I found these guys on Google search after my car had broken down and I needed somewhere urgently to take my car. They fit me in on the same day, fixed the problem and had my car back to me by the end of the day. I thought it was going to cost an arm and a leg, so was very surprised when they gave me a really good price, £100s less than I'd imagined. Excellent and friendly customer service and very fair prices. Don't rip you off like some garages. I will definitely be using them again for future M.O.Ts and any problems with my car! Thank you!

Excellent service. We were on route from Newcastle to London and planned to go to the Railway Museum. On route through York we noticed a wobbling sound that didn’t sound very good at all. AMC were recommended to us by a local and we made our way there. Lucky for us the chap assessed the car and knew exactly what the problem was. He got the part from the parts supplier next door. He then showed us the new part compared to the old part that was causing the issue. Within an hour we were on our way. We are immensely grateful for the friendly, efficient and knowledgeable service we received! It saved us! Thank you! We got to the railway museum in time before it closed and are now on route home with a repaired car.

I will give this garage 10 STARS if there is an option. I'm giving all my stars to ACM motor services. I didn't have any appointment, so I walked in as my car needed urgent repair as I have failed my MOT (but still due for MOT). As I entered inside, a young boy greeted me, I said I need your help urgently to him and he called a man behind the car (I guess his father, it was not audible). I showed my failed MOT sheet to him and said I need to change my brake pads immediately and want my car. It was 11 am at that time. He took my paper and asked for my name and phone number and said he will call me as soon as he gets done. I said I need it by 2 pm, he said okay 👍. I handed over my key and received a call at 1 pm. While paying, I was short of £1 and he said, it's fine. It's fine. I felt shy 🙈 and again £5 short on another day 😌. I asked him if he could fix the rest after 2 days and still asking to give me the same day. He told me to come in the morning. I went back, he was a bit confused about our appointment dates (he still took my key) and gave the failed MOT sheet again and told that he will call me as soon as it's done. If ANYONE has broken down your car or needs urgent repair. I suggest ACM MOTOR SERVICES. It's just a 5 minute drive from York Minster, car parking is secured and available, the garage was neat and clean. Even after repairing we can give a test drive around his car parking area without any worrying. Again, if you go to this garage, you can save half the amount from which you have done from another garage. I saved £500 and I saved my time too. I'm happy and satisfied now. I am not saying that other garages are not. All are good. In the fast world, who wants to keep our car weeks at the service centre or wait for a month to get repaired 🚗 On first day, I asked him how much does it cost for fixing the break pads. He told £70 to £80 including labour cost. Where I was charged less than £200 somewhere else. Second day, I just came and gave the key. I wasn't worried about the charges 😍. Thirdly, HE is the only person I meet who can't say NO. He still was fully scheduled on the very day, still accepted me. (I tell due to appointment issues, time may differ). I have recommended a few of my friends to change or fix or get done immediately, visit ACM MOTOR SERVICES. Thank you 🙏 😊 🙏

Wouldn't go anywhere else and send all of my mates here too, Andy knows his stuff and you can rely on the work being done to very high standard and trust that you are not paying for work that isn't required. Allow some time when booking you car / van in his diary is always full because of these reasons.

Bardsey Garage Doors replaced our broken, wooden, double garage doors with a sectional, electronic, Hormann door. They did a great job at a good price. Everything was very easy from the initial quote through to installation. Garage door looks so much better Steve and Keith very helpful, friendly and professional. Highly recommend.

In summer 2024, we had our single and double garage doors replaced with Hormann sectional, insulated, garage doors. We chose Steve at Bardsey Garage Doors to do the work on the basis of his professionalism in providing both excellent advice and a very competitive quote. Of the three companies that we contacted, Steve’s quote was not only the most cost effective, but also for what on close inspection was the highest quality product, with better security, longer warranty, and higher speed of automatic operation than its competitors. Steve was able to advise us on the best way to install the single garage door to maximise the available width, and also on simple steps that we could take to ensure emergency access to the double garage that would enable us to avoid the need for a separate external emergency release mechanism on either door. Steve took measurements for the custom-made doors, and advised us on expected delivery times. Once he received the doors from the manufacturer, we quickly agreed dates for fitting. Steve did an excellent job of fitting the doors. The old doors were disposed of for recycling, the block work inside the single garage was cut back, and both doors were fitted without issue. Steve took care to finish the work off to a very high standard, replacing not only the wooden frame of the old double door, but also the attached timber work that was long past it’s best. The doors have now been in operation for around 3 months, and are working flawlessly. We keep our cars in the double garage and it is wonderful not having to get in and out to manually open and close the garage door twice a day, especially when it is raining! We have no hesitation to recommend Steve at Bardsey Garage Doors to friends, family, and neighbours. Steve communicates very well, does an excellent and very thorough job with no mess left behind, and the products that he uses are the very best there is.

Steve from Bardsey garage doors provided great customer service when fitting the new door, and most importantly the after-sales service was even better. I was unlucky enough to have encountered a manufacturer issue with the door after a couple of years. This was covered by the 10 year warranty offered and Steve kept me updated regularly and replaced the door within a week. Cannot recommend enough.

I HIGHLY recommend this garage. After driving to Sheffield from Brighton to collect my son from the English Institute of Sport, my car broke... I honestly can’t stress how amazing these lads are. I have many mot stations around my area but will travel 40 minutes away any day to have my car done with them. Outstanding service every time. I have been coming here for years for my mot and service. I totally messed up today and only booked in for MOT but wanted a Service to. No problem at all. The got it done in no time. They show me around the car and and will be honest if I need something. Upon looking at my tyres they reminded my back ones have a low tred but will last me at least 6 months so no pressure selling trying to get money out of you. Finally found a garage I can trust! The owners are very down to earth and honest. Exactly what you need. I had a couple problems with my car and was worried about it, so was desperate to have it fixed. Apex managed to fit me in even though were very busy, and they fixed it same day. Great, friendly garage. Went for a MOT and did not have fails so did not push the advisories on me. The prices I did ask for, were very competitive. Also great at communicating and keeping you up-to-date. Minor point is that it can be hard to find as the new signage is not finished yet so it doesn't say Apex anywhere. But it's the orange one!

Visited springwell motors with an electric car. Sean fitted me in last minute wasn’t expecting my car back for a couple days. Got a message by the afternoon saying it was ready for collection. That was a fast turn around.Collected the car late evening and had a what I feel a good chat with Sean and he seems very knowledgeable regarding the transition over to electric cars. I feel more relieved I’ve now found a garage that can look and possibly fix an electric car. I wish the best for Sean and his team with the transition to electric cars and he keeps building on this.

Electric Car owners !!!!USE THIS GARAGE !!!! My wife has a small electric car , she loves it . This January it had a charging problem . I looked on the Hevra website (they list electric car fixers) and got to Sean at Springwell Motors. Thank god I contacted him ,he has been brilliant . He sorted the electric car really quickly, rang us regularly to tell us how it was going, was totally upfront about the cost (so no surprises )and was generally excellent. I recently used M&J auto repairs to check a punctured tyre on my vehicle and I cannot recommend more highly! They checked my car and it turned out was a fault with the vehicle warning lights rather than a puncture. I do not know much about cars, especially with it being a new one and was astounded by how helpful and honest they are. I arrived later than attended and they still fit in me in on the same day. A lovely, helpful, honest and reliable service. Will 100% use again.
