Best cafe in brighouse. We had a gorgeous bacon butty and avocado on toast. Service was spot on. Food was delicious.

Great spot for a breakfast in Brighouse town centre. I got a vegetarian breakfast, just because hash browns were included on that and not on the full English. It was lovely and very filling. The breakfast wrap was probably the biggest wrap I've ever seen in a restaurant! The staff were lovely and attentive, especially for a busy Sunday morning.

recently discovered a hidden gem in Brighouse, and it’s truly a delight. From the outside, the café looks cozy, but once inside, it’s surprisingly spacious, with a charming rustic cycling-themed decor. It’s easily accessible from both the road and the canal, making it a convenient stop whether you’re driving or taking a stroll along the water. The café is also dog-friendly, which added to the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. We ordered a cappuccino, a latte, the sharing platter (just the right portion for two), and a cherry Bakewell for dessert. Everything was full of flavor, and the service was impressively quick. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot to unwind, enjoy good food, and soak in the atmosphere. Highly recommend!

First time here. Food was lovely, reasonably priced, excellent friendly service and when I asked about vegan options for my daughter and son in law they are happy to oblige even if it is not on the menu.

We had a meal this evening and were thoroughly impressed. The waitress was absolutely lovely, the food was exceptional, and they warmly welcomed our little dog Toby, which made the experience even more special. We will most certainly be returning in the future! ❤️

We went today for the first time and it was great! The service was very quick and efficient and a special mention to Ellie she was fab! The carvery was great the portions were huge and we loved that the sides came out separately and our son really enjoyed the kids meal again this was a big portion. We highly recommend and we will defintely be back especially as this is now our local pub! Thank you so much!

Food was delicious. Me and partner ended up here after seeing amazing comments on Facebook. We thought why not give it a try. We had a hanging bbq chicken and 10oz sirloin steak both cooked to perfection, by the way love the English onion bhaji. We had biscoff cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding to finish. Service was excellent. I real nice surprise and will visit again and highly reccomend to others

The grove has recently had an amazing refurbishment and looks like a brand new pub. They have changed it for the better. They now have a great food menu. We have eaten here a couple times now, first time round we had pizzas and they were so fresh and tasty, one of the best pizzas we've had. We also had their festive menu which was also wonderful. We had turkey dinner and chocolate brownies for pudding. Such good food and amazing value for the high quality! Can confirm takeaway meals are just as good!

Amazing visit today at The Grove Inn. Sunday Roast was delicious. I had the beef and my partner had the three meats. Children had burger and chips and chicken nuggets and chips. Service was great and friendly. Beer garden is equipped with music and heat lamps 👌 highly recommend

Went for afternoon teas because my partner got a groupon voucher. For what we paid, the sandwiches, pork pie and sausage roll were very nice, didnt enjoy the cakes as much. The pub is pretty nice and in good keeping, staff pleasant and good service. They did turn the music up mid eating, bit loud for sitting having food being honest. Cant say what the menu was like, didnt try.

Sisters early 60th birthday celebrations. So, 5 of us booked for a Sunday roast, but they had a lot of walk-ins and unfortunately ran out of all roast meats. So, We had a Tapas instead. Well, for a first-time try in Tapas, I was very impressed with the offerings. The food was amazing, with plenty on each of the 15 dishes we tried, and I'm really looking forward to being able to come back for the roast next time. The service from all the staff was excellent, and all the meals we cooked fresh and brought to the table in a timely manner over about a 25-minute period. Well done to everyone who made our stay very enjoyable.

Dined in on a Friday eve our first visit to The Shrub! The decor is lovely and we couldn’t fault the food either, it was delicious. As were our cocktails which were excellent value at 2 for 1 on a Friday evening. I had two small plates and a side salad, they arrived piping hot and beautifully presented. My daughter also enjoyed her large plate chicken dish and vegetables. My only gripe is that we were a little cold at times due to the terrace doors being opening regularly to the terrace.

Today was the first time ever visiting The Shrub in Brighouse, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience. The food and atmosphere not only met but exceeded my expectations. The dishes were simply amazing—both delicious and impressively healthy, with no compromises on quality. I would highly recommend The Shrub to anyone looking for a delightful experience; rest assured, it’s a visit you won’t regret. I highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream for desert!

I visited this place recently - it was a Thursday when you could have x3 smaller plates for £18. I loved everything about the place - the staff were so friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was great - the food was delicious and I am gluten free! I could have everything I wanted gluten free including the amazing chocolate dessert!! If I was local I would be a regular. I will be sure to come back when next in the area. Highly recommend!!!

An absolute gem! Fantastic coffee and food selection with impeccable service. We visited on a Sunday afternoon for coffee and dessert but they also had Sunday roast available which looked delicious!

3 of us went to The Secret Tea Rooms today to get cake and coffee. We sat in a cosy pink booth and I had apple pie and a vanilla chai latte. It was so tasty, and very elegantly presented. Each of us ended up paying only £5, because we had, without knowing, arrived in time to take advantage of a special offer.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Coffee and tea was just as we like it, nice and strong and hot! We even got free biscuits. Will try food next time. Keep up the good work 👍🏻☕

Fabulous afternoon tea at this cute tea room. Defo recommend it. Oooo my first ever macaroon... what a treat... defo the best afternoon tea we have had.

Only a few stalls held on Wednesday and Saturday - but all brilliant - butcher, chicken shop (only Saturday), baker/confectioner and excellent fishmonger. UPDATE - last few Saturdays there has also been a good vegetable stall as well.

We go to Brighouse market every Saturday and I always get a butty good food every time, tables for those who want to sit, buns, teacakes, eggs and of course coffee and tea

Brighouse Market went down hill over a number of years, but over the last 12 month's really has come back strong - due to lockdown only essential stalls open at the moment, but what there are and really good, with apparently more lined up for the future. Wood fired Pizza and sourdough bread, Butchers, fishmonger, chicken and poultry, bread, eggs cakes, excellent artisan cake stall, excellent homemade pies stall, and of course a proper market fruit & Veg stall. Hopefully after lockdown some of the craft type stalls that had just started to arrive will come back and it will continue to move onwards and upwards.

Iv had breakfasts and butties from here they are incredible food is delicious and staff are so kind friendly and bubbly 5 stars for me 💕

Eating in Costa now, the service by a senior assistant was such a pleasure. Polite, quick, friendly and efficient...my snack was bought to the table with a cheery greeting. Great team working today...thankyou!

We had a delicious coffee and cake this morning. The staff were really friendly especially the gentleman who served me, we were sitting outside with our daughter’s puppy when the aforementioned gentleman brought a drink of water for the puppy. Definitely excellent service and much appreciated Well done Costa Brighouse 🥰🐾

Absolutely stunning food. We had a Sunday roast and x1 was made gluten free. The veg was super fresh and tasty. Certainly worth the price it was lovely. Portion sizes was large.

What an amazing meal we had on Sunday as always. Staff are so welcoming and friendly and we can never fault the food. I really like how you cater for every dietary requirement and have so many delicious veggie options. Can’t wait to come back again for another beautiful home cooked meal 😻😋
