The Copperpot Tearoom

3 Mill Ln, Darton, Barnsley S75 5HE, UK | Cafe
P: 07886 063953

Rating: 4.8 (26) Price Level:

I popped in for a mini breakfast in September shortly after the opening day. The service was friendly and efficient in a relaxing atmosphere. The meal was exactly what you'd expect from a well established cafe which is praise indeed for a fledgling venture. There was a selection of homemade layer cakes that looked too tempting to ignore, so I took away a generous wedge of coffee cake, which I enjoyed immensely later in the morning. Overall, it was well worth the visit.

My friend and I went to have a chat and a drink on Wednesday and I'm very happy to say that the hosts were so nice and very welcoming. We were so comfortable that we had stayed for over 3 hours without realising! It's bright, clean, prettily decorated and as I said the owners were lovely. I'll be going again for food and delicious cakes. Great service ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜€

Myself and two daughters aged 7 (yesterday) and 4 visited today and received a warm & friendly service. The girls enjoyed their finger sandwiches with crisps and cucumber sticks with milkshakes. I enjoyed the panini and diet coke. To finish the girls had a lovely and generous slice of the orange chocolate cake Great value at ยฃ2.50. The tea room is very clean and as road side parking. Definitely recommend.

A delightful little eating establishment in the heart of Wombwell, close to the shops. Very clean and tidy and the food is all home cooked and very presentable. Excellent value for money with a very friendly host who attends to your every need. Sandwiches, light lunches and specials are available daily and take outs as well. Afew tables and chairs just as you enter the premises and further seating available along the corridor. You can sit outside as well, when the weather is nice. Superb sausage rolls and cakes are a must to try and will definitely be coming again. Well worth a visit and it won't break the bank, afternoon tea is also on offer. What ever takes your fancy and nothing is too much trouble.

Outstanding service, excellent food and very friendly owner Maggie, who is the best supporter of the local community you could wish to meet. I generally go there at least once a week. If you've got a 4 legged friend they're dog friendly as well (dogs on leads) with a free sausage for pooch.

The Pear Tree Pantry

Cannon Hall Museum Park & Gardens, Bark House Ln, Cawthorne, Barnsley S75 4AT, UK | Cafe
P: 07501 999660

Rating: 4.9 (25) Price Level:

Great little place to enjoy coffee and food within the grounds of Canon Hall Farm. Staff very friendly and courteous, especially Paul who we chatted to whilst he kept the beautiful courtyard clean. A tranquil place to unwind whilst visiting Canon Hall Farm, made more amazing by the sunshine .

Rating: 4 / 5

An absolutely lovely cafe in Cannon Hall with brilliant staff, great little seating area, and a good range of food. Really good prices and caters for vegetarians with a small number of vegan options. They had a huge range of teas and both the tea and coffee tastes lovely. The only reason I didnโ€™t give five stars is that I would like to see more vegan options and less disposable plates and cups โ€” I noticed they were Vegware which is good but ideally would just have reusable things, especially for easy swaps like cutlery which could be reusable without too much to wash up. Also, would be great if condiments were not in the individual sachets and were just bottles that people could use to minimise waste๐Ÿ˜Š However, Iโ€™m really pleased with our visit and will be returning!

We go to the pear tree pantry three times per week. Walk out surviving mini schnauzer and always stop half way for a bite to eat and a cuppa. The food is excellent and a nice place. The flower shop is excellent too. Great place highly recommended.

Recently opened at Cannon Hall adjacent to the walled Garden . We have been several times now and had nice food and a cuppa. Owners Clive and Terri are friendly as are all the other staff. Cafe is tucked away under the archways seating outside (some covered) and small alcoves under cover . Parking is cheap in main car park (Barnsley Council) ยฃ1 for 2hours and then 5mins walk Definitely worth a look and good prices too ! More tables and chairs now to enable more customers to sit out ( some with umbrellas ) . They will make food not on the menu for you if they have the ingredients !

We went for Christmas Lunch today with friends. It was amazing the food was so delicious, we had a home made prawn cocktail to start which was so tasty then it was a choice of turkey or pork some of us had pork and our other friends had turkey both just melted in your mouth these were served with roast and mashed potatoes, roast parsnips pugs in blankets, stuffing ball, peas carrots, sprouts and the most amazing broccoli and cauliflower cheese and not forgetting the home made gravy. Bet had home made trifle and Geoff had christmas pudding and sauce plus mince pies but we were all too full. We have gone for a few years for our Christmas lunch because it is so lovely. Thanks to Janet and her team for a lovely time everyone is just so friendly. Anyone one who hadn't visited the tpot cafe you must it's wonderful tasty home cooked food. Diane Goodyear

Well this was unexpected. We came for the goats but the Scones stole the show. A wonderful dog friendly cafรฉ. With honestly the best scones I have ever had. Honestly this place is fantastic, dog friendly with a dog menu.

Simply AMAZING!! The food was unreal, I wanted to bathe in the gravy that came with my meal ๐Ÿ˜‚ the portions were very sizable and the price reasonable. Beautiful presentation too! The deserts are to die for! Such a great selection! Staff are lovely and remembered us from the previous visit ๐Ÿ˜Š The venue is very cute, it was so nice to sit in the garden by the river, catching the sun and listening to ducks play in the water ๐Ÿ˜Š Can't recommend them enough and will be coming back regularly!

We needed somewhere for lunch on our drive up to the seaside and stumbled across the Potting Shed. Unlike the name suggests, this is not a small shed but a huge, comfortable restaurant and cafe located in a large converted farmyard barn. The inside is simply stunning and worth a visit if you're into interior decoration or are considering converting an old building. The quality of the food also matches the interior and you can expect locally sourced products, cooked to perfection and served with a smile. The staff were genuinely super - efficient and professional, and were able to cope with the wide mix of customers. There were young mothers with prams, older couples, large families and dog walkers and yet everyone had plenty of space in the different rooms and everybody was welcomed. A great find!

Very nice food, but service was not the most attentive. The prices are also too high at breakfast and portions do not reflect the price. It was ยฃ7 for a sausage sandwich (two sausages on sliced white bread) which is double what I would usually pay in my local cafe and it would be in a fresh roll instead.

They said that they would decorate the table, chair covers and make cupcakes related to the theme. Honestly, I was blown away with how beautiful they decorated the space. Such thought to detail. Again, the staff remained so lovely and accommodating. The food was gorgeous and plenty of it! We will be returning for sure. We canโ€™t thank the staff enough, we had a wonderful afternoon.

Rivers meet has varied menu including gluten free options, using local produce. My kids love it because they have free wifi and they can enjoy their tablet time along with their favourite rocky road cake and when accustomed to environment they would start chatting to other cafe visitors- my kids (9 and 11) always ask to go there. Friendly staff and other customers, really busy during lunch time. I love the vintage mix and match plates, tea pots and cups, the decor, the little craft shop and the event posters of craft clubs/meet ups.
