Sri Lankan food was new to me so we had to try it and the whole experience was good. Interesting menu and nice surroundings and the staff were lovely too. We had a new chicken dish, lettuce lentil tacos, a (small) hake dish and a (small) wild mushroom dish. Added vegetable rice - 1 portion of rice was sufficient. The style was more tapas than typical south Asian curry- the dishes have a light touch. We enjoyed the £12.50 dessert- a mix of a few different puddings/cakes which were interesting. Cafe interior was attractive and the toilets good.

First time we giving a restaurant five stars for food, service and atmosphere. This place changed my perception of Sri Lanka food as my ignorant self thought was only thick curry similar to Indian. The food is top notch, refreshing curry that I finished every drop of, huge hake mallum is just something extraordinary which I've never tasted before. Must order the mallum and king prawn curry. Even the side dish of rice is so soft and fluffy, I am going to ask them where I can get the rice. Service is attentive and friendly, and seating is comfortable, great interior design. I'd go on but best that more people try this place for themselves. Totally worth paying the price. We ordered four tapas, a side and a dessert and we had already overeaten.

Best meal out in ages. Food was excellent, especially the fish cutlets and the aubergine. Wide range of meat fish and veggie options. Service was polite and attentive. Water delivered to table without asking. Manager visited individual tables to check everyone was happy. Highly recommend. Will definitely visit again

My mum and I ate here before going to see a play at Ilkley Playhouse. Neither of us eat red meat so I was a little worried after perusing the menu! But we needn't have worried, there's plenty of choice for vegetarians and all of the food was delicious! We went for the cold meze, garlic bread and a Turkish salad. The place was beautiful, the food was delicious and the staff were really friendly. Definitely recommend.

Delicious food and excellent service. We ate early and the weather was bad, so there weren't many customers to create a good atmosphere. Shame it wasn't better supported.

We came here around 7pm, and it is a little hard to park our car.(The entry is hard to find) We ordered one bottle of red wine (which one cute guy recommended it, it was sweet and flavorful) Also, the starters are delicious too, we loved Ezme, and we asked more one of it😄 The main is also good, but not as great as the starter. The service is 5/5 Atmosphere is 4/5 Food 4/5

This restaurant has managed to remain unchanged in its appearance for over 40 years! It’s a wonderful period piece but with a very up to date set menu which managed to please a picky octogenarian and her slightly younger children. The food tastes delicious and the wine list is good value too.

Enjoyed the Saturday lunch menu. The food was as good as any other Michelin restaurant I’ve dined at. The staff were friendly, and engaging about the food and drink. I couldn’t fault it at all. I will definitely return. Next will be the Sunday lunch and then the dinner service. Very good value for money too.

First visit but definitely not our last! This was an amazing night of tasting great food served by great staff. Great atmosphere I can’t explain in words how great every part of the evening was the food took centre stage. Many thanks to every member of staff from the front of house to the chefs.

Saturday three course lunch. Well had decided on two courses, but with food quality like this, the third course was just not to be missed. Carrot and Parsnip soup followed by melting slow cook beef, mash and veg. finished off with a delightful plum crumble with ice cream. Top top mark all round

Went as a group of about 12 on a Sunday. The food was amazing, especially the caramelized onion bread to start, and the honey carrots with the roast!

Very good place. Child and dog friendly. Excellent range of beers and wines, although it's not cheap. Great selection of meat and cheese and sandwiches to fill up the corners.

Absolutely stellar of a find! We were staying really close and came across this lovely micro pub Great Spanish food, the most delicious olives, cheese and ham! Enjoyed every morsel! We sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere of whilst having a few drinks…bliss!

Great vibes, lovely staff, good service and nice food! The stew in particular is super tasty - my only wish would be for alternative to lentils (as not everyone reacts well to lentils). A bean version of the stew perhaps? We really enjoy our visits to Friends of Ham, especially for the live music, when we are able to get tickets.

Called in as we love the one in Leeds. The olives and padron peppers were delicious, as was both our toasted sandwiches. Nice cold pint of veltins to wash it down. Dog friendly

It is a place to visit. The restaurant is cozy and the atmosphere is quiet. Great food and great restaurant especially the terrine with plum sauce and the rest of the food was a pleasant surprise. Alex the waitress was a great host.

A small group of us(16) had afternoon tea in the restaurant recently. All cakes, sandwiches and homemade sausage rolls absolutely delicious and staff were very pleasant and attentive. They also accomodated gluten free and vegetarian requirements. Will definitely go again.

Wonderful experience, the food was excellent and the service attentive, without being intrusive. As this restaurant is in a retirement complex it won't necessarily suit everyone's taste, but it is more than worth the effort to sample the afternoon tea. The other meals served while we were there also looked lovely.

We held a meeting there. Excellent service and the staff very accommodating. The facilities up there are excellent to host a small meeting. The food was excellent and customer service was excellent. I will certainly be hosting another event up there is the summer as they have excellent view of the Wharfe valley and dogs are allowed on the patio area.

I’ve eaten at Pranzo quite a few times but I booked the private dining room for my 30th in January 2025. The service and food were incredible and every member of staff went above and beyond. They were really open and helpful in planning everything and it was really special. Would recommend!

I had wanted to come here for a while, so I booked it for my work leaving do. I had pre-booked the meal options as the restaurant wanted our experience to run smoothly. The lobster and prawn arrancini was beautiful, the lobster sauce was lovely, the portion was a little big but a great start. I had the Cornish crab and chilli pasta for my main, which was packed with crab meat and really tasty. The portion looked a little on the small side, but with the starter I had, it wasn't bad. My colleagues mostly had great starters but the pasta for their lobster and prawn ravioli mains seemed to be a bit thick and tough. When the bill came, they'd overcharged us on some of our drinks but when we talked to our waitress she was really quick to change it and in the end they waivered the service charge for us. I will come back again when the restaurant has settled in a bit more after relocating to Ilkley.

Delicious food in lovely surroundings. Great little restaurant which obviously is popular locally as it was packed on a Tuesday evening. Great service and delicious food. Slightly pricey but then of the food is so good thats not an issue. The chilli garlic prawns were particularly good and the fresh pasta amazing

Fantastic homemade pasta. Burrata starter followed by goats cheese & sun dried tomato baked Cannelloni, with a delicious basil pesto for my main course. My second visit here for lunch. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, great venue.

Great food. We were a party of 6 and opted for one of each of the tapas style dishes on the menu. All the dishes were outstanding. We also tried the cocktails which were equally good, highly recommend the Old Fashioned.

Great meal for Mum's birthday. 8 of us, so got to taste most of the offerings! Staff were delightful. Food was bang on. Particularly delicious - the caramelised onions on that steak! Salmon was lush. Also loved the carrots and the camembert! Food comes out piece-meal - so if you're a stickler for a straight-forward starter then a main course, or you'd like something to come out sooner rather than later and jump the queue - I'd suggest specifying to the staff up-front.

Lovely impromptu early meal in Ilkley. Big fans of the new menu, having tried a bit of everything on the old menu a couple of months back, when we had a big family get together. The pork loin, chorizo & chickpea stew was perfect. And the Cod was cooked beautifully - flaking away, as it should. Going early before the rush, it was nice to start the meal with a drink sat at the bar.

The first time I visited was good. I visited for a second time yesterday with my partner and we had an amazing meal. Chicken wings and pork belly for starters - the sauces were great and the pork belly was particularly delicious. We had the sirloin steak which was cooked beautifully. I got fries but my partner's chunky chips were even better. We had crème brûlée for dessert - also great. I had cocktails, which were well made and there was a good selection. The Old Fashioned was particularly good. The staff were pleasant and welcoming, they cleared our plates and took our orders quickly, and were very attentive. Thank you for a wonderful evening - we will return!

Went for husband's birthday. We were the only people in the restaurant, however this was likely due to it being the day after Mother's Day and a Monday evening. Food was delicious. Mixed sharing platter was excellent, great choice if you can't decide what to order! Both had steaks for main which were cooked well, and the chunky chips were amazing! Also tried some bone marrow gravy which was really rich and tasty. Puddings were brownie and creme brulee which were lovely. Long island iced tea cocktails were also good. Service was excellent, very attentive waiter, however we were the only customers so cannot comment what it is like when busy. Will definitely be returning!

Anniversary weekend, so we thought we would try Ilkley Cow as we both love our food and the ratings looked good and reviews to match it. For starters we ordered the Teriyaki Pork Belly Skewers & Shell on Argentinian Tiger Prawns. The Skewers were delicious, Tiger Prawns taste was nothing amazing but still set a good starting point before mains. Mini Steak Sampler & Glazed Pork Belly for mains. Pork Belly was like butter, melt in your mouth gooeyness with the the crackling on top to finish the layers. The Steak Sampler was good, too much salt flakes covering the plate which for me was a little overpowering on the steak but it’s personal preference as my partner liked it. FYI I thought the chunky chips would be a crispy beast of a chip but sadly not, still tasty just let down when seeing previous images so use that as a reference for the future. Unfortunately we had a slide issue with one of our dishes but after speaking with our waiter who was sincere and apologetic we continued on with our meal with no problems and full bellies. This place has been on my visit list for a while and we were not disappointed! Came as a family for a celebration meal at 5pm on a Friday and the place was lovely and quiet, we had one whole side of the restaurant to ourselves more or less the whole time ! We had the sharing platter for starters, everything on it was absolutely delicious, in particular the scotch eggs!! Me and my partner shared the special tomahawk steak for 2 which was to die for with the chimichurri sauce on!!! All the sides were gorgeous too and my little boy loved his kids steak! Highly recommend and would definitely love to return to try more of the menu!! Would like to say our waiter was absolutely lovely too !!!! Thanks 😊

Hidden above another shop but right off the carpark. Italian style menu including a good selection of seafood options. Afraid we were hungry on arrival so forgot to take the photos before tucking in, may have spoilt some of the chefs presentation but you can see what wad inside now 😅

I've eaten here several times and always enjoyed the food. The service is friendly and helpful without being at all intrusive. I'll definitely be back (again).

Lovely early dinner with the family. Kids menu had a great choice and the set menu was really good value.
