Great service for a great price. Honest team who will treat you fairly. I recently moved to Barnsley with the wife and started shopping around for a local garage when we started having some car issues. After being shocked at some of the quotes from other local garages, like Evan Halshaw, for what I thought would be basic fixes, I was really happy and glad to find this garage. E.g. Evan Halshaw wanted to charge me over £200 in total to fix a door handle (buying the handle + labour etc). In the end, I bought the handle on eBay and the guys at Low Cost, fixed it on for a very reasonable (low) price. Genuinely just good guys. They earned my trust, and now I won't go anywhere else for anything car related. Especially because I don't know very much about cars, and I can feel here I ask everything I want, and get everything explained to me in a way I understand, so I don't feel stupid about it. It's good service from people with integrity. And for me, that really makes a difference.

A friend recommended this garage as the last garage I used ended up ripping me off. I took my citroen here for the fan belt changing. As my car is French it ended up needing more. The part was a bit of a nightmare to find for these guys but they did it. They did a fantastic job. Also took my ex wife's golf here for mot and it needed rear pads... Calipers and cv joint. All done the same day and a very good price. This will now be our regular garage.

Busy garage where staff were helpful and friendly, with a very professional service. My car had a fault that was previously fixed elsewhere but had come back again, just in time to fail an MOT! The Dearne Garage staff found the root of the problem and fixed it, giving me a more permanent solution, leading to an MOT pass and a very happy customer!

I can't recommend these guys enough. I've used them for all my services and repairs for the last 8 years or more, on both of our cars. I've recently been having issues with my passenger door lock, I've looked on a few forums and couldn't believe some of the prices people have been quoted from their local garages, not to mention the actual dearers (its a commen fault apparently). I sourced the part myself hoping it would help get the repair done a bit quicker. Dropped it off this morning and it was ready to pick up at 2 o'clock. All working as it should for a fraction of the price. l've found the mechanics here to be so helpful over the years. Since moving to Royston 2 years ago we have taken all our cars and my motorbike there for servicing and MOTs. The guys there are more than helpful and I usually end up stay longer having a good chat. They are extremely helpful if advice is required and are extremely fair on price. I won't go anywhere else anymore. I’ve used Queens Rd MOT since they opened and before they moved to the new site I’ve always found Alan 100% honest hard working and reliable. I’ve just read the review from Natalie Pounder and cannot believe what she is saying, how long did they have the car to put 250 miles on it( they have my cars all day and couldn’t put that many miles on ) I think her review is faulty not her car All staff are non confrontational kind and I think they will be very upset by the review from her

These guys are the best. Have been coming here for 12 years. Always a great price, always great customer service. They have saved us so much money over the years from the fear mongering Ford garage who will try any scam in the book to get a payment out of you for something, like trying to charge £400 for a new turbo, Darren takes a look, cleans some gunk out and it’s perfectly fine for the rest of the time we owned that car. They tell you how it is and trust with my life that they would only ever recommend changing and fixing things if it really needs it. Will be a sad day if this place ever closes, confidence in your mechanic is hard to find, were so lucky to have had Darren and Glen all these years. Too bad he supports Max Crashtapen 🤦‍♂️ if you guys every go… I think we’ll just not bother with a car anymore as I’ll never be able to trust a mechanic like I trust you guys. Honestly the best. Can trust them as though your family member was your mechanic.
