Absolutely blown away.. I was initially sceptical about Turkish food having been in few before. Fortunately we ended up visiting AYA on Sunday evening. Family of 4. The food was well worth waiting for (just long enough to realise all cooked fresh) meat tender and full of flavour, rice incredible and deserts to die for. All of us including two fussy kids ended up with empty plates. I've been to many places but this is the No. 1 for me and the family to go to atm. We will come back

Food: Ordered a sharing platter for two, just for myself. The meat is so tasty, succulent and melt-in-the-mouth that I NEED as much of it as possible. The puddings are fantastic too, I'd recommend the Baklava, really the most delicious pudding I've ever had. Service: Waiters visit tables quickly after you arrive and come back regularly for more orders. All the staff are friendly and cheerful, even making jokes. Food is served in good time and presented smartly. Prices are reasonable and absolutely worth it. Atmosphere: The restaurant is window- fronted, so there's plenty of natural light during the day. The indoor lighting is warm and relaxing. The kitchen is visible from the seating area so you can see and smell the food being prepared. The decor is wood, brick and plants on the walls. There are even positive neon motifs on the walls like "Good vibes only". The seating is comfortable and soft, the tables are solid and stable. Overall very inviting and friendly. I have been here a number of times with friends, having traveled long distance just to come here. You HAVE to try this place, and you'll see what I mean.

Such an amazing place! The food was epic and the atmosphere was welcoming! Every course of the meal was perfect and if you struggle to decide, ask for a recommendation you will not be disappointed! The Baklava, Raki and Turkish Tea/Coffee was the perfect way to end the experience! Great place for any occasion! Cannot not wait to return!

Our first time visiting Aya Wakefield and they are FANTASTIC!! The funniest, most thoughtful staff, nothing was too much to ask. A fantastic atmosphere, decor was spot on and the service was first class. We will be returning very very soon! Thank you!!

Excellent food and service. Crab linguine was fantastic, pizza topping was fantastic although I personally felt it could have done with a couple more minutes in the oven, and that was the general consensus on the table. Extensive menu, plus a specials board. Nice to have a choice of multiple house wines. Easy parking, would definitely visit again.

Our party of 10 ate here for a family birthday celebration. We had brought a box of 'mini' cupcakes from M&S to each have as we sang Happy Birthday before we left. Before we even had chance to put these into our mouths, a waitress came to our table, saying we couldn't eat food from outside the restaurant and we were not to eat them and to put them away. Her manner was shockingly abrupt, rude, aggressive and condescending. We were unaware of the restaurant's policy, and would not have brought them otherwise. But the attitude of this waitress was so shocking that we all agreed she could have explained the restaurant's policy to us in a more pleasant and professional manner. We paid the bill which was nearly £300, but the waiter returned to say we hadn't paid enough and wanted a further £20.00. We questioned this, and when the bill was recalculated, we had actually been overcharged by £65.00!!! In conclusion, the food here is very nice and we had a lovely family birthday, but somewhat spoilt by one waitress with a bad attitude towards customers. Don't take your own celebratory birthday cakes and check the bill!!!!

We bought a gift voucher 50% off and we eager to try. The salad bar had everything you need, everything was fresh and continuously being topped up. The best bit for me was unlimited peppercorn sauce yummy! The halal meats were good I think only a few options weren't served to us as they weren't halal. My favourite was the garlic steak. Garlic bread was amazing and they even bought chips to the table. Im not too happy with the 10% charge and the charity donation as this wasn't discussed. The hot pineapple was great. I enjoyed and would return. Parking is an issue!

Generally good service with a smile. The various meats available were very good and tasty although the gammon was excessively salty. The salad bar had a very nice selection but the hot choices were lacking. The Sticky Toffee pudding was delicious. A reasonable choice of beers but I expected more South American beers on the list.

Really beautiful food, we came to celebrate a friend's birthday & looking to book again. We used the £20 lunch deal, and it was absolutely amazing value for money! The salad bar was evidently fresh and constantly restocked, the meat came around with really nice waiting staff, who were polite and helpful. My daughter has ARFID & eating out makes it difficult for us, luckily the salad bar had lots of her safe foods on, such as plain rice, crackers, boiled egg and cheese. The staff also put chips on our table and brought more once they had been eaten. I didn't need to mention my daughters food disorder due to how friendly the staff were and how much of it was accessible to her needs. To find somewhere that gives her the opportunity to sit and eat in an actual restaurant with access to a large number or safe foods means the world to us as a family. We will certainly be returning 😊 10/10. *it is also incredibly clean and modern inside, a really beautiful place.

Fantastic place with excellent food, efficient service and very good value for money. I had a starter (pigs in blankets), a beautifully cooked pork belly with a celeriac slaw and a cheese board for dessert for just over £25. Fantastic.

I had a fantastic dining experience at Iris! The blue cheese arancini for starter was a standout with its well-balanced flavors and lovely texture. The confit duck leg for the main course and the golden snitch for dessert were equally delicious. The service from the staff was excellent. We will definitely be returning for more delicious meals! There was also a good atmosphere in the restaurant… it was busy but not too loud which a good selection of music playing.

We received a voucher from our letting agents to try a local restaurant. We really enjoyed our meal . We had some snacks, starters, mains and an extra side . I had an aperitif drink and a wine , my husband had a cider . Without the voucher it would have been around £75. Service was good at arrival and throughout but slow in the end when wanting to pay. It’s a pretty restaurant with a nice atmosphere. I’d recommend as a good restaurant in Wakefield.

Lovely little restaurant serving top quality classics, often with a twist. Come here relatively regularly, always very good. They are very accommodating for our children, we come with a toddler to an early sitting and the staff are amazing with her.

Decent food. Nice relaxing environment, whether eating in or just calling for a drink. Big thanks to Gerald and Durim on the bar - Both great guys!

We had the loveliest time at Damelios in Wakefield. The staff gave a warm welcome, the food was top notch and they even had a log fire burning. We will definitely be going back.

We enjoyed eating in this restaurant. The steak was nicely cooked and service was exceptional.

Had a lovely meal this evening, I have no complaints. The onion flower was amazing and the steak cooked perfectly. My partner said it was the best burger he's ever had. We spoke to a member of staff about the food and he said its all made in house even the bread buns. Would definitely recommend, thank you.

Decided to go here after seeing their Facebook posts. Food looked amazing on there but omg still wasn’t prepared for good it would be! Blooming onion was perfectly seasoned. Sauce was lovely. Had the fillet steak burger. Was so tender and well cooked.. Service was also second to none! Their attention to detail wasn’t too much but not too little. Loved the ambience! Well done guys!

Fantastic experience tonight. Been watching the videos on social media and come down, my expectations were exceeded by a country mile. Food and service was amazing, price was good for quality of food and the building was top notch.

I turned up without booking but they managed to fit us in. Typical American diner type atmosphere but at least there was no line dancing. The brisket was not bad in flavour, but I'm full of cold, and the salad was packed out with lettuce underneath.. Staff very friendly and served us quickly. I'd certainly call in again

We planned a birthday dinner and visited the venue earlier in the day for some drinks. Some of the staff were exceptionally attentive, anticipating our needs with great detail. The indoor cinema and outdoor play area for kids are a bullseye 🎯 - quite obviously, the team behind it knows what they’re doing. The dishes, which have an American signature, are excellent. However, they can be quite rich. The smoked chicken and beef were outstanding, and the sides were generous, with the maple sauce being a standout. The atmosphere is inviting and relaxing, and the staff are very friendly. Plenty of parking, and the venue is easily accessible. A couple of areas for improvement: When our mains arrived, we weren’t provided with fresh plates and cutlery, as the ones from our starters had been cleared. Additionally, while we appreciate the warm service, we found that addressing guests with phrases like “thank you, boss” can feel impersonal, and somewhat distant.

This place is outstanding! This was our first time here and we didn’t know what to expect! But my good gods, it was amazing. From start to finish… Liz!! Our whiskey friend! What you did fortnight dad on his birthday was just the sweetest, and because of you, we will be back! The food is excellent but the service makes this experience just that much more special! Hayden was warm and welcoming from the moment of walking in that made the experience as great as always. My wife and I go here most date nights as it is just a great BBQ place. The service from the whole team that looked after us was exceptional. Highly recommend going!

One of our party isn’t that mobile, and the staff were so accommodating, from letting us know where to park and being very welcoming as we arrived. We were there Sunday lunchtime, and there’s a Sunday lunch menu, but the whole a la carte menu is also available. Service was friendly and attentive throughout. The interior is stunningly decorated. 3 of the party went for the roast lunch and one from the main menu. The food was delicious and all in all a most relaxing and pleasant family time. Will certainly go back.

Excellent meal for my wife's birthday on a Saturday evening. We arrived slightly early and were shown to the bar while our table was made ready, so took advantage of getting a bottle of wine prior to sitting down. We were seated in the centre of the room, close to the old water wheel. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Had a garlic pizza bread to start, followed by a goat's cheese pizza while my wife had a salmon pasta dish. Dessert was a crème brulėe, while my wife had a liqueur coffee. Beautiful surroundings, wonderful atmosphere. Will definitely return again soon.

I booked this for a special occasion and it didn't disappoint! From first contact with the staff on the phone they went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Parking is best at the Newmiller Dam 5mins walk down the road. It is pay and display but free after 18:00. The restaurant is amazing as soon as you walk in there are so many private areas and historical features. Spread over multiple levels with lots of bars. The build spec is top notch. The staff are exceptional. Because we have a child on the spectrum the staff went the next level to accommodate us which is very rare. The sign of well trained and professional staff. We sat in a private booth near the kitchen which was vibrant and loads of space the relax. The menu is vast with something for everyone. Classic Italian dishes but with modern twist. Good for vegan and vegetarian and they asked about allergies before ordering. All the food was delicious and cooked to perfection. I had steak and it ranked among the best I have ever had. With a kids menu which is very generous and well thought out. The staff are attentive but allow you to enjoy your space. Very impressed and planning the next trip in the near future. Highly recommend.

Such a beautiful restaurant that I have been eager to visit! The staff were very friendly and helpful with great customer service, the atmosphere was very cosy over the Christmas period, with festive decorations everywhere and a big Christmas tree. The food was outstanding, I got the Christmas set menu where I selected the Italian vegetable soup with bread, a sirloin steak with mustard seed and mushroom sauce and a side of veggies, and a profiterole with whipped cream for dessert, everything was so delicious and divine. 10/10 recommendation and will definitely be returning!

Fantastic food real authentic, none of those cheap tinned tomatoes stuff here! Sophisticated decor and atmosphere with attentive waiters and a generous host. First time visit will certainly return.

The restaurant is beautiful, all staff were absolutely wonderful and it was such a welcoming atmosphere! I took my mum there for her birthday today, they were wonderful with my mum on her special day! Not to mention the food was top tier, I have no complaints and I will definitely be going again! Nice food waited a while for it to come. Prices was bit expensive. Loads on offer,only 2 disabled parking spots was full no badges display. Outside huts for if you got dogs which I was impressed with.

An incredible meat feast! I could hardly fault a thing with my meal nor the service. The 'Full House' burger was top tier. A mouthwatering stack of chunky beef patties which had superb flavour, tasty pulled pork and bacon as well as thick wedges of brisket. The brisket was a tad dry in places so a little chewy but had amazing flavour from the smoker. The bun was sweet and nicely buttered but fell apart quite easily and was also a bit dry. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite though. The sweet potato fries were great and the coleslaw was some of best I've ever had. I also had a half rack of BBQ ribs. These were really good value for the amount I got. They were also up close to the best I've ever had. Very little fat and the meat was lean but had a nice crop coating from the grilling. It's not a cheap place to eat but you do get a lot for your money so perfect for a rare treat.

Found this place for a spot of lunch. We were the first ones in. The place was beautiful, clean, and definitely had a good feel place to it. The service was quick. The bartender and the waiter were both helpful. There were so much to choose from the menu (see photos) they gave us reccomendations on what meal was a fan favourite etc. We ordered: "Nachos" to start with then"The Full House" burger and "The Chicken and Halloumi" Burger. (See Photo's attached) Absolutely incredible!! Tender, Tasty fully stacked goodness. I was blown away with it. The portion sizes were generous for an 18 stone man it filled me really well. The price is standard, it's not cheap but it's not expensive either but the quality is definitely worth the money. I could not discredit the food here from start to finish. I would highly recommend coming here with family and friends if you fancy a meaty feast bonanza.
