Our first visit and certainly not our last! We came to Sapori to celebrate my birthday with my family and it was excellent. The service was amazing from minute one with the right amount of attention to us and very helpful recommendations with ordering. We had starters and mains. The food portions don’t look huge but honestly they are made with such flavour and richness that it is the perfect amount. I personally had the salmon tortellini and it was beautiful and I believe the ragu was a hit with my parents! My brother hate the Nutella pie dessert which was simply divine. Wine was also pleasantly wonderful which was clearly imported rather than chemicalised British wine (basically, we felt like we were in Italy). And to top it off, we were given free limoncello to celebrate my birthday! Thank you to the Sapori team, we will be back.

This is the first time we have visited Sapori, but definitely not the last. The food was fabulous, tried food not had before and the staff were great, explained everything and answered our questions. Had lobster ravioli with linguine. Fantastic. Will be back soon.

Lovely restaurant, with great atmosphere and friendly, welcoming service. The food is gorgeous and beautifully presented, with a nice selection to choose from , that has changed each time I have been so there is always something different to try. Definitely recommend and a great addition to Lindley.

The perfect visit. This is not your usual Indian Restaurant. The quality of food and presentation is top drawer. A nice touch was when the chef came to ask how the meal was going. Recommend the Biryani

Had a wonderful meal here last night. All from the Vegan section of the menu. Went for the hot versions of each meal. Spicy and tasty. Highly recommended 10/10 👌🏻

Amazing food and service. Really interesting menu not like a standard Indian some really interesting dishes made with very high quality ingredients and cooked to a very high standard. Best in the area by a mile and if you were lucky enough to find something this good in London you would pay 5 times the price. Staff are very good, very attentive and polite. Been quite a few times now and always been top notch. Highly recommended.

Well I must say this is up there with the best curry I have ever had. The prawn starter was amazing. I never had a prawn as big. The lamb main was lovely. The meat was so tender 👌 even had the pleasure of talking with the owner as he came to our table. The staff were really nice too. Overall very impressed.

Absolutely amazing food, we stopped here in the morning for a croissant and a biscotti to keep us going then stopped again after a walk to have some hot food. We had a slice of pizza and the mushroom arancini which were both delicious, the base of the pizza was so soft and fluffy. The service was great, really good prices considering the quality of the food and all the staff were friendly.

We visited Prendi on their open day in Marsden and were so impressed by the quality of the food and the atmosphere that we decided to celebrate a special 30th birthday here. The sun was shining and we ate pizza and drank lovely drinks with Italian music playing in the background. Mark was wonderful and helped me to coordinate banners, a birthday cake and a bottle of fizz for the birthday boy! Thank you again, Team Prendi 🇮🇹 we are so lucky to have this little gem at the cabin in the village! Roll on the arancini days!

Great coffee, wonderful pizza, amazing biscotti (not the hard things that u break your teeth on but lovely crusty but sticky and soft pastry type things….stunning!) and brilliant arancini all made on site by the very talented owner. Lovely little courtyard, covered seating, order at the hatch and away you go!

Great food, had a booth wood burger, the Mrs had a lamb burger. Both were well presented and tasted great. Good selection of drinks behind the bar. All staff were excellent, attentive and helpful. It's a lovely pub, some good outdoor seating. Will call again.

Excellent pub. Really cosy and welcoming feel. Staff were good. Food was excellent. Had the duck bon bons to start which had a nice crispy coating and then great duck flavour. The burger was good, maybe a bit less juicy than I’d really like but great flavours and you could tell the chef was preparing everything fresh and with care. The chips were amazing. Crispy and cooked in beef fat so full of flavour. It was busy so definitely book in advance. They also had a live musician start around 6pm which really suited the atmosphere of the pub. It’s not far from the Saddleworth exit on the M62 so defo worth visiting if you’re looking g for a stop off away from a service station.

Great food! Lovely friendly staff and great Music on a Friday night. Also the outdoor seating area is brilliant too! What more do you need.

I have eaten here several times now and each time I have enjoyed myself. The food is tremendous and good value. I couldn’t believe the size of the fish I was served- it was ginormous! The staff are always very welcoming, very courteous and polite. Sarah, Jane, Mirella and Molly served us yesterday, with either food or drink. Hats off to the ladies and the chef! I would recommend this pub very highly.

We called over to “Slawit” and as we walked along the canal spotted on the other side a vibrant lively cafe called Northern Sole. We were curious to see what “street food” offerings were available. We chose a “Rude boy” and a Mac and cheese with Chorizo- WOW - great tasting food and very reasonably priced. We had the option to dine inside or outside as they are very dog friendly. Luke and the team were attentive to all our needs and Roxy’s too, we can only give them a five star review for a perfect visit!

While out on a walk we came across this cafe by the canal, and what a lovely place! It was great from the minute we arrived, greeted by the staff with a smile, great coffee, ordered a fried egg and mushrooms in a brown teacake with brown sauce and it did not disappoint at all, devoured it completely and savoured every bite, highly recommended 👏🏽🫶🏽

Service and atmosphere here is very warm and welcoming! Carl in particular, very friendly. Sitting at the front, he greeted all his customers with a smile, ensuring all was acknowledged!! Couldn't fault it at all! There was a little wait, but a popular place like such is bound to be! A rule of thumb in any business, if they're busy, they must be doing something right to have a great footfall! The food was brilliant, I had a toasted bloomer sandwich washed down with a cappuccino. The bread in particular was a major highlight; Deep thickly sliced, mouth watering lightly crispy on the outside, succeluntly soft as a marshmallow in the inside! Deeply filled, with a cheese string pull in every bite! It definitely hit the spot!! The warm welcome aside, the hospitality will definitely be remembered, given the fact I was fed 'on the house' Thank you very much to the team at Northern Sole Café!!!

Best steak pie I ever had. Proper pie with short crust pastry filled with quality meat. None of this stick a bit of puff pastry on a bowl of stew nonsense! Vegetables were cooked just right with boiled beetroot as a surprise addition. Service was good, location is excellent with great views and it's not over priced. Get yourselves round there.

Popped in for a bite to eat with family last minute. The food was great and the service was excellent. 3 of us had the Pizzas and we would recommend them and the Garlic Chicken was lovely. Will be going back again to try some more of the Pizzas 🍕 😋

Back 4 times in 2024. I dare anyone to say they have a bad meal here, the food is epic. Absolutely 1st class. £16.00 will get you top restaurant quality food, these guys know how to cook. Update:sept 23. The best just got better, the beef and the fish, as walk-ins (didn't book) amazing. The beef was perfect, the fish cooked to perfection. These guys know how to cook. Really good traditional pub food, nice atmosphere, this is more of an eatery than a pub as the bar area is small. Staff are friendly, good good, nice beer, great views and a superb way to spend an afternoon after a walk around the local area... Not bad to nip in to for a quick bar snack and a pint also.

Friendly and relaxed yet efficient service. Fresh, simple and tasty food served quickly and reasonably priced. A good selection of drinks and lovely canal side seating. Strongly recommend!

Superb friendly attentive staff, lovely location and amazing food. What more could you ask for? I had the roast ham sandwich and chips. My wife ordered the chicken and pesto panini. Great fresh flavours. Well recommended! New menu in photos guys!

Great place to have a lovely lunch! Good quality food with a great atmosphere and accessible for everyone! When I was reading through the reviews before I came to the lovely wine bar I did see a comment about the owner having there Range Rover on the tow path and I did mention it to the staff and they were so kind to answer they said the only time the owners car is there is for rubbish to be put inside of there car or to unload shopping for the wine bar which is very understandable and if you are in a wheelchair or have any other disability you just have to let the owner or one of the great staff members know and the owner will happily move there car! I have come here so many time now and never had a problem!

Enjoyable pretty atmosphere, felt almost abroad out on the little river terrace, mid-range cost but very enjoyable and the food and wine was lovely!

Wow...I will find it difficult to put into words how amazing our overnight stay with evening meal and breakfast here was. I'm sorry I didn't take names but from the moment we entered the bar the staff were all extremely helpful and attentive. Food...it blew our minds. Great value for money, fresh ingredients, beautiful presentation and so tasty. Have booked a return visit 😃.

First time visiting here today. I can only say that this restaurant deserves five stars all the way. As someone who is keen to provide feedback based on my own unbiased observations, I can categorically say that the gents toilets were in fabulous condition, which is not often the case with food-serving establishments. The food took twenty minutes to arrive, but I was in no way disappointed. Attached to this review are images of the succulent Roast Beef Sirlion that I had for lunch today. Perfectly cooked, served with a smile, just amazing service. I spoke with a gentleman working there in a senior capacity, Connor, and highlighted my hugely positive delight for everything since I was seated. If you are considering visiting The Malthouse, then please do! You will honestly not regret it.

We had a lovely time and meal here. We had a large family group and got put in the upstairs room. Food was pre ordered and very nice. Puddings were pretty small and bland but other than that all good. A lovely decorated place.

I have eaten here about 5 times now and I absolutely love this place. The food is awesome, the service is spot on and if you sit out back the views are pretty nice too. I went on a Monday at about 4pm and a lot of the menu was half price so that was an extra bonus.

Such a fantastic location looking down the valley. The room was lovely and the girlfriend was over the moon for her birthday. Super choices for dinner and a great breakfast, all cooked and presented well. All staff were welcoming, polite and chatty. Room 5 with its freestanding bath is superb.

Really friendly and loved it being a real pub and not some so called fake gastro wine bar.

I love this pub. Some might say it's outdated or old. Personally I think that's what give it its charm, it hasn't changed since I was a teenager. It's cozy with real fires. Not the electric rubbish. The food is awesome, the landlord is a character. I've seen reviews that say he is rude.utter rubbish He's a yorkshire man straight talking. We celebrated my birthday here, the food is amazing the deep fried black pudding is something I've never had, but will definitely be back for some more delicious. Reasonable prices home cooked food with quality ingredients.
