and I asked staff to reassure her about the spaying operations that her kittens were having. They were very reassuring as they could see my daughter was visibly upset. Very happy with their services. This is the only vets in the area that offer the kitten pack too, which saves ££££, includes vaccinations, health check, microchip, 3 months of flea and worm treatment.

I love how the Reception staff are always pleased to see my dog and comment on how gorgeous she is. It makes me feel happy and proud.

Managed to get a short notice appointment for our poorly cat. She was seen promptly and the vet was lovely with her and explained thoroughly what the problem was and what treatment was required both immediately and going forward. Very happy with the service she received

The staff at Calder Vets in Mirfield are always friendly and helpful. They are very attentive to my anxious dog, and go the extra mile to calm him. The vet is absolutely brilliant.
