Absolutely fantastic sandwiches, the Italian and the tuna crunch are amazing. ( even if you’re a vegetarian) you can’t leave this world without trying it. ( true story )

Excellent food and service. I like how the Victorian charm of the building and its old timey feel contrast but somehow complememt the innovative menu! Each sandwich on the menu has been thoughtfully put together, and every order is made fresh with care. 10/10 would recommend.

Great place yo pick up a sandwich. We have called in a few times, and the sandwiches are made to order,using really fresh ingredients and have always been really good with enough filling. The sausage rolls are excellent and really great value for money. The people running it are really friendly and helpful, so all in all, it's a lovely local sandwich sop and deli.

Another great curry from the Moghul last night. I've been having delicious curries from here since 2000 - eating in and takeaway :)

An unexpected find when in the area visiting family. A lovely family run curry house. Really friendly! Take your own alcoholic drinks. We loved the food... very different from your average take-away or curry house. Authentic flavours - delicious!

This small, family run restaurant is definitely worth making a detour for. The food is excellent and the service is outstanding. If you want to tailor your meal, just ask. Everything on the menu is superb. Five stars are not enough.

Having worked in restaurants (Italians) for past few years of my life I can confirm this place is by far best Italian food I have seen eaten and purchased!! 10/10 quality 10/10 service CRAZY reasonable prices!! Bravo !! Also would recommend adding option to tip on card for when people done have cash :) you guys deserve it :) other wise you can leave cash :)

Beautiful little Italian restaurant in Ilkley. Great wine list, and we enjoyed glasses of the Italian Soave. Staff were friendly, and there was a lot of delicious dishes to choose from on the menu! We opted for the calamari and zucchini fritti and the mussels starter, followed by steak, and a seafood pasta. Seafood was good in quantity and size, fresh and flavoursome. The 2- or 3-course set menu is very good value.

Lovely restaurant with great atmosphere. Staff were fabulous and so helpful. Food was great. Lovely naan bread, tasty and well cooked. Lamb Saag was delicious. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful Indian food. The moment I walked in to order food to take away I was met with very warm and welcoming young lady, very helpful in what I wanted and made good suggestions, the restaurant was busy and felt cosy with a lovely atmosphere, the decor & ambience is lovely and relaxing and no bright horrible lights, very chilled with traditional Indian music playing. Well enough of all that and on to the food, gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous, the meat and chicken lovely and tender and small size pieces instead of huge horrible chunks you tend to get in most takeaway food, the sauces were delicious, butter chicken & rogan josh and korma we tried, really lovely. The onion bhaji starter was very tasty and done just how it should be, the naan breads both plain and garlic were beautiful, soft and lightly crispy in bits, but very soft until the last bite which is very rare from a take away naan, the poppadoms lovely and the garlic chutney dip really tasty along with the others we tried. Most definitely the best Indian take away we have had in a very long time, a must try if your wanted beautiful tasty Indian food. I am looking forward to booking a table and spending a couple of hours trying more of this delicious food 😋😍😁

AMAZING! I came here for a birthday dinner and it was so good! We all ordered completely different things and everything was so delicious. It was good portion size. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They even allowed us to bring a cake and lit the candle and sang happy birthday. Cannot recommend it enough. We will be back! I had the spaghetti bolognese which was delish 😋 The cocktail selection was very good. I would recommend the bramble cocktail!

The fish and chips from Burley Fisheries are some of the best I have ever had. Even better than most of the fish and chips I’ve had at the coast. The staff are friendly and polite. They accept card payments, and they have different size portions of meals so you can order or just what you want. Pros: - Card payments taken (AMEX is not accepted!) - Polite staff - Good selection on the menu with various portion sizes Cons: - Parking

A small friedly local pub with a good srlectoon of hand pulled beers. There is no food and no credit card facility, it is cash only at the bar. Dogs and children are welcome. It is particularly good in winter. when the log fire makes the pub warm.

Amazing quality food. I had the Philly steak sandwich £19. I've had this dish before at other places and been very disappointed but this time the steak and the cheese sauce were amazing with crisp tasty fries the best coleslaw and lots of shredded salad. It was very unusual for me to leave food, but the portions are fantastic and this one beat me! We went at lunchtime and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. It was the first time visiting The Hermit, although I had heard many good things about it. Is on my "Definitely got to visit again" list. Definitely worth 5 stars!!!

As first-time visitors to The Hermit Inn, we were impressed by the ambience, standard of service and the quality of the food. It's obviously a very popular spot, based on the number of customers when we visited on a Saturday lunchtime. The pub is on the route of a number of popular walks, and arriving by foot to such a welcoming pub is pleasant indeed. If you're planning to eat, booking a table is recommended; the booking slots are a generous two hours. The staff dealt with the steady flow of customers professionally, and with a friendly and welcoming demeanour. The menu has a good selection of dishes. Our food arrived quickly, a credit to the staff in what looked like a tiny kitchen. The food was tasty, and well-received by all our group. Would definitely visit again.

We were driving past and noticed it was a Free House so decided to stop for a quick bite to eat. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We chose a light lunch - husband had a mushroom and tarragon soup and I had potato and leek soup. Both delicious and served with sourdough bread. The menu and the food that was being served looked very good. If we had not already booked a table elsewhere that evening we would have gone back for dinner. Also a good selection of ales. Upper terrace has stunning views.

We had an exceptional dining experience and stay at the Penny Bun. Both of our meals were absolutely incredible—beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly prepared with the highest attention to detail. Compliments to the chef for an unforgettable meal! The staff were fantastic from start to finish, making us feel genuinely welcome and ensuring that every aspect of our evening was perfect. Their attentiveness, warmth, and professionalism truly set the experience apart. We’re already looking forward to our next stay in the new year and can’t wait to return for another wonderful meal. A gorgeous overnight stay and meal. We recent stayed in the Large room at the Penny Bun and had a wonderful time. The whole place has been decorated beautifully with lots of lovely small details (such as herbal teas for the room and bath salts for the huge free standing bath) that make the stay even more enjoyable. The food was also great, we opted for the fish pie and steak for our mains with a delicious bottle of white wine. Will definitely be back again.

Had Sunday lunch at the PB with friends. I had the beef, which was good, but husband had the pork, which was excellent. It came with REAL crackling, (not the stuff that's a bit of extra skin cooked separately). Washed down with a point of Black Sheep Bitter. Good service and a good atmosphere.

Lovely Sunday lunch in a fabulous location. Very stylish surroundings. Warm and engaging staff, friendly welcome from the barman. Roast pork and roast beef cooked to perfection followed by sticky toffee pudding and lemon curd parfait. Delicious. Special mention to Jade who looked after us so well. Our first visit and we will be back.

Enjoyed the Saturday lunch menu. The food was as good as any other Michelin restaurant I’ve dined at. The staff were friendly, and engaging about the food and drink. I couldn’t fault it at all. I will definitely return. Next will be the Sunday lunch and then the dinner service. Very good value for money too.

First visit but definitely not our last! This was an amazing night of tasting great food served by great staff. Great atmosphere I can’t explain in words how great every part of the evening was the food took centre stage. Many thanks to every member of staff from the front of house to the chefs.

This restaurant has managed to remain unchanged in its appearance for over 40 years! It’s a wonderful period piece but with a very up to date set menu which managed to please a picky octogenarian and her slightly younger children. The food tastes delicious and the wine list is good value too.

Got to be the nicest Chicken and Spinach Karahi I've ever tasted. This place was recommended and they weren't wrong. The portion sizes are very generous, staff are friendly and quick to ask if you need anything. We were working near and even had a second visit it was that good. Masala fish was nice and the prawn Puri. Would definitely recommend.

Westbourne is our absolute favourite. Always great food and service. Babar is one of our regular waiters and he is so polite and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant!
