Arrived parched after an 18-19 mile walk on a warm, humid day. Really wanted a tea. Arrived just after the lights went out. Very kindly the chap offered to make an Earl Grey. Also took his time to make sure we got the right level of milk. Not sure which brand of teabag he used but hit the spot. Order was restored. Very good price too.

The best cafe in Wakefield with a good selection of high quality home made food at a reasonable price. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff are very friendly. It is a family run business and the staff and owners make you feel one of the family too. (No you don’t have to do the washing up). Specials for Senior citizens too are very tasty and so filling you may need a doggy bag. The only downside is that you may have to wait for a few minutes for a table because it’s so popular but it is well worth the wait.

Great friendly place that made you feel welcome as soon as you walked in. The 2 course Sunday carvery was good value. The carvery was excellent with plenty of fresh vegetables and tasty meats. Good selection of beers. The desserts were delicious my wife loved the chocolate orange cake. Will be back to sample the normal menu.

Amazing staff. We were passing by and needed to use the toilet and the gentlemen outside, who was one of the staff members, was very friendly and polite and told us we are welcome to use the toilet. Thank you for your kindness.

My first visit since moving to Wakefield. Couldn’t have picked a better day. Sunshining and sat outside. Really friendly staff and lovely local people. Internally the pub was immaculate. My go-to place now - loved it - thank you. The absolute BEST in the area without a doubt IMO

Called in randomly for a drink. Saw the pizza oven and had delicious wood fired pizza. To top it all it was half price Tuesday!!

My photos don’t do it justice. 🤔 Delicious, hot, moreish pizza. Obviously fresh quality ingredients. Even the fries were cooked and then seasoned to perfection! They read the notes on my Just Eat order too, which I love. Shows they care. Delivered on time to a patient at Pinderfields Hospital. Even sent me a freebie with a kind note from the staff. ❤️ As a long term inmate of Pinders, this made my day!

The pub has just been refurbished and is now selling fabulous pizzas from a woodfired oven . The staff were very friendly. The pizzas were great with a good amount of toppings and a tasty dough. I will be back.

We had a lovely lunch here. Fresh food, loads of flavour, great price and portions. The hot chocolate was one of the best we have had in a while.. and we took a couple of treats away for later

Customer service is lacking in many places these days but not here at Whisk. We were blown away by the kindness of the lady who served us. We had a whinging baby and a toddler and 4 of us who couldn't decide . But nothing was too much trouble. It's a long time since I've been served with such kindness. And then the food. My panini was amazing and everyone loved what they had and we took a cake box home with us. The millionaires shortcake was the best I've ever tasted. We can't wait to go again

Fab first visit. Grown ups had panini's while the kids loved their waffles. Good menu, very nice quality and pleasant staff. Will definitely be back for another visit.

Very good covid-19 measures to keep staff snd public safe. The staff were ever so friendly and deliver a fantastic filling to bread ratio on your sandwich as well as a good array of sweet treats to choose from

This is by a long shot the best sandwich shop, the food is always on point and they make a beast ham salad just how I ask for it! Ladies it's always a pleasure seeing you nearly every morning, I normally come in white van for a large sausage butty haha, I drove 40 mins in the opposite direction I needed to be in to come get my butty on a morning as Always Guaranteed to leave laughing or a smile on my face n some good food

I've been going to crumbs ever since it opened and is my Favourite sandwich shop. The food is always hot and fresh and the customer service from the staff is top notch.

Great tasting bacon sandwich cooked to order. Made with locally sourced quality produce, from nearby butcher and baker. Good value and top quality. Yorkshire tea, good filter coffee (enjoyed!) and cold drinks too. Will be back to try the sausages and hand-made burgers and relish! Power sockets incl USB for charging your phone or laptop. Very friendly service, relaxed and everything cooked and made the way *you* want it.

Hidden Gem provided the catering for The Children's Family Trust fostering agency late Christmas party for carers and kids. From my 1st enquiry to delivery today Gemma was very prompt and professional. Everyone said how nice the food was and there was plenty to go round .

Wow- what an absolutely amazing balloon arch! It made our presentation night really look the part! The company were so professional and were able to complete this in a short amount of time due to not being allowed in the room to decorate until late. Communication was excellent from start to finish! Would highly recommend

I had an afternoon tea delivered to a friend for her birthday. The food not only looked amazing but was utterly delicious. Really helped to make her birthday special during the lockdown. Gemma is such a lovely person to deal with too. Would 100% recommend this little business, could not have asked for more.

Love this place, the food is great, good value, and perfect portions. The business is helping people get into employment which i think is absolutely fantastic. Such a great way to do business, and it's a business I would happily put money into as it's helping so many people so any chance I get to come and eat here, I will be here. I wish I could come every day! Their Halloumi Salad is amazing as well as their Halloumi Grilled hot sandwich and their salt and pepper chips is to die for! Very tasty. Pic is of the halloumi salad. Try it with the salt and pepper chips. The hot and cold and the combined taste just goes so well together 👌🏽 Staff are very friendly and will do their utmost to assist. The menu is great, and you can literally swap anything around and they encourage it!

A first-time visit to Create Café, and was very impressed. It's a bright, airy, colourful space. The menu is extensive, and good value for for money. The food is all freshly cooked to order, and tasty. The overall ethos is "Where good food and people matter". The café aims to help disadvantaged people by giving them working experience. Kudos to the co-founders/co-owners Shaun and James for this admirable venture which deserves every success.

Time to kill near Wakefield Station. 2 minutes walk from overpriced Costa at the station etc.... Lovely Panini and staff that don't hover over you and leave you to yourself. Recommended.

Probably the best coffee in Wakefield. Ditch the big chains. This family-run coffee has it all - delicious coffee, really friendly and welcoming staff (especially the owner's son), and loads of outdoor seating with a gorgeous view of the Cathedral.

Lovely cafe with the best coffee around. We come here every weekend without fail. The food is delicious and always have a great variety. I am always watching out for the weekend specials! The staff are always so cheery and kind too. ❤️

Try and sit upstairs if you can. It's decked out with plants and really pretty. This place serves awesome food and drinks, and has a nice bustling vibe, without being too noisy or hectic.
