Heard about this place through a friend. Paid a visit today for brunch. Absolutely amazing food, made in house and you can tell by how fresh and amazing it is. Would recommend the Nutella latte not sure how they made it but it’s the best thing ever. Can’t wait to sample the whole menu, will definitely be back again. Staff were very friendly. The owner was very helpful with suggesting options and had a good conversation. Really nice atmosphere too, cosy and calm. Free parking at the back too. Will definitely be back!

Incredible first time at Strada cafe, such a calm ambience to have some breakfast in peace, we got the french toast, omlette and beans & the strada breakfast, everything was exceptional! the flavours were unreal, can’t wait to come back! the owner and staff were extremely friendly and welcoming too!

Our 2nd time coming to this cafe. My girlfriend and I love it here. The food and drink is fantastic and the people are so nice. Eggs Royale and the guest coffee is my top recommendation.

We ordered Strada special large breakfast, large French toast with a kids meal and a milky chai latte. Their breakfast definitely has a special touch. The sausage is very nice, a hand made taste, not the standard sausages you find in other cafes. The diced potatoes are very tasty and the eggs had some green seasoning ontop which was really tasty. I like the uniqueness of the breakfast it’s not a standard full English it’s definitely got a special touch. Got to give credit to the owner, never seen a cafe where the owner himself makes sure your food is good and comes to speak to you.

Such a well run and great place to go. The food is always great. But there is a cheeky little thing on the menu that people over look. And it is..............? The simple onion Bhaji. Seriously it is on another level. Not the stodgy dough ball that you are used to. Batter covered onion, loosely dropped in to the fryer for maximum crunchyness. It is exactly how they are in India. Yum yum yum yum yum 😋

Me and parents came today for our late lunch/early tea, my parents had the roast turkey and the roast ham, I had the lasagna, I would definitely recommend going here for food or even just a drink, great staff, great atmosphere

I asked the Sun Inn to provide a buffet and it was the best buffet I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying in the UK. Before I booked my event, I ate lunch here and it was delicious (peppercorn chicken). I have since been back fro my 3rd time and enjoyed a gourmet burger and a few beers while speaking to locals on the outside terrace. This is a fantastic gastropub. Well worth the visit. Lance and his staff make everyone feel very welcome.

Just popped in when passing had a Sunday lunch lovely cosy and warm pub fantastic service from arrival and the food was really nice hot plates great presentation and amazing value thanks we will be back

Cracking real ale pub this, hardly changed over the years and has stuck to its principles of providing good quality ales at good prices, staff always friendly, sports regularly on TV, dog friendly pub with a nice sun trap of a terraced seating area outside, if your in the area this boozer is a must, keep up the good work guys.

This has been a great real ale pub for many years and still has top quality beers.

Yeah average real ale pub, £4 for a Saltaire blonde which wasn't the clearest I've had and £4.50 for a Sheepshaggers Gold which was better. Nice change of scenery and good to see dog owners keep dogs on the floor rather than dog hairs all over the furniture. Could get expensive if on a longer session but staff friendly and cheerful enough

Dined in on a Friday eve our first visit to The Shrub! The decor is lovely and we couldn’t fault the food either, it was delicious. As were our cocktails which were excellent value at 2 for 1 on a Friday evening. I had two small plates and a side salad, they arrived piping hot and beautifully presented. My daughter also enjoyed her large plate chicken dish and vegetables. My only gripe is that we were a little cold at times due to the terrace doors being opening regularly to the terrace.

The Shrub hosted our daughter’s graduation gathering last night, it was absolutely perfect! Such a beautiful elegant place. The food was top quality and the staff could not do enough for our party. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be regulars. Thank you all again.

Today was the first time ever visiting The Shrub in Brighouse, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience. The food and atmosphere not only met but exceeded my expectations. The dishes were simply amazing—both delicious and impressively healthy, with no compromises on quality. I would highly recommend The Shrub to anyone looking for a delightful experience; rest assured, it’s a visit you won’t regret. I highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream for desert!

I visited this place recently - it was a Thursday when you could have x3 smaller plates for £18. I loved everything about the place - the staff were so friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was great - the food was delicious and I am gluten free! I could have everything I wanted gluten free including the amazing chocolate dessert!! If I was local I would be a regular. I will be sure to come back when next in the area. Highly recommend!!!

First time here. Food was lovely, reasonably priced, excellent friendly service and when I asked about vegan options for my daughter and son in law they are happy to oblige even if it is not on the menu.

We went today for the first time and it was great! The service was very quick and efficient and a special mention to Ellie she was fab! The carvery was great the portions were huge and we loved that the sides came out separately and our son really enjoyed the kids meal again this was a big portion. We highly recommend and we will defintely be back especially as this is now our local pub! Thank you so much!

AMAZED! We’re here from Melbourne visiting family and this pub is just across the road from where we’re staying. I’m pleased to say that our group of 5 were all absolutely over the moon with our experience at The Red Lion! The food was perfect and exceeded expectations, the service was fast, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful :) I only managed to snap a picture of my dessert (Sticky Toffee Pudding) but I guarantee you’re in for a treat and an excellent evening! (We even got toothpicks and some little chocolates with our bill! How thoughtful) 10/10 would recommend. We’ll certainly be back next time we’re here! :)

We had a meal this evening and were thoroughly impressed. The waitress was absolutely lovely, the food was exceptional, and they warmly welcomed our little dog Toby, which made the experience even more special. We will most certainly be returning in the future! ❤️

We came here for a bottomless brunch for my friends birthday yesterday, the food was gorgeous and that atmosphere was amazing. So attentive staff, cocktails were beautiful. I'd definitely recommend the Harvey quinn. Would recommend this place for a good meet up with friends. Ut won't dissapoint.

Girls Xmas night out and first time visiting. Atmosphere was amazing the staff were amazing and food was good too. The Harley Quinn drink was by far my favourite. Love the whole theme of villians bar. Wasn’t sure what to expect with the dirty fries Xmas dinner but wasn’t disappointed. Only one down side table was slightly too close to bar which was constantly full of people as it was main walkway to bathrooms, even had people staring at us to move from our table that we had booked. That aside it was a great nite and we will be back. ☺️

This place is awesome, we went for bottomless brunch and was expecting the cocktails to be on the tame side but No they were not. Their food 'wow' I had a burger and it was amazing, and the two girls that were serving couldn't do enough for us. The whole experience was worth a lot more than what we paid, if you're going in brighouse; then this place is an absolute must, you won't be disappointed. First time having bottomless brunch here and the staff were so lovely! Very attentive and the woman behind the bar made the cocktails so fast! Food came out really fast and was super yummy! Would highly recommend

The Food here is seriously so good. Really wish i had discovered it sooner but plan on making up for that. Some cute animals you can feed too and a great Gift Shop.

Fantastic food for a large group (8 people including 1 child) however staff were absolutely brilliant 👏

We had to wait to be seated as all the tables were in use. But once a table was free the man who showed us to our table brought an extra chair to make the 3 person table into a 4...but he did promise to move us to a larger table when one became free...which was literally minutes after we'd got seated. Once re seated we ordered at the counter. When the food came it looked amazing and when we tasted it the taste matched our first impression!! We live in Huddersfield so travelled over for my daughters birthday brunch. I would defo return after seeing the size of her pancake stack she got!! I need to try them too 😁

It was random walking cafe but it turn out, out standing. Loved vibes, food and staff are lovely. They have this veg burrito it’s out of this world, you will be amazed with taste. And mozzarella tosties wow…. Highly recommend . As it’s a small place we have to wait for table for lil longer but it’s understandable , no complaints…

Popped in here for a Sunday brekkie, it was very busy but I can appreciate why. The staff were friendly and attentive from when we walked in, sorting us a table inside. The food was brilliant, can't fault anything I had, and the coffee is lovely!

Visited this little gem today. Food, staff and the cafe itself are fantastic. Very busy, we were lucky and got seated in 15 minutes others waiting had to wait longer. Very popular place, shame its not bigger or a few more tables/chairs could be added as there is room. Food and drinks were amazing, coffee was absolutely lovely. Shame they dont have their own parking as parking is chargeable by the hour but only 60p an hour. This will now definitely be my favourite place to pop in for coffee or brekkie. Bonus too, they are dog friendly and have a little menu for them.

Tried the tapas menu, lovely dishes, you don't need more than 3 i say unless you're very hungry 😁

Amazing visit today at The Grove Inn. Sunday Roast was delicious. I had the beef and my partner had the three meats. Children had burger and chips and chicken nuggets and chips. Service was great and friendly. Beer garden is equipped with music and heat lamps 👌 highly recommend

The grove has recently had an amazing refurbishment and looks like a brand new pub. They have changed it for the better. They now have a great food menu. We have eaten here a couple times now, first time round we had pizzas and they were so fresh and tasty, one of the best pizzas we've had. We also had their festive menu which was also wonderful. We had turkey dinner and chocolate brownies for pudding. Such good food and amazing value for the high quality! Can confirm takeaway meals are just as good!

Went for afternoon teas because my partner got a groupon voucher. For what we paid, the sandwiches, pork pie and sausage roll were very nice, didnt enjoy the cakes as much. The pub is pretty nice and in good keeping, staff pleasant and good service. They did turn the music up mid eating, bit loud for sitting having food being honest. Cant say what the menu was like, didnt try.

If I'm off out walking, like today, I always call here for a sandwich to eat at lunchtime . A ham salad on brown teacake is my favourite. Absolutely stacked solid with with the usual ingredients but they are super fresh always. Buy and try.

Ordered galantines biscuits for my best friend and she absolutely loved them! Such a great idea for a gift, I will definitely use Crumbs again! :)
