What an amazing little find. Friendly atmosphere, great service and a belly full of really well cooked food. My main praise would be reserved for the value and great staff, especially Issam. Highly recommend!

Lovely meal here on Easter Monday . Then took a friend on the follow Saturday. Food and service was 1st class . The “singing” chef is mad as a box of fogs he made the night , how happy is he .. the Italian music played in the restaurant makes u feel like your in Italy (or was it the wine !) the waiter (think his name is Issam !? ) was attentive at all times . We loved it . Prices are very reasonable too . We will be coming back

Booked in last minute and the staff were super friendly and made room for us and our pram. We had a mixture of pasta dishes and fish dishes and they were all really delicious. The waitress we had was brilliant and made sure we had a great experience. We will definitely be back and will be recommending this lovely local restaurant to others.

Visited here last weekend and what a treat it was! A small restaurant but has plenty of character☺️ the staff were wonderful! The service could have been a little better but there were only 2 staff members and it wasn’t so slow that it ruined the evening 🤷‍♀️ A forewarning - the portion sizes are HUGE! We definitely over ordered but it was all delicious! Would definitely recommend going again!

We have visited many restaurants over six decades. The furnishings, decor, view and ambience at Thackeray's are amongst the best we have ever experienced. Importantly, of course, the food was excellent as was the service, and we highly recommend trying this restaurant.

So sorry I did not find this beautiful gem of a restaurant earlier. I enjoyed a lovely chilled lunch chatting with a friend. The food was tasty and fresh. Nice varied menu, I have already booked Sunday lunch with family for my Birthday. Absolutely loved the decor and ambience. Can't wait to bring other friends who would really appreciate this gorgeous restaurant. Definitely a recommend!

We had afternoon tea which was very tasty made with quality ingredients. Waiting staff not very attentive, would have liked them to check if we needed more tea, water etc Internal furnishings, very nice. We sat at a window seat, and outside is very picturesque

This a beautiful find within the Audley Retirement village (old YEB site) at Scarcroft - off the A58, before 'The Inn' at Scarcroft. This was our third evening visit and we were just as impressed this time as our first visit. What stands out? * Location and surroundings - stunning grounds (especially in summer), sympathetic deco to the buildings heritage and a general feeling of quality and luxury. * Staff - no snobbery, just nice friendly people who have time to chat and advise you. (From memory... Nicky, Shaun and Louise? + Plus chefs and bar/table staff). All Excellent. * Food / menu - simple and succinct dishes, that are done, very well. Excellent presentation. * Prices - very competitive. The drinks and wine list / selections are very good. Who would enjoy this venue? Those like us, who want to dress for the occasion! Those who would like special surroundings and treated like customers / guests should be. Its a great place for a special birthday, anniversary, romantic evening or just a treat!!! At the time of this review (July / Aug 2024) it's a quiet venue but I think that as the village takes up residents AND reviews like this hit the wider public, I'm sure it won't be so easy to reserve a table. Friendly service and giant portions. We were looking for a nice, quiet brunch with good food, and that's exactly what we got. Husband and I both got the Turkish breakfast with lattes, and were incredibly full by the end. (Kept us full to dinner!) We will definitely be back!

The owners are very inviting and respectful and treat you like family. Everything was perfect and the Iranian food was delicious 👌🏻 The seating is very comfortable, and they serve breakfast and lunch- thanks for the amazing service

The most authentic Korean restaurant in Leeds. Good vibe place and the staff were very friendly. They would explain well about different sorts of dishes if you are not familiar with Korean food. On top of it, the food was amazing. I’d definitely visit again next time I’m in Leeds.

This was our second time here. Big menu with many options, good vegetarian and pescatarian options. We didn’t like sitting downstairs the first time but the upstairs this time was much nicer. Staff are very prompt and nice. Love the food and will definitely be back!

Brilliant restaurant. Food & drinks were packed with flavour and perfectly made. Lovely & neat presentation of the food. A beautiful, child friendly clean venue in a great location with lots of free parking on street near by. Staff were polite and courteous.

Lovely restaurant. Enjoyed the food. However, we felt it's not quite as good as it used to be. Since they moved location the food just does not taste as good as before. Also, the portions have shrunk - though this seems to be the case for most restaurants. Has the owner changed? I remember the chefs used to be Korean, but in the kitchen I could not see any Koreans cooking - which may explain why the quality and taste isn't as good as before. The tofu was a bit disappointing, tastes quite flat and but not as nice as it was before. Drinks were a bit disappointing. The selection and quality could be improved. The environment is nice, fantastic views. I think there used to be a cafe here before. There is free parking outside. However, it's not their parking lot, it's used for the local park and other shops/restaurants. Great if you can find a spot to park. However, it's not the biggest car park. Spaces are tight and there aren't that many spaces. You will struggle to park on a weekend especially.

We had our choir Christmas party here lastnight. The food was delicious, the portion sizes were very generous and the staff were very attentive. Thank you for making the night out such a success. We will definitely be back

Had the most wonderful meal last night for my daughter’s 21st. Catered for party of 20. The food and service was amazing. Staff were so attentive and lovely. Would definitely recommend and will be back soon!

Great location, beautiful interior and exterior, very spacious with seating inside and out. Plenty to choose from on the food and drinks menu. Staff were extremely helpful and very polite. Service was fast and food game out quickly. We enjoyed starts, mains and dessert and everything was perfect. Would definitely recommend and will be returning

Honestly worth a visit. 100% recommend. Cannot fault them for anything. Food came out quickly and it was so delicious. If you pay a visit definitely try their specials. The staff looked after everyone impeccably and took care of our every need without fault.

Had my husband's 40th birthday along with 30 friends. The owner and staff were beyond amazing. Food, drinks and atmosphere was spot on. Great music and the whole place turned to a dance bar - everyone was saying how they had a fantastic time at a great place. Thank you!

Literally just walked out and what an amazing breakfast experience. Full cooked and cold breakfast buffet with high quality food. Absolutely stuffed and I would recommend this to everyone without a doubt. Thurs -Sat from 8.30am. Hoofin effort.

Been a couple times and the standard was great and pretty consistent. It's very good food and very reasonably priced (especially in this day and age). Kids options available. Good selection of drinks both soft & alcoholic.

Red Kit Shadwell came highly recommended, so we knew we had to give it a try. Our experience did not disappoint; the ambiance of the restaurant was welcoming, and the bar, with its bright and sophisticated appearance, was particularly impressive. The burger I had was delicious, bringing back memories of some of the finest burgers I've enjoyed in New York. My partner opted for the chicken burger—whose name escapes me—and it was equally satisfying. Having Madri on tap was a delightful addition, and the Sauvignon Blanc was so appealing that my partner had a second glass. We are eagerly anticipating our next visit to try the pizzas, which will be our choice of order. This restaurant is indeed a splendid discovery—you're sure to enjoy it!

We ordered for delivery from here throught Just Eat, even though i had never heard of the place. We took a risk and I'm so glad we did. We had a spicy pepperoni, cheese and bacon loaded fries, kids burger and garlic bread with cheese. All of the food was amazing but i especially enjoyed that the chicken and bacon on the fries were not fatty. Normally there is some pizza left for the morning but with Red Kite. The packaging is also recyclable *apart from separator for pizza. I would highly recommend here and can't wait to order again.

A place 10/10! The food here is from heaven! I heard about this place, and decided to give it a go. “Tochitura” was amazing, the polenta with the egg on top, the meat juicy, absolutely amazing. The “papanași” are something cannot be described, melting in your mouth, fresh, full of flavour, 11/10! Well done guys!

Acasa has recently opened its doors, bringing a taste of Romania in Leeds and an IMPORTANT addition for the Romanian community living in Leeds and surroundings. We were delighted by the delicious food and generous portions, making it a wonderful addition to the local dining scene. There is plenty of parking on the site and did not have any issues with finding a space. The surroundings are beautiful being situated at a golf centre. The prices are fair for the generous portions and a good selection of soft and alcoholic drinks. We don’t drink alcohol but if we did, we surely would have tried their welcoming drink “palinca”. We started our meal with aubergine and vegetable Romanian spread followed by sarmale, the traditional Romanian cabbage rolls filled with minced meat and rice. We also had traditional tochitură moldovenească which is to die for and everyone should try it at least once! All meals were cooked to perfection, with a rich, savory flavor that was truly comforting. The bread was homemade and really tasty. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the polenta was creamy and smooth, providing a perfect balance. To finish, we tried the papanași, Romanian doughnuts served with sour cream and cherry jam. While the food was exceptional, the service did have its slow moments towards the end of our visit. It took a bit longer than expected for our desert order to arrive, and there were occasional delays in getting our server's attention. However, considering it was their opening day, some teething problems were understandable. The staff was notably friendly and warm, making sure to acknowledge us and apologize for the wait. Their genuine hospitality added a personal touch to our dining experience, making the slight delays more bearable. In conclusion, Acasa is a welcome addition to the Romanian community in Leeds. I have no doubt this restaurant will become a favorite spot for many and surely we will return again.

We recently discovered this Romanian gem, and it’s hands down one of the best! The food is absolutely delicious and brings all the flavors of homemade Romanian dishes. It truly feels like savoring a meal made by family back home.🤩 Being far from Romania, this place is a perfect way to cure the longing for authentic Romanian cuisine. We tried pomana porcului and sarmale—both were fantastic! We also took home some soups and papanasi for later, and every bite was exceptional.👌 Portions are generous, and the option for takeaway is a big plus. We’re already looking forward to going back, and this spot has officially earned a place on our list of favorite restaurants in the UK. Highly recommended for anyone missing that true taste of Romania! ✨️✨️✨️

The wife and I went here on Friday night and luckily took the last available table. It was nice and warm in there and music volume just right. We ordered mixed grill for two at £38. It was absolutely delicious and more than enough. 10/10 here and great value. The red wine at £28 was not so great value. Staff were great but a little slow at times. Overall we left more than happy so 5 stars here.

Found this place by accident earlier this year and now can’t keep away! The food is definitely the best food this side of Athens! The service is always brilliant. Special shout out to Priya who always ensures a fabulous customer experience. Oh and they do frappe. As in real Greek frappe. I would pass by before taking a walk round the park and pick one up. My only suggestion would be, add ´Εψα to the drinks menu. It beats λουξ any day 😉

Ive spotted this gem so many times and decided to try it out and I'm so glad that I did. The staff were very friendly welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable especially the young waiter who served us he was brilliant clearly really taking pride in his job, taking care of customers, constantly checking everything imwas ok and generally keeping the place clean and tidy. The food was superb. The food was authentic hot & fresh off the grill accompanied by some warm Pitta triangles and of course some beautifully grilled tender & nicely seasoned lamb chops and pork. On the side was the very well dressed salad & some very tasty chips that were to die for. Rhis place has a cozy relaxed atmosphere ...It may look unassuming at a glance from the outside as they also have a take away next door. Believe me it is a great spot ...I'm looking forward to a 2nd visit really soon

Came for Sunday dinner with friends and we were blown away with the quality and taste! Best food we've had out in a very long time. Great service to boot. The deserts were also a culinary stroke of genius!

We had a five star experience at this hidden gem. We were treated to exceptional fine dining at a reasonable price. The food was so beautifully presented, it looked almost too good to eat! The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable too. Overall and wonderful experience which we’re very keen to repeat.
