Called ahead as I wanted to register my shynx'. The receptionist was really knowledgeable, and registration was easy. Cats were really calm with the male vet, who was great and allayed any concerns I had about spay/neuter for this breed.

Thank you so much to Zack for picking up on Baby’s heart murmur after two vets missed it!! (Not Donaldson’s). Somerset Road were also brilliant and my little boy is home and fine. ❤️ Donaldson’s may not be the cheapest but the vets are brilliant and I completely trust them with all 3 of my babies. Thank you.

We signed up with Donaldson's, which is much further away for us than our original one. What a difference! All of the vets and nurses we have seen with our poorly, elderly, dog have been brilliant. Caring, informative and interested. Reception staff, too, are kind and helpful.

We’ve been using Donaldsons for years with our two dogs and our cat. They have always been brilliant… especially Carly, who does a great job dealing with our extremely excitable Borador!

Donaldson's have been great in their care for my very nervous and anxious dog (Harper). She had to have an operation and they were very proactive, reassuring and caring, it was really appreciated! The staff are all very caring and make you feel like it isn't just a business but a place of care. Would recommend to anyone in need of a vets.

My dog need his annual boosters, and due to my disability I’m unable to drive. This service was so less stressful than trying to get him in a taxi to the local vets, for his injections. Two lovely ladies came and did them, and he was so chilled out and happy. They were very respectful and friendly. Would strongly recommend them, and would always be my go to vet for him now. Great service and glad I came across them.

Highly recommend My Home Vet. They came to my house to put my elderly cat to sleep. I was absolutely dreading it but they were so lovely and really put my mind at ease. They explained everything that would happen and reassured my my cat would feel no pain. The whole procedure was over quickly and I take great comfort in knowing that my darling cat went to sleep on his favourite rug in the living room, surrounded by his family. I honestly couldn't recommend them more, thank you so much for making such an upsetting time as peaceful and lovely as it could have been.

Following the heartbreaking decision we had to make to help our beautiful (almost) 14 year old boy Axel go to permanent sleep, I can’t thank Sarah and Danielle enough for their lovely, caring nature, on what was a truly sad and devastating day... Their calmness and explanation of the whole process and what to expect, helped prepare us for Axel’s final journey. He hated going to the vets, so we wanted him to be at home, in calm and familiar, stress-free surroundings. He passed away peacefully and with dignity, laying in his favourite spot in the garden in the sunshine, getting the head and ear tickles he loved so much and surrounded by the people who loved him most. We really couldn’t have asked for a better send off for Axel 🌈🐶💙 Thank you for making such an emotionally difficult time that bit easier to bear 🙏🏼

UPDATE: 01 Oct 2024. This is a very difficult thing for me to write. But I wanted to publicly thank My Home Vets, Olivia and Maaike for showing absolute empathy with our cat Mambrú. Unfortunately, two weeks ago, Mambrú suddenly started having seizures out of nowhere. In the morning she ate her breakfast normally and 20 minutes later when she was sleeping, she had some kind of hallucinations and then a seizure. She had asked me to cover her up and I put a freshly washed blanket on her that had a strong smell of detergent so I thought that was the reason. The rest of the day went by normally, until 1:30 in the morning, when Mambrú had another seizure. I didn't know what to do because I couldn't call My Home Vets because of the time, however, I requested an appointment through the questionnaire on their website and explained the situation to them. Unfortunately, Mambrú had another seizure an hour later so we had to take her to the nearest veterinary hospital for emergency care. My Home Vet contacted me very early in the morning telling me that they could give me a priority appointment for that same day around 9:00am. I thanked them and explained that we had to take the kitten to another veterinary center. Oliva asked me to keep her updated. After that, our precious kitty got worse so we had to make the hard decision to euthanize her. I don't know how I found the strength but I contacted My Home Vet to let them know that Mambrú was not going to need them anymore. After that, something totally unexpected happened for me. I received a beautiful hand-written condolence card in the mail with some seeds. I honestly didn't expect this. THANK YOU, THANK YOU so much Olivia and Maaike. You have no idea how much that gesture of empathy meant to us. Knowing that Mambrú was not just a number to you and that you actually care about your furry patients, only shows the great quality of human beings that you are. Once again, I 100% recommend My Home Vet as the best veterinarians in the area. Be completely assured that your furry children will be in the best hands. Thank you forever. Mambrú and her human parents. --o0o-- Dec 2021:The best service we have ever had! We were users of Pets at Home veterinarians in Huddersfield and these days we call to book an appointment for the annual vaccination of our 16-year-old cat Mambrú. Pets at Home told us that there was a national shortage of vaccines and that we could only have the appointment for the month of February 2022. We worry because the vaccines expired on December the 23th of 2021 and our kitten is a foreign kitten, therefore, maintaining the vaccination on time is one of the requirements to enter and leave any country. We decided to search online for other vets and luckily we came across My Home Vet. We called yesterday (Wednesday) and they gave us the appointment for today Friday. Incredible! We are very grateful, since they came to our house (very punctual by the way), vaccinated our kitten, weighed her, checked her teeth, and her heart. The appointment was extremely fast (I think no more than 10 minutes) I would have liked to talk a little more hahaha, but considering the COVID situation and how exposed they are going house to house, it seems very sensible. Thank you very much Maaike and Olivia! We were able to pay for the service by card without using cash, they gave me the payment receipt and even sent me the invoice by email. More cannot be asked! Companion Care Vets just lost a customer.

I couldn’t have wished for a more dignified end for my dog. The vet, nurse and receptionist were so very patient and understanding. Thank you all for your professionalism, compassion and kindness.

The vet that as just seen my dog Alfie was fantastic she cares and was so informative and understanding I would definitely recommend calder vets at Denby Dale. No waiting, appointment on time and receptionist was polite and friendly. Overall I felt confident with the service and my dog was in good hands. Unfortunately I had to have Alfie put to sleep I cannot thank the vet and staff enough for all the care and support given to us. I now go to the same vet with my dog Peggy who Unfortunately became a diabetic and again I cannot say enough about the vet and staff that have been fantastic in all her care needs I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Fantastic, friendly and caring team at Denby Dale and feel the same about their Penistone practice on the occasions we've had to visit there. Always met with a friendly face and they have always provided a calm and welcoming environment for my past and present furbabies. Great team.

We used to use vets for pets then moved to Donaldsons. We found Donaldsons give a highly level of care for our pug and is well set up in our area with the facilities on offer and suit our pugs needs. He goes to hydrotherapy and the vets /nurses are great with him. Highly recommended.

We've had many visits to Donaldson's since bringing Max home as a rescue last May, culminating in surgery mid-Dec. Cannot speak highly enough about the care Max has received, plus the care and reassurance we have received as worried owners. A fabulous team, from reception to senior vets.

We recently took our dog, Cleo, to see Badr and we couldn’t be more grateful for the care and attention she received. Cleo can be quite anxious at the vet, but from the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was calm, and the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. It was clear they genuinely care about animals and understand the importance of making them feel safe. Badr went above and beyond to make Cleo feel at ease, taking time to gain her trust before starting the examination. They spoke softly to her and let her approach at her own pace. The patience and gentle approach worked wonders; Cleo relaxed in a way we hadn’t seen at previous vet visits. During the treatment, Badr explained each step, which put us at ease as well, knowing she was in skilled hands. Thanks to Badr, Cleo had a positive experience, and we now feel confident bringing her back for future visits. If you’re looking for a vet who is not only knowledgeable but also exceptionally caring and skilled at handling nervous pets, we highly recommend Badr and their team. Amazing vets! Saved our dog's life- we cannot thank them enough. They treat our pet as though she is their own. All staff are lovely and so helpful. Peter, Caroline, Will, Daniella are wonderful and so skilled in what they do. Always take the time to explain things and answer all our questions. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Had an incredible experience today! I’m not from the local area and had travelled for specific cat dental work and everyone was understanding and lovely from start to finish. I arrived early for collection and was greeted with warm smiles and a brew and once my cat was removed from the cat carrier he was rubbing himself on the nurses legs, not mine! 😂 whilst waiting for my dad to pick us up they let my cat and I have a private room so I could let him have some freedom out of the carrier/cuddles! As an extremely health anxious pet owner, this was above and beyond! Thank you again!!!

I’ve been using this vet practice for years. I’ve always found all the staff to be helpful, knowledgeable and very professional. This morning my cat had an appointment with Tavi. Not only did Tavi look at the issue my cat had gone in for but looked at two other little issues as well. Not only is Tavi a great vet he is also a nice person. Very friendly, approachable and caring.

The receptionist Tracey was friendly, polite and explained and helped me to sign up to the pet plan immediately. She explained what was included, the price breakdown and gave me leaflets to explain. The vet Tavi was amazing. So knowledgeable and understanding of my dog and his temperament. Knew exactly what to do and how to handle him. It was the first time I came to this practice having recently moved the area and I'm so relieved I've found such a friendly, caring practice with a vet who can help my dog Noodle. Thank you so much. Next time I won't feel so nervous to come along with my pup! :)

I had used Companion Care for 14 years and. 5months under Mr Tavi Galla and his staff. I Highley recommend them. Sadly my lovely Border Collie Molly has just passed over the Rainbow Bridge.

Excellent caring service, really prompt appointments, professional service by all the vets. I really feel my dog gets such good care and follow up checks. Clear aftercare and information regarding cost. He recently had a dental appointment and teeth extracted, Ted bounced back immediately after, he was a new pup again. Unfortunately Ted has to have another operation but I feel confident he will recieve the best care. Thank you .

My girl had her annual Booster done, the vets here are amazing with my pets, exceptionally skilled, highly recommended, the nurses are fantastic, not forgetting the receptionist they company wouldn't function without a dedicated team.

Came for the first time with my African Grey Ruby, Matt was amazing with handling and with giving me useful information. I was nervous of how it would go but it couldn't have gone any better! Back home now whistling as usual!

Outstanding vets. Have all my animals with them and can honestly say they are the best around. My dog actually likes visiting them and he’s had at least two operations. Just shows you how much they look after and care for them when they have to stay overnight. 10/10. I would give them more if I could. My dog Blu gives them a solid paws up :)

My Persian cat was in distress during the night, I called the practice at 8.20 am and was immediately connected to Maxine, I explained the problem, and she then arranged the appointment for 9.30am. Michael the vet attended to Tom and after a thorough examination prescribed a medication for him. I would highly recommend the practice

Excellent as always. Nice to see a vet that is there for your much loved pets. My daughters cats are always at ease and usually purring away when Michael is examining them. Been with Calder vets for years and wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

They were very accommodating when we couldn't make it to our eldest cat's appointment; if we wanted to try again, they offered us a second appointment for later that day, and there was no pressure if we couldn't make it. When my kitten was examined by the vet for the first time, she was exceptionally kind and meticulous. They explained to me the differences between the two types of insurance available and advised me to double check the one I have taken out, just in case dental needs aren't covered. They additionally informed me regarding the health plan they offer that would save me money. I'm overjoyed that I switched my older cat to Caler Vets and chose them for my new kitten.

Lots of mixed reviews on here. Around 6 weeks ago I contacted the vets and asked can I register my dog Rocky as I thought he had conjunctivitis that he seemed to of had for a fair few weeks. Eye drops etc didn't work. Andy seen to him and gave him an injection and prescribed him with some anti biotics. That cleared up brilliantly. Today I got home from work to find Rocky coated in lumps. I rung the vets and asked if I could bring him down asap. Within 15 minutes I was at the vets and there was a few people waiting but they stopped what they were doing (on the phone etc) and seen to Rocky straight away. Again Andy gave him a injection and I'm now writing this review 6 hours after his injection and it's nearly cleared up. Fantastic service. Can not fault them.

Andy Jennings has looked after our dogs & cats for well over 20 years - I wouldn't take them anywhere else. He & his team have looked after our pets throughout thick & thin. From routine boosters & medication to trauma & lifesaving operation, even astounding acupuncture treatment years ago when all seemed lost, that gave our precious terrier a further 7 years of fantastic & fun filled life. During each animal's lifetime & as they've come & gone, always too soon, Andy, Catherine & their excellent staff have always cared for our pets in a professional & at the same time personal way. Fantastic health care & advice always given & genuine sadness & compassion at our loss when that inevitable time comes around. The wellbeing of your animal is his life's work & with those fantastic waistcoats giving a distinctive air of James Herriott, this for me at least, has always inspired a confidence & familiarity, which goes a long way in times now where such a personal service can be hard to find. I would have no hesitation in recommending Andy & his team to anyone.
