We visited here recently and had some traditional Turkish food, which was freshly cooked and satisfying. The service was friendly and there is a good choice of English or Turkish food. It was busy and had a nice atmosphere. We certainly intend to visit again šŸ˜‹, they are also dog friendly which is a massive plus šŸ‘

The Oaks

The Oaks, Golf Centre, Moor Ln, Thorpe on the Hill, Lincoln LN6 9BW, UK | Restaurant
P: 01522 703284

Rating: 4.6 (114) Price Level:

Love this place! The owner (Jamie) and all the staff are welcoming, friendly and pay close attention to customers, always finding time for a chat. The food and drinks are fantastic - Prosecco always goes down a treat, as does the great coffee. This is a far nicer and more intimate venue than the cafe at Whisby nature reserve, so if you are out for a walk that way, I highly recommend trying The Oaks.

Thank you for a fun time at the wreath making you held Sunday. Great instructions and help (of which I needed plenty) !! Beautiful and plentiful array of foliage and crafting supplies to inspire us all. Prosecco and mince pie went down well too!!! See you next year. A great way to get festive.

On a rainy morning. This was definitely worth a visit! Greeted by friendly staff and management. The owner Jamie also took time for conversation which was evident on all the tables that were in. A lovely personal touch. The quality of the food followed the brilliant service, high quality produce and cooked to perfection. Every sip of coffee was beautiful! Ideal lots of parking and dog friendly which is perfect to pop in before a walk in nearby walking locations or before 9 holes of golf! Would highly recommend thanks guys see you again soon šŸ™ŒšŸ™Œ

Popped in for a late Breakfast/early Lunch on Monday morning. Lovely little venue, nicely furnished and very friendly, polite and attentive staff, who even made a fuss of our two pooches. Ordered a cappuccino, a latte and two all-day breakfasts - One large and one small. Both arrived promptly, hot and every element perfectly cooked and tasty. All in all, a nice little place to just unwind on a casual Monday morning, and us and our two four legged friends will be back soon!

This is my first time ordering from this place, and I am not disappointed. I ordered the large breakfast, and it was amazing! I was also given a complimentary chocolate wagon wheel, which was a delightful surprise. Everything was also individually wrapped in foil, which kept everything warm. I highly recommend this place.

Called one Saturday morning "pre shopping". It was nice and quiet as it was early on. Food arrived pretty quickly and was plentiful. It was nice and tasty with plenty on the plate. Only criticism, the door was open so it quickly cooled the food and the drinks. Sausages could have done with a little more colour too, they were very pale. When we visited, they did not take card pay so ensure you have cash with you.

It is one of the more expensive places around the area. We knew on arrival it was popular as it was really busy, We managed to get a table. Unfortunately, this place was a little too busy, and there just wasn't enough staff. I got up to order but was told they would come to us. I waited just short of 15 minutes, which in fairness isn't all that bad. But after the order, we were told we were looking at 20 to 30 minutes wait for food, which ended up being 40 to 45 minutes. There was one chef in the kitchen, and he was doing his best. The food when it did arrive, though, was spot on could not pick fault with it. I'm happy it was worth the wait, we ordered breakfast omelette and a standard breakfast, and there was plenty. (Please see photos attached) In comparison to other places, though, the price here is on the higher end of the spectrum.

Tim's Cafe and Take Away at Thorp Arch

Unit 9.7a, Retail Park, Thorp Arch, Estate, Wetherby LS23 7FE, UK | Cafe
P: 07355 714166

Rating: 4.4 (669) Price Level:

This is a five star establishment, when taken in context! For all that it is setting out to be, it doesnā€™t get better. Decent premises, very friendly staff, and well produced food in a timely manner. Itā€™s a quirky spot, on a disused retail park, which adds to the interest if you havenā€™t been before. It isnā€™t afternoon tea at the Ritz, but it isnā€™t trying to be. Itā€™s completely authentic to its market position and is a credit to those who work there.

A unique and atmospheric little cafe in the now closed Thorpe Arch trading estate. Very good menu and at very competitive prices points. Very friendly and attentive staff, orders can be made in advance on the telephone. Great quality of ingredients and locally baked cakes. Thoroughly recommend.

Thereā€™s a criteria of two things that define a good greasy spoon, the simplicity of the food and the amount of Tradies in it, this place definitely ticks both boxes. As a southern fairy Iā€™ve struggled to find a northern pansy that can figure out the good greasy spoon, but Timā€™s got it somehow, I donā€™t know who gave him the trade secrets, if I wasnā€™t sure heā€™d deck me for even thinking it, I would say he must be a Londoner. I drove all the way from Leeds for this breakfast, and Iā€™ll definitely be doing it again. Thanks Tim for getting it right! I had a breakfast sandwich that disappeared before I could get a picture of itā€¦
