Fabulous birthday lunch. Staff were super friendly. Food was amazing. Great selection and really difficult to choose as wanted to try everything. We’ll definitely look to return soon. The only thing to make Norman’s even better would be a couple more veggie options.

Wonderful meal! A real treat for foodies looking for well-curated and unique dishes. We especially loved the stone bass (expertly cooked) and mackerel tart nibbles. The staff were all lovely and helpful, attentive without being overly so. Perfectly-sized place too. Would love to come again soon and try the new menu rotation!

After reading so many positive reviews, we had to try Norman's. However, trying to book a convenient date and time wasn't easy as it is so popular. Eventually booked and visited yesterday evening and we were so glad. It lived up to its excellent reputation, amazing food, first class service and a relaxed, warm ambience. It's currently the number one restaurant on TripAdvisor for Huddersfield and it's certainly worthy of this position. Definitely a venue for repeat visits.

Went for my birthday and had a wonderful time. Staff are really pleasant and accommodating, service was excellent and the food was fantastic. Decent range of options to choose from, could have ordered all of it! Really unique flavours and dishes that tasted amazing. Got a free birthday drink on arrival too! Will definitely go back.

“Back up from London for a week to see family and this absolutely slapped. Love seeing Caribbean food in the local area....”

Nestled in Skelmanthorpe Community Centre, this Jamaican food pop up is a great addition to the village of Skelmanthorpe. Food is authentic and service is friendly and prompt. We had a nice chat about what different menus could be available in the future and will definitely be back to try. The food was spicy but still full of flavour and taste and I would recommend every item on the menu.

These were at Todmorden market for the Friday Meet Market and I had the Curried Goat and it was delicious. The 2 people on the stall were friendly and went out of their way to check the ingredients to make sure it was safe for someone with allergies. I found out that they are on Hebden Bridge Market on Saturdays and Sundays, I will definately be popping over for more of theor food.

I had the goat curry at Todmorden Battle of the bands at the meet market: I have to say it was absolutely spot on… not had one like that for a very long time. And both ladies that were there were lovely! If you see them…. Try them 💯

We called in on Thursday after finding OliveMae’s Kitchen on Facebook. We were greeted warmly as if we had known each other for ages. Although quiet when we visited the music and ambience were perfect for a lunchtime visit. Our food arrived promptly and piping hot and service with a smile is an understatement!! My wife ordered the large jerk chicken rice and peas whilst I got the medium jerk chicken rice and peas and a portion of the fried chicken. The portions were massive and when we pointed this out the owner laughed and told us she “was known for having heavy hands”!!! The food was well cooked and the flavours were amazing!! We usually travel to Oldham for our jerk chicken fix but we have now found a firm favourite here so much so that we ordered Curry Goat and Chickpea Curry to take out for lunch the following day. If you love your Caribbean food this is the place you need to visit. We cannot wait to return.

Beautiful food. Classic real tasting Italian food. The owner who works there is a very charming man, really wants to make a fuss over his customers. The waitress who served me also very charming and sweet. The food was cooked perfectly for both me and my friend.

It’s always such good food whenever we come here! Tonight we came for a birthday and they bought us a cake and sang for us! 10/10 place best Italian around. So much choice and good quality food

Managed to fit two of us in without a booking, the place was very busy which is always a good sign, best to book ahead! We enjoyed a selection of starters rather than a main course which were all delicious. The tiramisu for dessert was amazing. We will definitely be back

We made a last minute decision to visit Ti Amo and I am so pleased we did! Thankfully they were able to find a table for us due to a cancellation and we were made to feel very welcome by the manager and his team of staff. The food was fresh and very tasty! It was brought to the table piping hot and served with a smile. Thankfully we had room for dessert and I highly recommend the cheesecake. Overall a lovely spontaneous meal out, our first visit but certainly won't be our last.

Amazing dinning experience at this beautiful location! With a popular pub/bar at the entrance and multiple rooms for dinning upstairs. Great selection of drinks and local beers which is essential! Limited parking outside but street parking also available. Stunning range of tempting food with very imaginative ingredients. Perfect atmosphere with space between tables which adds to the personal space during the meal. Highly recommended delisous food.

Excellent in every way - Our Sunday lunch in the upstairs dining room next to a window, White linen tablecloth, serviettes. Cheerful staff and food beautifully cooked and served. A very memorable meal for the three of us. Will hope to visit with other members of my family. Thank you. Pat M.

**revisit required with Mrs** A business lunch stop today at this lovely pub 🍻 and restaurant. It's a beautiful pub, very clean and cosy. I didn't try any ale due to driving, but the cappuccino coffee ☕ was spot on. We had a good chat in the bar and when the table was ready we were escorted through. The staff were great 😃 and very friendly. We ordered mains only and they came out within 15-20 minutes. I had the Hake Steak and it was very tasty 😋 probably one of the best I've had. Loads of flavour and the plate was left clean 🤩 Good accessibility ♿ for all A big car park just up the road, 100m say. And some parking 🅿️ available on the side street also. The toilets 🚻 were clean and tidy. Fantastic visit and I can't wait to go back and try a 3 course meal 😋🤩 Thanks for hosting us 🧡👍🤩

A foodie paradise from a chef who has built a fantastic reputation locally especially previously at The Farmers Boy in Shepley. Front of house was pleasant and efficient and all staff were knowledgeable and attentive. We booked last minute and would recommend pre booking at any time. We had Friday lunch today 13-09-2024. Caesar salad with a side of topped fries and lambs livers, 1 IPA and an Italian lager for £50.00. An absolute bargain and fantastic food. The pub is dog friendly, wheelchair accessible and has ample parking 100m away. We intend to make this a regular appointment! Would recommend without hesitation.

First time at the Vault . My only complaint would be, do the customers leaving not know how to close the door. The food was excellent. Tasty , fresh and delicious. A table of four , choosing two bottles of wine, sharing platter for a starter and small plates as tapas etc. the bill was £118 and was well worth it. Customer service was very efficient and friendly . Only three visible staff working to a full restaurant as we arrived and nearly the last table to leave . Will definitely call at the Vault again.

Went to Volare to celebrate a family birthday and we had an excellent time. The staff were very polite, efficient and the service seamless. The food was delicious and I say this as someone who has experience of Mediterranean food. Finger-licking meatballs. Thoroughly recommend.

Lovely interior, and there’s parking in the nearby Co-op. We went after seeing it advertised on Happy Cow and, true to the reviews, there were lots of vegan options - tapas, mains, and desserts. Even the wines were labelled as such. The food was excellent and the service second to none. It was pricey for a midweek meal out for us but not complaining as everything was quality. We’ll definitely be back!

Follow The Pecking Order 23 on Facebook for all our reviews. Overall experience 9.4/10 Food 9/10 Service 9.9/10 Cleanliness 10/10 Atmosphere/Setting 9/10 Value 9/10 This House is through the roof!! A nice location. Ample parking at the back. Overall this was a very satisfying experience. The service started brilliantly. We were greeted at the bar by the Head Waiter who instructed his staff to seat us at our prebooked table. Our drinks orders were taken and then the Head Waiter came over to inform of the Specials on the menu and the soup of the day. A short wait for our drinks followed by our usual mix of starters. We had the scallops which were on the specials menu. These were cooked perfectly, sat on a cauliflower puree, a thoroughly enjoyable dish.. The Duck Orange Pate had a good flavour and was seved with a chutney, which slightly overpowered the pate and bread. The wild mushroom arancini, the only real disappointment of the meal, was a little bland, we couldn't really taste the mushrooms and garlic if there was any present though great texture. The marinara sauce they sat on was a good strong clean and fresh flavour. We had the beef sirloin Sunday Roast main course served with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes , mash and vegetables. The beef was cooked to perfection and the gravy was exceptionally delicious. Mash was smooth and creamy and well cooked vegetables. The horseradish served with it had good kick, and seemed to be homemade with real grated horseradish. We had to try the seasonal bonfire parkin cake. Although nice and a bit different from the usual menu desserts it was in need of some more sauce or ice cream. The sticky toffee pudding was light and full of flavour. The blackberry parfait was a little bland lacking the punch of blackberry I was hoping for, but pleasant enough. Although the food was very good overall, it was the service which was outstanding at this place. We were offered drinks at exactly the right moment, we were checked on to see if everything was OK, the staff were all courteous and respectful, taking care to apologise for any interruptions they needed to make to offer drinks etc. The chap running the team was meticulous in his work and orchestrated everything impeccably. This would have been our first 10/10 for service but one of the waitresses brought our last drink holding the glass by the top with her fingers all around the rim. We will definitely be returning to try the midweek menu . The Pecking Orders final verdict. Being just a few minutes off the M1 motorway it's definitely worth a detour if you're passing.

Had the pleasure of dining here tonight to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary (actually back in July - but due to circumstances beyond everyone’s control it happened tonight). From the moment we arrived James was the perfect host - we were made to feel more than welcome, we were made to feel at home. The atmosphere was so relaxed and James and Ava (hope I have spelt that right) were so friendly, so welcoming and so professional. Had a relaxing drink in the bar area before going to our table which is always nice. James fully explained the various options available and was very attentive without being overbearing. Our food was stunning, simply stunning. Scallops and Pate to start Cod wrapped in pancetta with butterbean, chorizo and red onion cassoulet and Fillet Steak with twice cooked chips - cooked to perfection for mains Dark chocolate Delice for Dessert. Service was stunning - professional without bowing and scraping (which I personally hate) and just plain friendly. We were not rushed at all, just made very welcome. No hesitation in recommending this restaurant and we WILL DEFINITELY return. Thank you for a superb evening.

We had our dinner there the food is great the fish butty was delicious and they did a pear cheese and potato soup and the other dishes that other people had looked very nice. And there is a Christmas market on until the end of December. If you go for a meal it’s best to book as it’s very popular.

Always an amazing experience to dine in/ takeout at Harvey’s. Food is consistently amazing quality and fresh. The restaurant itself is nice to dine in both inside and out and is very clean. Will always choose to come back, my favourite place to dine in Huddersfield. Only slight negative would be that parking is limited making it harder for assess especially if you are blue badge owner.

Arranged to meet a work colleague , I stay in the Las Vegas of the North , Blackpool and she travelled up from Digby. I’d looked on line for somewhere half way and found this little gem . The reviews prior to our visit were really good and looking at the menu we decided to get it booked and meet up. No dramas booking on line. Arrived in plenty of time and the staff got us menus with lunch specials and the mains and drinks whilst we looked through the menus . It took us an age to decide as there was that much choice and people were ordering around us and we were getting food envy , everyone the staff bought something else out from the kitchen. We eventually went for dough balls and chicken Goujons starters. We shared as they were to good to keep to ourselves . For the mains we both had the hanging chicken kebabs, one chilli and one garlic . You could select what fries you wanted with it and came with pitta and sauces. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better , we checked out the desserts and even tho there was plenty of selection , we both went for biscof cheescake , which I can only say was , life changing . Top surroundings , unreal food and staff on point . GET YOURSELF TO HARVEYS
