I called Home Comforts out, as sadly we had to put our elderly dog to sleep, and we wanted her to be at home, Emma at Home Comforts were recommend to us by our regular vet. They were helpful, kind and understanding from the start. Emma came out to and was wonderful so kind and gentle to our old girl. We were happy that she could pass peacefully at home. I would highly recommend Home Comforts, as I know friends and family would too.

Emma & the team have done 2 dentals for my cats Dec & Navy at a fraction of the price my usual vets wanted to charge. Their care has been exceptional. When I had concerns about Navy afterwards Emma phoned me & through chatting to her I realised he just needed longer to get used to not having his canines & also took longer to get over the anaesthetic. I wish i could give more than 5 stars! Absolutely Amazing couldn't recommend these vets enough. I was very anxious taking rocco for neutering and these guys made it a doddle. So lovely and helpful start to finish and his little operation cut is tiny and will be barely noticeable when healed. Wonderful staff in a lovely vets! Thank you guys again!

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would, they’ve looked after both our dogs (Ted and Albert) with so much care and passion. Especially recently when Albert decided to chew on some tablets. He got really poorly and his kidneys were failing, they worked so hard on him and he’s made a full recovery. I couldn’t thank them enough for how they were with him and us.

Our beloved old timer, Sylvester - a gentle, loving and stoic 18 year old cat sadly passed last month. There was no question that it should be a home visit, his last moments were free of stress and where he wanted to be. I'm grateful that Jess provides this service, as the practice he had been with for 18 years didn't. It was all arranged with care and consideration of the limited time we had and Jess was professional, caring and kind to us all - including the thoughtful card that came after. A huge thank you to Jess and Lynne. I contacted Jess very last minute when my elderly cat, Polly, became very unwell and we knew it was time to put her to sleep. She was so helpful and amenable and re-arranged some plans so she could come round that day. Both Jess and Lynne were so kind and compassionate and helped ease my nerves and listened to the circumstances surrounded Polly and her nervousness. They were both just so lovely and I highly recommend them. They will offer support and advice along with care and love at those difficult moments.

I contacted Jess after becoming disillusioned by our local vet practice who seemed to focused on financial gain rather than the animal. Jess is professional, friendly and caring. The fact that she visits our home she can see our dogs in their natural state, nice and calm and happy. Jess immediately understood the situation with our OAP Jack Russell and has provided brilliant advice based upon our dogs’ best interests, focusing on ensuring he has the best quality of life possible for whatever time he has left. I am so relieved that Jess will be with us for his last chapter and for our other pets, hopefully, for many years to come.

Called ahead as I wanted to register my shynx'. The receptionist was really knowledgeable, and registration was easy. Cats were really calm with the male vet, who was great and allayed any concerns I had about spay/neuter for this breed.

My beloved dog, Max, was only registered at Palmer and Duncan a short time before we had to say goodbye to him on Friday evening, but the patience, care and compassion shown by all staff we met during that time was outstanding. Thank you so much for making such a difficult time that little bit easier for us. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone in Ossett with a pet.

Been using this surgery from the day it opened. The staff in the reception are brilliant, always pleasant and helpful, nothing is a problem for them. Also the Vets are very good, they are kind and care about your pets, they explain everything to you about your pets illness and do everything they can to help. Palmer and Duncan vets have always been very efficient and informative in dealing with our dog Willow a working stock retriever and Sooty and Mittens the young cats. Mittens they saved when she had emergency major surgery after she swallowed a length of sewing cotton that got stuck in her gut. All the staff are very friendly and bubbly. When your pet needs extra care they were good to refer to another practitioner. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

We’ve been with Oakwood Vets for well over 15 years and they looked after both our cats that have now sadly passed away. We have nothing but praise for the team. Our cats received expert care for many years and we cannot thank them enough for the compassion shown when our eldest cat passed away earlier this year. Been dealing with Oakwood Veterinary since 2001, never been disappointed. Dr. Kothari is very professional and very straightforward. He did a major surgery on my Husky in 2016 with which I was very satisfied. Very kind and very reasonably priced. Our beautiful Puka has been spayed in Oakwood veterinary surgery. I think it was the best decision we made to bring her exactly to this vet clinic and we was travelling from ls12 area because clinic was recommended to me. "I take my dog, Taffy, to Beechwood Vets in Headingley for her annual vaccinations and health checks. The staff are always incredibly thorough, carefully checking everything and explaining any health concerns clearly. When Taffy needed surgery, they gave us an appointment straight away. Today, she had her surgery, and I couldn’t be more impressed. The reception staff and the entire team were so kind, helpful, and understanding. A particularly lovely lady at reception was so compassionate when I was worried and crying—she took the time to calm me down and reassure me, which meant so much. Their calm and caring attitude made Taffy feel at ease too. The surgery went smoothly, and I’m so grateful for the excellent care they provided. Brought my 2 kittens in on Thursday for neutering and spaying and I cannot praise the staff enough. From the reception staff to the surgeon and everyone inbetween we were made to feel cared for and welcome. Lovely Veterinary team. My English is not good, but they always repeat and slow down their speech very patiently, which makes me feel very warm and relaxed， The email communication is very clear, and the charges are transparent and reasonable. After I adopted the cat, I checked all the practices I can find in Leeds. In terms of transportation, price and service, it was the best choice for me. Highly recommend this practice.

I visited this vets yesterday with my new kitten Rodger, the reception team were very lovely and friendly which made us feel super welcome. The interior of the vets was clean and fresh. A great experience for my first time at the vets with my kitten. The reception staff were warm and welcoming and the vet was super nice and friendly she handled my kitten very well who was very sassy and naughty. All in all a great place and super easy and convenient.

Excellent vets with great service from both the vet and admin team. Have been my vet of choice for 3 dogs now stretching back over nearly 20 years. Building is easy to reach, sharing an access road with the car wash, but with dedicated parking and a small grass area at the front. Ramp access to the front door is easy to manage for the mobility impared. Inside is clean, bright and airy, with toilets available and a small waiting area, including an area especially for those with smaller pets that is marked as a dog-free zone. Reception / admin staff are polite and helpful, greeting customers warmly and happy to say hello to pets and try to put them at ease. I've never had to wait more than a minute or two before being called into the examination rooms. All of the vets I've seen are equally nice, friendly and cheerful, and empathic towards the animals they're treating. The examination rooms are 'compact', but big enough for the job at hand, clean and tidy. Whenever I've taken my dogs in, the vet has always taken the time to try and treat them as kindly as possible, making sure there's a little treat to be had for each injection taken or for being poked and prodded - but it's little things like letting the dog take a moment to sniff the stethescope before they're checked over that I think makes going to the vet a non-traumatic experience for them. Vets have always been happy to discuss treatment options with me and make recommendations for their care, and the prices seem fair and reasonable in my experience. Strongly recommend.

My usual vet unless my pet needs anything serious and then it's off to Calder Vets in Dewsbury. The expansion has done the place a lot of good and now they have specific waiting areas for cats away from other pets where they can be more relaxed. Knowledgeable and friendly staff and never had a bad experience there.

The vet was great with my anxious cat, who can become aggressive during consultations. He switched rooms to create a calming environment for him away from external noises.
