“I had a fantastic dining experience at Iris! The blue cheese arancini for starter was a standout with its well-balanced flavors and lovely texture. The confit duck leg for the main course and the golden snitch for dessert were equally delicious. The service from the staff was excellent. We will definitely be returning for more delicious meals! There was also a good atmosphere in the restaurant… it was busy but not too loud which a good selection of music playing.”

“What a wonderful restaurant! Made to feel welcome as soon as we stepped foot inside the door. Very pleasant and friendly staff, who catered to our every need. Food was to a very high standard, with lots of different things to choose from. Particularly enjoyed the deep fried pizza dough bites alongside the olives and regular breads while we perused the menu. They were very light and tasty, will look forward to them next time! A comprehensive range of drinks were available too. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, and everyone in our party of 6 were well looked after. Will definitely be returning very soon!”

“We visited on a Monday night, expecting it to be quiet, yet there were plenty of people in. Which I'm guessing why this place has favourable reviews. I had the Spicy Tandoori Lamb Chops to start, followed by the Spiced Cinnamon Duck. The chops were ever so slightly dry (I prefer them nice and juicy), but the flavour was great. The main course however was a revelation! I must admit, it doesn't look amazing in the photo, but it tasted fabulous. If a little pricey at £19.95. The service was great and the staff were friendly. The place looked clean and done up like you'd expect a lot of Indian restaurants to be. I'll definitely be visiting again.”

“We planned a birthday dinner and visited the venue earlier in the day for some drinks. Some of the staff were exceptionally attentive, anticipating our needs with great detail. The indoor cinema and outdoor play area for kids are a bullseye 🎯 - quite obviously, the team behind it knows what they’re doing. The dishes, which have an American signature, are excellent. However, they can be quite rich. The smoked chicken and beef were outstanding, and the sides were generous, with the maple sauce being a standout. The atmosphere is inviting and relaxing, and the staff are very friendly. Plenty of parking, and the venue is easily accessible. A couple of areas for improvement: When our mains arrived, we weren’t provided with fresh plates and cutlery, as the ones from our starters had been cleared. Additionally, while we appreciate the warm service, we found that addressing guests with phrases like “thank you, boss” can feel impersonal, and somewhat distant.”

“Decided to go here after seeing their Facebook posts. Food looked amazing on there but omg still wasn’t prepared for good it would be! Blooming onion was perfectly seasoned. Sauce was lovely. Had the fillet steak burger. Was so tender and well cooked.. Service was also second to none! Their attention to detail wasn’t too much but not too little. Loved the ambience! Well done guys!”

THE LITTLE BULL MIDDLESTOWN
72 New Rd, Middlestown, Wakefield WF4 4NR, UK

“Well for a start, you carn’t go wrong calling this pub the little bull. Every window has a blue bull printed on it. At the front of pub is a big blue bull printed on it. The entrance door is blue. The window blinds are blue. Inside the decoris blue. They took out the two log open fires. They took away all the bar stools. Theirs a bandit gambling slot money machine standing at the bar now. Bandit gambling mchines in the pool table room. I got half glass of sparkling cider. I gave a ten pound note to the bar tender. He was busy and looking and talking to his next customer. I had my change nearly thrown at my hand and missed. I was not impressed. I visited the pub a few months ago. I got a pint of John smiths bitter. I took the glass of John smiths outside and sat on the new bench. I was waiting for my bus. The bustop right outside the little bull. My bus came before I had time to drink my John smiths. I got on the bus with my pint of John smiths in my coat pocket. The bus driver did not see me. The manager of the little bull was watching everything. He saw me getting on the bus with a pint glass of John smiths. I was unaware of this. I didn’t mean to do it. I wasn’t thinking straight. Next time I went in the little bull. The manager was ready for me. He said I should be barred. He served me a drink. I have since on my eBay. Bought the manager of the little bull. Pint glass of John smiths. Costing me £8.50.I have it right now and I’m taking the glass down to the little bull today at 2pm. They do not serve cooked food. Or even a cold sandwich. Just crisps and nuts. Round the back of the blue little bull. They have took away all the garden furniture and umbrella shades. All the swings and slide have gone. Their is a couple of benches with no umbrella shades. Thanks for the read.”

“My spouse & I have today very much enjoyed a £10.50 pp lunchtime meal, fish & chips x2. Unsoggy fish, and melting chips - exceptional quality, and not a very long wait. Some unusually good musac, kinda 70s I think, and not drowning out talk.”

“This place is amazing for a sunny day. We wanted a pub lunch, and that's what we got. Didn't look like much from the outside but go around the back, and there's plenty of places to sit. The place is clean, the staff are friendly. We ordered sharing nachos to start with, followed by chicken and bacon burger and hunters chicken (see photo's attached). Portion sizes and the quality of food were great. Food came out pretty quickly, and the service was great as it was busy as well. The dessert was a ok, only thing that let it down was the fudge cake itself was a little over done and dry on the edges but there was plenty of cream and chocolate sauce to sort that out. Overall, this was a pleasant surprise how nice it was, and I'll definitely be visiting again.”

“I had the pleasure of dining at Silkwood farm, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The food was delicious, with every dish perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing meal. What truly set this visit apart, though, was the exceptional service. Lizzy, our waiter, was outstanding! She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. She took the time to ensure we had everything we needed and even gave great recommendations from the menu. It’s rare to find someone so genuinely kind and dedicated to making your dining experience special. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. Great food, great ambiance, and amazing service thanks to Lizzy! I’ll definitely be back soon.”
