We took an injured little owl in on Friday, and it was looked after by them . Now, it is in a sanctuary recovering . Will definitely use these vets for any injured animals as 100%care given .

Very understanding and none forceful lokenother vets can be. We have a 2 year old and a 13 week old dough de bordeaux (Feb 2025) I know they probably love all the pets that come to see them but they make our two feel so special, even asking if they can take pics and feed them treats. These vets are absolutely the best . They have looked after my dogs for 40 years . Recently my puppy was ill and Sue the vet quickly diagnosed a heart murmer , she quickly got a cardiologist to check him over. The cardiologist sue Roberts diagnosed a heart murmer and reassured me it was mild sue roberts and suethe vet are the nicest vets you could wish to meet . My 11 dogs have all been cared for so much . My other two boxer dogs had a life expectancy of 2 years , they lived until 12 under the care of Alistair brown sue and all the other vets nurses and receptionists. Medivet Pontefract, we have visited for years, always a good service. Julian, who we saw is incredible, very knowledgeable, kind, calm, gentle and professional. We will see him again , always. Very impressed !

Today I attended medivet Pontefract for the first time with my nine year old spaniel after a bad experience with a neighbouring practice. Our vet was Dr cardos, he was brilliant, honest and very knowledgeable he had Rosie’s wellbeing at the forefront of the appointment. I’m really glad we chose Medivet! Thanks! :)

We had to make the most difficult decision ever to have our beautiful Penny put to sleep. She was 19+ years and suffering. The staff were so compassionate and respectful, they were excellent. When we went to pick up her ashes they were beautifully presented and it made us cry to find a card with her paw print and a small glass jar with some of her fur. We never expected this and it helped us. Thankyou so much xx

We take our 4 cats to Medivet and are extremely happy with the service offered. The staff are professional and extremely accommodating. It's sometimes difficult to take a cat for a particular time as they are specialist escape artists however the staff are understanding and will arrange another appointment. We are part of the pay per month scheme which covers flea and worm treatment, a 6 monthly check up and annual vaccinations.

I was very happy and impressed by the way both myself and Tobias my cat were treated. Tobias was given a full check up from top to bottom. He was so happy purring that the vet had trouble hearing his heart beating. Tobias always loves going to Medivet. As soon as I get his basket out of the cupboard he is in , settled and ready to go. I would highly recommend Medivet to anybody.
