There's loads to mention here, but mark my words Slide Motorsport is truly a breath of fresh air when it comes to cars. When your car develops a fault as stressful as it can be isn't as bad as trying to find someone to repair it you can trust to look after your motor and get it back up and running. Trust can be hard to gain, but Slide have definitely earned it. My BMW 320d has an issue with the 2nd gear syncro and was causing the gears to crunch when changing. Dropped these guys a quick message and they got back to me promptly gathering some more info and getting it booked in. I had paid for warranty cover when I purchased the car around 10 months ago and despite being turned away by 4 other garages, this wasn't a problem for Slide and they were more than happy to deal with the hassle of this, so we got it booked in and dropped off. I spoke to Alex when I dropped it off and he was very knowledgable and went through the issue with me and went through the warranty companies T's&C's to make sure they were likely to accept the repair. It's nice to get some piece of mind. - Top marks to Alex. Slide were very quick to look at the car and respond to any messages the Warranty company had and the claim was soon accepted and work got underway. I was kept very well up to date my Matt (which isn't like a normal garage - who will keep you in the dark) His messages were clear and descriptive to someone who may not know much about cars. He was polite, prompt and professional throughout. I pickup up the car earlier than the anticipated fixed date (even though they did a little extra work for me), which is a bonus, spoke to Matt who is again very knowledgable and it's clear to see they all know a lot about cars! He went through all the work and costings with me (even though they were transparent throughout), paid and I was on my way. The car is running better than ever and it feels like a top repair. It's given the car a new lease of life and honestly made me fall in love with it all over again. Thanks for eveything guys, I will be back for anything that may crop up. I 100% recomment Slide to anyone who may read this comment.

I had a lot of work done at Slide, all of it being extremely high quality, The full custom exhaust system has beautiful welds, and is exactly what i asked for volume and tone wise! Had a new SR20DET and Link ECU setup put in to replace my standard SR20DE, everything looks great and runs lovely, all very tidy, Matt and the team gave good advice and recommendations for parts, and kept in contact through the whole process with lots of updates keeping me well informed Would 1000% recommend!

Pleased with the characteristics of the car after a full wheel alignment with Slide. A nice touch that they take the car for a spin and rig the gauges back up to double check their work. A little disappointing to not have a printout of how the car is setup to replicate it in the future in case of any alignment affecting repairs, but all in all, I'm happy with their work.

Our car broke down in whitby and we had to get towed back home, we asked to be taken straight to the garage thinking we'd leave it outside overnight and ask the next day if they could fit us in, he seen tow truck outside (late Sunday evening) he came out and opened gate to bring the car in, then fixed it the next day. My husband also takes his work vans here, i wouldn't go anywhere else! 😬

I had to have my car recovered to the garage after another local mechanic misdiagnosed an issue with my timing belt which led to a breakdown. Paul dealt with it all within a week and kept the price of repairs as low as possible, the car now runs perfectly and I will definitely be taking it back there in the future.

1st time using this garage, from the initial phone call booking my car in, dropping my car off and collecting my car, the staff were very friendly, the garage and office is well kept and clean (1st impression count) the year before I took my car to another garage in south Kirkby (won’t mention names) but I drove away thinking nothing feels like it’s been done, this wasn’t the case at bell lane, car feels good and the extra work I asked for was carried out, as the old saying goes you pay what you get for I won’t ever shop around for the cheapest garage again and after a couple of years trying to find the right garage, without having to go to Honda Doncaster and pay over the top prices, I can definitely say I’ve found the perfect one. I would also like to thank you for contacting me the following day to say I had dropped my wallet in the office, I can confirm no cobwebs were taken out the wallet haha, thank you very much.

Gearbox was playing up something chronic - Springhouse fixed it with some simple grease on the linkages and gearbox is as good as new for a very respectable price - first class service.

Can't fault the place. Being an ex C&G motor technician, I usually perform my own repairs and use SK Service station for MOT's. Although they have done repairs on my wifes car when I've been otherwise engaged. I always them very polite, professional and fair with the pricing.

Full service and glow plugs changed at short notice and at a very reasonable price. Honest and professional, I highly recommend South Kirkby Service Station.
