Very warm welcome, big pizzas at fair prices, drink fairly priced also. The whole pub and grounds has been renovated to a very nice old/modern look standard. Definitely will return

Beautiful food, lovely outdoor area as well as inside. Extremely reasonably priced on food, but can be difficult to get a table inside due to popularity, so you may have to wait a little while before getting a seat.

Great pizzas and Sunday lunch! We’ve been here a few times for family meals as well as date nights. Good beer options, loads of space outside and wonderful staff

We were a bit late getting onto our table but I think this was due to the previous diners taking their (very sweet) time in finishing up! Great choice of dishes, something for everyone & a good choice of specials too. The food was delicious, everyone in our party of 10 enjoyed what they had. Great service and great food. A warm welcome on arrival, we were quickly seated and our order taken. Food came out fast and was delicious, and portions were generous. We stopped here while travelling further north, and we were very pleased we did.

A very nice place to eat, the staff were very friendly. The food was excellent. Unfortunately this is another establishment that does not stock zero alcohol wine, they stock a couple of lagers but no wine. More people are turning to non alcoholic drinks especially if you are the nominated driver.

Went for dinner (booked) last night (Saturday) we are not regulars but do go about every 6 weeks. From start to finish it was a lovely experience, drinks ordered and served to the table, fantastic menu and food was amazing - perfect portion sizes (large!) Our waitress was a lady called Cass and was absolutely what made our evening so nice, attentive without being in your face, knowledgeable and polite. The other waitresses seemed to be providing a similar service to other tables. Clearly a good management team. Well done 👍

Maisie served us and a very polite and helpful young lady. The food was delicious compliments to the chef and his staff I really couldn’t fault it. Just drinks or food 100% a very good place.

Came here for a meal with my dad and had a lovely time. There was a wide variety of dishes on the menu, definitly something for everyone. We opted of the homemade steak and ale pie and the fish. Both dishes were lovely. You can tell that the food is made with care and everything is homemade. The atmosphere was very chill and relaxing and the staff were also very nice and friendly. There was a large selection of drinks available too. A great spot to eat and drink in Ackworth 👌 Thank you to the angel team for having us 😊

Had a birthday celebration at lunchtime the food, service and atmosphere couldn't have been better. Excellent value and great tasting home cooked food. Can tell it's all freshly made. Thank you. Recommend without a doubt.

I was looking for a takeaway to sit and eat in my hotel room and came across this restaurant walking through town. It looked really sweet and I popped in to see if they could squeeze me in. They were really welcoming and the food was amazing, they clearly care about what they are doing and their customers. If I lived closer it's somewhere I would go regularly, definitely recommend.

Had an early evening meal here as we were staying locally. I have to say this is the nicest Italian food I have ever tasted. We shared a tomato and garlic bread to start, and my wife had lasagna while I had meatballs and tagliatelle. All were absolutely delicious and I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone

Just dropped in on our way home. They found us a table even though it was a Friday night. The food and service was excellent, would recommend it to anybody visiting the area BRILLIANT AND DELICIOUS!!!

Went for a carvery here and really enjoyed the food. The pub is clean and modern, menus are well-designed and the portion sizes are huge! Only sold sugar-free redbull which is weird and annoying as I felt sleepy after my large meal, but other than that no complaints

The food was really good with a great selection on the menu and a carvery. We opted for a large and a regular carvery and spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread. The portion sizes are very generous, and they offer a takeaway container if you don't eat it all. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the pub itself is warm and welcoming. This will now be a regular for us for food. We were definitely impressed.

We haven't been in for a long time and don't know why !! Very quick service and friendly staff along with a massive menu to choose from also a fully carvery. We had planned to get desserts too but honestly the starter and mains were so big we just had no room left !

We order from here nearly every weekend. They have a good selection of curries , starters and sundries. My dish of choice is the safran (nicely spiced made with chicken stripes and minced meat, not fatty mince either) if the owners read this I'm sure they'll know who I am by what I order 😂 Highly recommended so give it ago and youll never order from anywhere else again. If you are looking for a sit down meal then this is the place to go too, there is no alcohol served here so take ya own

What can I say, this was the best Indian food in a long time. Generous size portions , staff very helpful. Take your own alcohol as only soft drinks are served. Great value for money, will definitely call again when in the area.

Not used the rooms but the food either dinner time or evening are always done as requested. And the Sunday roasts are even better cannot fault the place .from the owners to the bar staff ..i don't go anywhere else for meal's as this is a perfect location to where I live .highly recommend

Went out for lunch , the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. I had lasagne chips salad and coleslaw very generous portions, and it was homemade. I can't remember the exact price, but it was about £7 I would definitely recommend it.

Friendly staff, comfy rooms and amazing food. Fairly quiet at night during the week so great place for anyone on a course or business trip. Try the lamb 👌

What a fantastic find on a chilly Thursday night close to christmas. Yes it was early 630,pm but you could feel the good vibes coming from this restaurant . The service was welcoming, the array of available drinks -brilliant. I got helpful suggestions with the menu as I was on my own, and as i was driving, was offered a host of non alcoholic beers. For food I ordered the calzone spicy meat ball with pepperoni. It was delicious. I would thoroughly recommend it. So a very pleasant evening, with a mix of customers and age groups. Good popular music just louder than background but not intrusive. A great place to eat or just drink.

Delicious pizza, nicely cooked with a good range of toppings. Friendly service and some great beers. Would recommend wholeheartedly.

Had my 60th birthday here. Brought 40 family and friends during Christmas week! The team weren’t fazed at all and we had seamless slick service. Gino and the team couldn’t be more accommodating to make sure I had a night to remember. A brilliant family run restaurant I would highly recommend. Thanks guys!!

Great place, lovely staff. Food was lovely, and when my steak wasn't right, they went back and straight away sorted without hesitation. (steak was very nice also). Lovely shots at the end of the evening. Lovely place 🥰 I had a calzone last time , and I highly recommend that.
