The food was amazing! Very fresh, and very authentic. The meals were big, and well balanced it terms of flavours and textures. I found the inside seating a bit too warm for me so we say outside which was very nice as we could enjoy the fresh ocean wind and the sound of seagulls. The service was maybe the weakest link as we should have ordered in a desk inside the restaurant and there was a bit confusion there. Additionally, I tried to ask about the fish and chips meals and the staff didn't really understand me or just didn't like me asking. We ended up ordering something that looked completely different than we understood, but luckily it was very tasty. I really don't know. Aside from the ordering part, the service was okay.

Came to celebrate my wife's birthday and have to say, what a little gem of a place!! First class service and atmosphere, the food was incredible, we had the Chateaubriand Steak and oh my God definitely the best steak we have ever had!!! We will definitely be back the next time we visit the area. Thank you to all the staff for a dinner to remember.

On a coast where fish and chips, pubs, and ice cream shops are around every turn, Brambles Bistro really stands out. This restaurant serves extremely high quality food, with many ingredients sourced from local farms. I had the chicken BBQ burger with bacon & cheese fries, but have heard great things about their steaks and will try one next time. My wife is vegetarian and found many options available to her. The bistro sits in a unique location at the bottom of the hill in RHB. In the summer you can sit outside with a wine and watch the sun shine off the blue water; in the winter the bistro offers a cozy reprieve from the North Sea winds. We sat inside and it has a great ambiance (being in a listed building) and was cleaned to a high standard. Aside from the setting and food, this place stands out due to its friendly staff. They are incredibly welcoming and will treat you like family. I would give this place more stars if possible. Overall, it is a one of a kind experience on the Yorkshire Coast.

We had a perfect Friday night in Brambles and couldn’t have been happier with the food, wine and service. Since it was sharing night we indulged in a divine baked Camembert to start and then opted for the Chateaubriand with a Diane and a red wine sauce. It was cooked to perfection and the tastiest steak I can remember, even better than some I’ve had in Paris. The delicious onion bread has to be tasted as it’s hard to describe. Wine was fantastic and we even squeezed in a dessert, both fantastic. The whole meal was such good value and worth every penny, especially given the prompt and super friendly service. Hope to go back one day!

Best fish and chips in the local area, always fresh, about a 15 minute wait, so best to phone your order through first, lightly battered fish is lovely and the batter is light and crispy. Family run business. Car parking limited on main road outside the shop. Expensive, but isn't everywhere these days. Chip portions are huge, plenty enough for two people.

Really first class service , value for money, chips , peas , fish cake , pies cooked to perfection. In fact never had better chips , fish cake or peas , second time in two days that’s how good the food was .

A great family run business. The fish is beautiful. Mine was cooked fresh to order. And had a potato scallop with it. The guys serving were very polite and courteous. And as for price. The most reasonable I've had since moving back to Yorkshire. Would I go there again. Absolutely, in fact I think I'd go out of my way to get my fish and chips in future ..

We went here after finding all the local fish and chips shops closed. It came highly recommended. It was near closing time but the owners were happy to serve us and were very friendly. The food was of good quality and freshly cooked.

Friendly and fast service. Asked for an extra hot latte and boy was it. Delicious. Just what I needed on a blowy September morning. The views from the benches just in front of the cafe are the best in the village .

Lovely friendly service at this takeaway shack with fabulous beach views. It is sited overlooking the beach and has benches alongside. Serves hot and cold drinks, milkshakes, homemade soup, jacket potatoes, toasted Paninis and sandwiches. All very reasonably priced. The food is made up fresh, not pre wrapped in plastic and you are given a buzzer for when your order is ready to collect. I had free range egg and freshly ground black pepper sandwich on brown. The bread was lovely, soft and fluffy and they were really generously filled. For £4 it was a bargain and very tasty to boot. Great place to sit and have your lunch right by the sea. Shall definitely revisit and would recommend. One of the best sandwiches I have had, eeee, grand!

Good very nice. Had Tuna and Separate Tuna sandwiches Latte coffee. Well it was yummy lots and lots of fillings very good value. Excellent people doing a great job. Thank you.

What a lovely location for a cuppa and a sandwich. On hot busy days be prepared for a longer wait. It was lovely coffee and sandwiches.

I ate the best bacon sarnie I have ever eaten. It was so good. The gluten free bread which I requested wasn’t the rubbish stuff but top quality. Coffee was good too. Nice relaxed atmosphere and not too fancy. Definitely recommend this place.

Lovely little cafe, which we happened to just fall upon on our visit to Robin Hood's Bay. The Tea cakes were delicious, and the staff were very friendly and looked like they were having a great time. Great decor and good vibes

Cosy unique atmosphere with very friendly staff! We were grateful to discover this place and the staff were kind enough to serve us take away coffees in our own flasks as they do not have take away cups.

Had a cracking breakfast here, full English cooked to perfection, and the chef was singing as he cooked. Dog friendly place, loved it.

This is a great little independent coffee shop; lovely coffee and a good selection of great tasting cake. If you like crepes then you'll be in luck. The sweat options are super and won't disappoint. The real test of any crepery is the quality of the savoury options; I have to say these are also top drawer. Give them a go if you're in town. You'll be pleased. 👌

Really great cafe, good selection of food and drinks. Coffee we had was amazing and so was the scones and cakes. Very reasonable price too given the location. Owners where very friendly as well.

Great selection of gluten free and vegan cakes and they can do the crepes gluten free too. The cheese and chorizo crepe is now the main reason my son wants to come to robin hoods bay 🤣. Good coffee too. Takes card.
